Its really… just average. I left thinkin… ugh so full, not damn that was good. First of all… it was Sunday night at about 7pm, but the restaurant was pretty quiet. Maybe 3 – 4 other tables with one of them js filled with the owners friends. The only reason why we came here was bc my friend has a baby… and we wanted to go to a lowkey spot. No where loud or busy or with a wait. Yeah its lowkey alright. 2nd floor of the building… and js really quiet and dingy inside. What ever. We ordered chadol, daechang, mah chang, and gopchang. Chadol was big and chewy… very chewy and felt thick. Meh… gopchang was whtever. just standard, buttt their makchang and daechang was realllllly good! They also had daechang sauce on the side *score All their side dishes were decent. the only thing that irked me about this place was the service. The waitress looked burnt out, tired, and just really not in the mood to serve. She would start leaving the table as were still asking for whtever. seemed like we were bothering her. It also didnt help tht we constantly had to ask for stuff… like really? Theres only 3 other tables… and when we rang the bell, the gentlemen who seemd to be the owner, would get up mid conversation with his friends… and ask us what we needed. No dude… you need to bring your friends another time… not during prime time dinner time while your waitress is hiding in the kitchen 80% of the time. This place could be better… really it can, but theres no effort. Good thing prices are dirt cheapp!

I’m not going to lie. I came here for the $ 15.99AYCE intestines deal. Yes, intestines. Luckily, their complete menu of meat and intestines, which is usually $ 17.99 just went through a price reduction and is now $ 15.99. It was such an awesome deal and we definitely opted for that. The meat quality was good. There were a lot of side dishes and the service was good. Our waitress was very nice. We had the brisket, pork neck, pork belly, beef tongue, large intestines, and squid. Everything was super delicious and they had different dipping sauces for your different meats. It gets even better when we found out that each bottle of soju is only $ 5.99. Most other KBBQ places will charge you at least $ 10 a bottle. We subsequently downed 3 bottles along with a large bottle of Hite. This took us 3 hours of noraebang aka Korean karaōke room to recover from. If, like me, you like to drink excessively when eating Korean BBQ, this place is perfect. The karaōke room in the same block called Chorus is $ 10 per hour only for a small room in case you need to wear off the alcohol. The restaurant itself is a little hidden up on the 2nd floor. We went on a Tuesday and there were only 3 other tables that were occupied. They play kpop and the place is super chill. They don’t rush you and come around to help you cook from time to time.

Was here on last thursday. It was little busy but there was no waiting. The service here is okay and fast. But Their dae-chang. Is the best!!! People talks about byeoldaepo all the time but mankang’s daechang is much better than anywhere else. Love it so much. I always come back for the dae-chang here. Craving for daechang again.

This place is okay. There is no wait, and it is cheap if you opt for the 13.99AYCE dinner option. It is a pretty standard Korean BBQ joint without all of the fuss of K-town crowds. My party and I had the brisket, pork belly, pork neck and bulgogi. Everything was just okay. it was not particularly fresh(the brisket came out slightly frozen), but still tasty when you combine it with all of the condiments. The banchan options were limited as well, and the rice paper was dried out. My favorite of the evening was the pork neck which was a nice change of pace from the usual slew of Korean BBQ meats. Would I come back? I do not think so. Should you come here? Yes, if you’re hankering for grilled meats without a long wait on a Friday night. The restaurant itself does not face Western, you have to actually turn east on 4th, and it is located in the plaza juxtaposed in the neighborhood. Valet is 2 bucks.

