I spent 50+ dollar online, paid 2 dollar delivery fee, 3 dollar tips, their delivery man complain right to my face, saying I am being stingy. I don’t know if it is my fault, but I am not very comfortable with that

Wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I was part of a group order at work. Ordered the hot braised string bean with spicy sauce. It is highly flavorful, and the texture is good — not mushy at all. Unfortunately, the selection for vegetarians isn’t the greatest; it doesn’t look like any of the appetizers are vegetarian. Also, the entrée didn’t come with rice, which was surprising. Side note: we ordered through Seamless because this restaurant allows group orders. The order came on time, and no orders were wrong.

Waited 1 hour or more for food all cold and brought out at same time people waited a long time for takeout and to be served even took a long time for our drinks and they turned people away

My girlfriend and I were craving Chinese food, and this was the highest rated delivery place nearby. We ordered fried rice, General Tso’s, Potstickers and Hot and Sour soup. All pretty standard, classic dishes. And ALL were bland and flavorless. The potstickers were soggy and the General Tso’s was more breading and than anything else. All in all, it was really disappointing. We would not try again.

Ordered delivery from this place. This will be the first and last time. My order arrived nearly an hour after I had placed it. The man who delivered my food was most unappreciative and rude. They had mixed up the tip method and had put down cash tip. When I went downstairs to pick my food up the delivery guy became furious that I did not have a cash tip for him. I asked him to come up so I could get it for him. I came back out of my place with cash and he grab it from me turned around and left without a word.

I called my order in and came in to pick up but was told it would be a couple more minutes. Understandable. I’ve been waiting here for about 25 minutes now and since then they served two families, Sent out several to-go orders and even fulfilled a to-go order for a man who walked in(after I arrived) and ordered a large order and demanded them to be quick about it. I was a regular customer and brought my friends here regularly but I won’t be coming back. I don’t appreciate being forgotten(and yes I reminded them I was waiting). edit: 50 minutes in I finally got my order. yes, 50 minutes for one entrée.

Good, hearty fare cooked up in blazing speed. Arrived for my To-Go order, and it was already waiting for me. Place looks comfortable: small and casual place. Food-wise, we had just a few dishes, and they were good: Won-Ton Soup = tasty and hearty; Clear broth with bok choy and many meat dumplings. If you’re a purist, well, I dunno, but these were good. Also, Beef with Broccoli was tasty and appropriately crunchy. While phoning the order in, I asked for No or Low MSG. I believe they followed through with my request. Nobody was crazy-thirsty afterwards. Tried the Shrimp Egg Fu Young, which was large and good as-is. But even better when you drizzle on the separately-packed sauce. These three dishes were more than enough for three of us. Definitely worth a try. Park in the lot, off Westwood.

This place is really conveniently located to me. The food is surprisingly good. Consistent, authentic chinese food. Service is a little bit slow and the parking in the lot is a little bit challenging. But nevertheless consistent food. I come here frequently with my Mom with prefers to eat Chinese food.

It’s my second time to have their food. The first time is okay. I would give three stars because i dine in. The restaurant is old and the light is a little dark, so i did not enjoy eating there food is good except one dish is okay. While i went again yesterday because i crave for Chinese food. I order to go because of my last experience. I am very stratified about the staff. Attitude is good and they prepared food so fast. All dishes they recommended are tasty. Also, they secretly gave me desserts, Sesame balls!!! Very delicious. Thanks, i will love to order again.

For those who know mandarin food, this joint is more Hong Kong style. It’s tasty, saucy, and Americanized. Yet… If you are craving east coast Americanized Chinese, it hits the spot. But do be aware it’s also a bit pricey considering the locale, west LA. Order the honey walnut shrimp and some white rice. Can’t go wrong.

Ordered a delivery of Walnut Shrimp with Honey Glazed, B.B.Q. Pork Fried Rice, and Rock Cod Fillet with Corn On Steamed Rice for a dinner for 2. Delivery came very quick, actually too quick; I was trying to change the delivery time because I wasn’t too hungry yet but the food arrived in about 20 minutes! Oh well, can’t really complain about their speed, but I can certainly complain a little about the delivery guy. He spoke poor English, but really his manners were what bothered me. He refused to go to the place that I specified in the order, saying that he always parked at this spot for orders in my area. After 15 minutes of looking, I did find him, and he wasn’t as rude as on the phone, so meh. Food-wise, it was pretty good. The Fried Rice was decent and had enough flavor, and the Rock Cod Rice had a decent amount of cod. As with many Chinese delivery places, portions are plentiful, and me and my girlfriend left enough for another whole meal. The Honey Walnut Shrimp on the other hand was poor, especially considering its price of $ 13.99. The other two dishes were moderately cheap.