Good all-you-can-eat(ayce) Korean BBQ spot! We ordered the cheapest dinner combo at $ 13.99 for brisket, beef/pork bulgogi, pork belly and pork neck. Meat isn’t stellar but it wasn’t too fatty. The table favorite was the bulgogi(tasty marinade!) and the least favorite was the pork belly(I got a bunch of random bone chunks). There’s a good variety of banchan(fried onion strips, kimchi, radish kimchi, potato salad — a favorite, cabbage salad, rice wrappers, radish wrappers(loved this with the meat. A good textural and acidic contrast without making you full). I noticed she brought a spread right away but no kimchi until we asked(so there may be even more variety). We also got an egg soufflé. My friends and I went on a weekday which meant no wait(about 15 other people present on a Monday night) and stellar service(we never had to ask her to come to the table to order more food or switch grills – she was already there offering or bringing something else). I would definitely come here again.

This place is so so good. First off, this place is small and yes, there are only 2 waitresses working… but believe me, they do a GREAT job. We also get the Cha-dol + Dae-chang combo(You can choose Sang kyup sal instead of cha-dol). It is the BOMB. Banchan: spicy seaweed«salad», potato salad, season perilla leaves(OMGSOGOOD), dduk, and they always have this shoestring deep friend sweet potatoes. The salad is shredded cabbage and onions with a slightly citrus sesame dressing. It’s amazing. Meat: Very high quality Cha-dol, very good, no gamey flavor and even my husband who HATES Cha-dol loves it. The Dae-chang is also super super delicious, it comes with a duo of dipping sauces and I love the one that has the grated garlic in it… Egg soufflé, Dwen-jang soup and scorched rice soup finish off the meal and these are all okay, but nothing special. This place is so good.

My family and I decided to try a new Korean BBQ restaurant out for Mother’s Day weekend and to our dismay, it didn’t hold up the 4 stars on Unilocal for me :( Customer service was not that great because our waiters/waitresses forgot things and even though it was a couple of them attending to the tables, the place really wasn’t crowded. They have a buzzer on each table and we would have to buzz it a few times since they wouldn’t be prompt about it or didn’t care about it. The salad mix was weird because it was mostly stringy cabbage instead of chopped lettuce(which I prefer). The meats were good such as the pork belly and prime steak but something about their banchan(side dishes) had msg in it. For $ 17.99 all you can eat KBBQ dinner, I would rather spend money and family time elsewhere.

Shhhh, I am letting you in on a secret! The secret is a fabulously delicious AYCEKBBQ spot located on the western fringe of Koreatown! Just ask Yi Z. who came here when it was truly a secret place! They have a $ 8.99 lunch special which is great but the fabulous Gloria R. and I opted for the #2 choice which is valued at $ 13.99! It includes pork belly, bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, brisket and spicy pork. Let me tell you that the brisket is perfect here, not too much fat and not too lean so it’s quite flavorful. The bulgogi was really good. Probably my favorite item of the day! According to Gloria R. it is close to being as tasty as her Korean mother’s food. The pork belly was good but neither Gloria nor I liked the fact that it was served thick. Some places only serve the thin slices and some give you the option of thick or thin. The teriyaki chicken was great too! It was marinated to perfection and had a great gingery taste to it that just made my mouth water! We didn’t get to try the spicy pork. Some places do not mix their sesame oil and salt dips well. Here they are masters at it! Very delicious! They serve a little plate of red chile sauce and soy sauce with jalapenos. If you like spicy you won’t be disappointed here! Most importantly, they had my favorite banchan, which is missing at many places, the daikon radish wraps. Honestly, I judge places for their banchan and this place made me happy with the ones they served! They served a good share of rice paper which was cut just the right size. Some places skimp and you have to ask for it over and over. Not here! There was also a delicious sea weed salad that was drizzled with a great red chile sauce. There were also some crispy sweet yam(?) things which looked like crispy noodles. Finally, there were some delicious fish cake looking things too. The large bowl of salad they serve was a hit too! I thought their steamed egg was not as tasty as at other places which add a hint of sesame flavor to it. Our grill was changed several times without us asking(more than I have ever seen before actually) and the server was pretty good at getting us our banchan refilled. The place does not have great décor but it was clean and pretty well ventilated. In the right hand corner they have a large animé style cartoon of Mr. Lee himself with graffiti on it written by satisfied patrons. I wonder if I can add my message next time. Fortunately, Man Kang is only a pleasant stroll away from my apartment but if you drive here there is a medium sized lot inside the odd strip mall that Man Kang is located in. No need to valet! Parking is difficult in this area so be prepared for a walk. The restaurant’s entrance is on the second floor and the only way to get up there is through an entrance on 4th Street. I think that along with Grace Y. this may be my new favorite KBBQ spot!

So the fabulous Miguel R and I planned a day for AYCEKBBQ. He suggested Man Kang. So we took a little stroll and came to Man Kang to find it kinda empty(only one table occupied). We were seated right away and set up with menu, water, and banchan! They have a variety of options for your AYCE pleasure, even an $ 8.99 lunch special. We opted for choice #2 for $ 13.99 and immediately started with the beef brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi! I really loved the beef brisket, nice cuts of meat with just the right amount of fat for flavor. If you know me I’m kinda picky and don’t like fatty meat! The bulgogi was also yummy! It reminded me of my mom’s cooking. The pork belly had a very thick cut and was just ok. By the time we finished all that we chose just to get the teriyaki chicken to end our lunch. The chicken was also marinated well and was tender. The steamed egg pot was also quite de-lish! Service was excellent, the grill was changed several times without us even having to ask! He also brought us plenty of water and refilled our banchan when we ran out! This a great spot to eat with great quality meat. I definitely recommend!

I’m not an AYCE kind of guy anymore, but my buddy Doug K certainly is. He recommended Man Kang. I certainly trusted his recommendation as K-Town is his stomping ground and I figured he knows his K-bbq, since he’s Korean. They have a pretty simple menu. About 5 different levels of AYCE, with more offerings with each increasing prices(extra $ 2 each level) I think we got the most expensive one — which included everything. Meat was good. Seafood was good. Sidedishes were good. They also bring out a huge salad — i think it’s finely cut cabbage with some shredded green onion. Place was not super crowded on a Wednesday night, so service was prompt. Man Kang has an address on Western, but the parking entrance is actually on 4th St. You won’t see the restaurant if you’re looking or driving down Western. $ 2 parking fee cause of the Valet guys. I preferred to find parking on the street instead. I generally don’t like strangers driving my ride. I would certainly come here again.

* Based on AYCE standards, this place is really legit. * Lunch price is $ 9.99. The sides are better than many a-la-carte Korean restaurants. * The meat quality is better than many comparable Korean AYCE joints. But don’t expect Kang Hodong or Park’s quality. * Soju is a reasonable $ 6/bottle(not the $ 12 that’s charged at pricier places). * I’ve been here a few times; never a wait.

Seriously would have never came here if it weren’t for knowing someone in K-town who lived literally a few blocks away. The restaurant is hidden, located in a small shopping center on the 2nd level. I would say it is one of the smaller AYCEKBBQ restaurants I’ve been to. We sat right by the door… table for 4 – 5. There were different items they had brought out that I had never seen… a purple radish and a leaf that can be used to wrap the meat in… w/or as a substitute w/the rice papers. I had a pretty good experience here… might have been because I was grubbing with people who knew how to speak Korean.

What better way to spend Thanksgiving than AYCEKBBQ… Yum Yum Yum! Good quality meats, Good service and a Clean restaurant. $ 17.99AYCE option– Meats: prime filet(1pc for 2 ppl), marinated beef rib, beef brisket, rib finger, beef tongue, 3 types of intestines, pork neck meat, teriyaki chicken, grilled pork rib, pork belly, marinated spicy pork, chicken gizzards and octopus w/raw salt. Plus: Dongchimi Noodles(Cold noodle soup), steamed egg, soybean paste stew, salad and brown rice. Ordered: Prime Filet, Marinated Beef Rib, Beef Brisket and Marinated Spicy Pork. All the meats were DELICIOUS and best of all, NOTFATTY! The prime filet, beef rib and spicy pork were so tender, juicy and flavorful(drools!). The brisket was the best I’ve ever had… thinly sliced and marbled. Cabbage Salad: loved the citrus dressing. Remember to mix well. I didn’t care for the onions tho(bleh). Banchan: lacking and wasn’t the greatest… Soybean Paste Stew: So good! Dongchimi Noodle: not bad… Service: Very attentive! They changed our grill w/o having to ask. Servers were nice and friendly. Parking: Valet or Street. I’m a FAN and will definitely return!