This has been one of my favorite authentic Chinese grubs on the west side for awhile now, but I did notice some changes tonight – a completely new menu, diff taste in the fried rice, and different staff(this could be due to scheduling but I used to be able to recognize at least one person at the counter). The hot sour soup here is ideal(love it) and is just what it should be, no complaints here! The fried rice(I usually get seafood or shrimp) here was one of my favorites until tonight. I noticed a change in flavor, previously it was very aromic(香 in Chinese) without tasting like full on soy sauce/salt– but tonight was the latter which made me wonder whether or not there’s been a change in ownership/management. Bring back my original fried rice recipe please! Also got the cod and veggies(fish) and although the flavor was great, the dirt on the veggies was distracting and made me wonder whether or not they even washed it! Also they have a B grade and I don’t remember if it was B before, but this will definitely keep me from coming as much as before. Overall, nice and attentive servers, fairly good tasting food, but please WASHTHEVEGGIES and bring your grade up to an A. Still one of my top authentic Chinese restos in west LA though due to convenience. New menu also features online ordering although I haven’t tried.

Ordered delivery. I got the pork and thousand egg porridge with a large size hot and sour soup. Mistakes were made! I found 2 rocks in my hot and sour soup, and a small piece of wood as well!!! This is so unsanitary and unsafe! The soup also tasted very bland and watery, and after finding all those things in my soup I was very hesitant and careful about each subsequent spoonful of soup I ate. I ordered this as comfort food since I have a cold and sore throat, I can’t handle solid things at the moment. But instead I get rocks and pieces of wood in my soup!!! Instead of comforting me, this stuff might actually make me SICKER!!! STAYAWAY, DON’T EATTHEREORHAVEFOODDELIVEREDFROMTHERE!!!

Ordered General Taos chicken a little before closing time. Big mistake. Was delivered some leftover reheated food. So dry and hard I had to throw it away. When I called in, I was told that they were closing soon and cannot make another delivery. Used to order from this place regularly. After today, never again. Hope the $ 30 you made today was worth losing a customer. #shadybusinesspractices

I was super excited to see the $ 6.99 lunch specials on the menu. We ordered the vegetable medley and a bean curd with pork/veggies dish to split between the two of us. Each dish comes with a bowl of rice and a bowl of soup. The soup came out first. It was hot and sour soup that day… and it was literally just a bowl of goop. There was sooooo much cornstarch, and that’s pretty much all it was. Not that much flavor, and barely anything inside. To make things worse, I found a hair in my soup… so disgusting. When the rest of the food came out, I noticed the same goopy-ness in all of them. I swear all this place uses is cornstarch. The vegetable medley was okay for the most part(besides the goop) except for the tofu, which was strangely sour. Didn’t touch the tofu in the dish after that. The bean curd dish was okay. Not as goopy, thank god. The sauce they used was pretty good and the dish had a good amount of flavor. The food came out surprisingly fast… but seeing that all they really dump in is cornstarch, I’m not that surprised. Portion sizes are amazing for the price. Service was overall just okay. It’s a pretty small restaurant, and the servers crowd around by the register talking really loudly in Chinese. It was a bit distracting. Too be honest I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Meh, the only thing I liked about this place is the fact that there is a parking lot outside the restaurant. As someone who is just visiting here couple times a year, I dread going out for food because finding parking always gives me a headache But the food? well I only had one thing here and it was bbq pork pan fried noodles. however, they gave me bbq pork chow mein, and as a Chinese American myself, I do understand there is a difference between actual«pan fried noodle» and plain old chow mein noodles. Disappointed to say the least, I was looking forward to the crispy pan fried noodles, instead I got the panda-express-esque noodles. Other items on menu might be good, but with my not so great first experience with this place, not sure if I’ll try other dishes

Boy, was I generous with my first review. Perhaps it was written in a sense of «wishful» reviewing. We’ve come here many times afterward, and continually struggle to find anything worth eating, besides the fortune cookie at the end. On this particular night, we ordered two dishes: the chicken lettuce wraps, and the fish/tofu clay pot. The chicken that made up the filling for the wraps was breaded, and the vegetables were unidentifiable. Even the hoisin sauce was watered down, which didn’t spread nicely on the lettuce wrap, still dripping with water. As for the fish, you can examine the picture of the fish dish in my profile. The clay pot was stuffed full of minute amounts fish surrounded by tons of breading. The restaurant is clearly trying to push«quantity» over«quality». But I would have been happier to eat a small amount of fish, rather than try to muddle through this breaded slop. A better title for this dish would be «flour/tofu clay pot». Both dishes were overly salted and oily, probably to mask their not-so-fresh flavors, and I felt sick and bloated after trying to eat it. We should not come back here. It’s really sad that there isn’t good Chinese food in west LA. This place will stay in business because of Americans’ love affair with oily foods.

I’m so disappointed. I ordered the same entrée as usual and they added canned– yep you read it right– CANNEDMUSHROOMS! What the dkeovksk— ugh— Awful what’s gone wrong guys?!? At the least just tell me you’re out of fresh mushrooms and when I told them my dish tasted like tin can because of my mushrooms they denied it. Uhmm yah. I’m just a liar. Rating gone down, as has the service. Shaking head, tsk, tsk