Oh wow my new favorite AYCEKBBQ!!! Open on thanksgiving day my GF and I decided to eat AYCEBBQ here for the first time. I was very very impressed with the quality of meat that was brought out. We opted for the $ 17.99 menu and we ordered the Prime Fillet, Marinated beef rib, beef brisket, and the spicy bulgolgi. Prime Fillet= 1 Per 2 People. Delicious!!! Super nice but with barely any fat. Nice and tender and full of flavor. Marinated beef rib= Super marinated and full of flavor. No fat whatsoever and super super tender. Destroyed our grill with flavor! Beef Brisket= One of the best quality beef briskets i have eaten at any AYCE restaurant hands down! Spicy Bulgolgi= Nice and spicy, super tender, super marinated and mixed together with kimchi! Very very delicious. Dongchimi noodle= Cold noodle with a slight vinegar broth, I’ve had better but worth a try. Soybean Paste Soup= Delicious, not too salty and full of flavor. Service= Very attentive workers changed our grill 5 times during our dinner. Parking= Small parking lot looks to be valet only but we came on thanksgiving so it was self parking. Will definitely be bringing my friends to Man Kang!

As was mentioned in other reviews, the beef brisket is really good! We had the $ 13.99AYCE dinner option which included the brisket, teriyaki chicken, spicy pork, and 2 other options we didn’t decide to try(too full!!!). The service here is really speedy, no wait, and the sides are generous. Not those small side plates, they were in these big bowls. Beef brisket– might be my first time trying it, and it was satisfyingly good. The spicy pork was my favorite though, so tender, and tasted like bulgogi. The teriyaki chicken wasn’t dripping with sticky teriyaki sauce, rather, it tasted like it was marinated with mirin/soy sauce — so a lot lighter. It was really tender though. I’d probably order more spicy pork and teriyaki chicken next time… make sure you cook it all the way! I have a tendency to take it off the grill when it’s still slightly raw lol. I don’t like over cooked meat. And they had FOUR wrappers(rice, leaf, lettuce, and another purple wrapper), so delicious, including sauces(sesame oil, vinegar sauce, soy bean paste, hot chili pepper sauce, etc). THe cabbage salad with citrus(orange) flavoring was so good too, refreshing. I like when cabbage is shredded so thin like that. I also like grilling the sliced garlic and placing it in the wrap. This place made for such a nice, pleasant dinner. Kdramas or news was playing on the background TV. ANd the soju is really cheap here, $ 5.99 for chumchurom or chamisul, we’ll get some next time. Everyone was drinking lol. It really goes well with the meal, I do agree. You can find free street parking in the residential streets, not too far away. Glad I found this restaurant~

GREATKBBQ! Has become a bit of my to go spot now. Why? The brisket! That alone is enough to make this place 4 stars!!! it’s just THATFREAKINGGOOD Parking: SUCKS! Valley only or street… and street = lots of walking $ 18 is the deal we usually get. Good selection of meats. But it’s all about the Brisket. Brisket brisket brisket! Service is good when the girl is the one you talk to… she always brings things quickly and correctly; heck she refills your water and sides without you having to ask. Changes the grill too without needing to be asked. Love it. The guy… forgets things… a lot. Maybe he was new when I went as he was running around a lot as if he had no idea what to do… Whether it was from ordering to the grill change to ordering food. It’s okay though, it wasn’t that baaad. it’s just that the girl was so much more attentive and better. I will be back. I need that brisket!

How to eat Korean BBQ, the real way!: Wrap your meat, preferably a hot piece of beef brisket, dipped in the sea salt and pepper seasoning, wrap with half a piece of raw garlic. wrapped, and dipped in the sauce and put the entire wrapped in your mouth. Now chew and enjoy that favorable rush or the garlic piece of meat! YUM! I never get over that hype. No matter how many times I tell myself, I am so over Korean BBQ. No more… I always ended up craving for it 2 weeks later! lol 4.5 Stars! What a great find! $ 13.99AYCE for 5 different kind of meat.(Beef Brisket, Pork Neck, pork belly, teriyaki chicken, spicy marinated pork) The meat was so delicious! Pork neck and Beef brisket was my favorite! I can’t believe they have pork neck in their $ 13.99 price category. They’re very generous with their side dishes, and their tofu and steamed egg was so good! No waiting, nice service, good meat quality. Nothing was over fatty. I love their beef brisket and pork neck. meat. So far I love this place so much, I had it twice in a week!!!

8.99AYCEKBBQ for lunch. 11 for dinner. I should just stop right there. Those prices are outrageous. Given that they are for the basic brisket, pork belly and pork neck, but what more do you really need? This place is CLEAN, they give you a good variety of side dishes, service is fast, there is never a wait, grill cooks fast. Besides that, the quality of meat is above average. If you want good kbbq without breaking your wallet or waiting for hours, this spot is for you! Only downside is that you have to find street parking… but then again, it is LA.

AYCE w/the changs(gop chang, mak chang, dae chang) for $ 17.99! Meat: — prime fillet(cook it medium rare! yummm) — rib finger(must get!) — marinated beef rib — grilled pork rib — pork belly — beef tongue — spicy pork belly — pork neck — beef brisket — large intestine(dae chang. so good!!) — abomasum(mak chang) — small intestine(gop chang) — baby octopus w/soybean paste stew, steamed egg, salad , and nooroongji We tried all the beef and they were awesomeeee ESPECIALLY the rib finger meat: D mmmm. then we had two plates of large and small intestines w/bottles and bottles of baekseju($ 9.99 each, $ 5.99 for other sojus) and Hite($ 5.99) :] Banchans w/3 types of wraps: pickled sesame leaves and rice papers were so good! With AYCE style being far from traditional, this is as close as it gets to being in S. Korea for unlimited grilling. The option to have a pure intestine dinner(3 kinds) for $ 14.99? — Check. Dirt cheap soju for $ 5.99(chamisul, chumchurum, any!)? — Check. Excellent service? — Chickity check. My absolutely favorite banchan(side dish) was the deconstructed potato salad with a layer of sweet potato mash. Innovative and delicious! We ordered the $ 18/pp option with the choice of: Prime Fillet, Rib Finger, Marinated Beef Ribs, Grilled Pork Ribs, Pork Belly, Beef Tongue Spicy Pork Belly, Pork Neck, Brisket, Large Intenstine, Abosum, Small intestine, Baby octopus Good — Prime Fillet(please order this first. don’t overcook it, chef) Pork belly — original or spicy. The cuts were thick and juicy Tongue — Not your typical brisket-clone cut of meat, but looked more like sliced salami. Control the temperature when cooking(don’t overdo it), and it’s perfecto. Just okay — Brisket — although less fattier than most brisket, it was bit on the tough side. Maybe I’m over the paper thin style of brisket The dipping sauces were excellent, and all the meats paired well with the excellent side dishes. There were more options to explore, but we were incredibly full so we ended with the meats and didn’t touch the seafood option. May I even suggest you to stop by the neighboring foot massage parlor, hair salon, and even yoga all residing in the same plaza? Absolute bliss
