A very generic Thai restaurant. There are a lot better thai restaurants near the area.

Tom kah kai wasn’t the best. The chicken pad thai was decent. They were very nice tho.

Used to frequent the old Thai dive that closed a couple years back. Food is better now. Ordered the Musseman curry which is delish but different than what I’m used to. It has cashews in it and no potatoes. But lovely and fragrant. All white meat chicken. I asked if they have phở and the nice waitress said she could make it for me, but that hardly anyone asks for it. But it’s a Thai joint so I went with the curry.

How has this lovely restaurant accrued only 6 reviews? Every dish we’ve had has been excellent — pad thai, kra pao beef, kai kua noodles, various curries. These have been so good that we’ve scraped up every bit of them – and lamented when there was none left! A+ thai fried rice, crispy and delicious egg rolls. Can’t go wrong here. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant is warm and cozy, takeout fast and fresh and«tastes like someone cares!» 4⁄5

Fast delivery, and great service through the eat24 app. When they mean spicy, they mean it! So, order not spicy or mild if you don’t have a lot of drinks on hand. Delicious green chili fried rice. Close proximity to CHLA on Sunset.

This place isn’t bad. Really friendly and helpful service. The food is pretty good but nothing to rave about. Very accommodating! You can pretty much get any dish the way you want it. We usually end up telling the server what vegetables/meat we want and she comes up with a dish for us. Great place to grab lunch if you’re waiting on a loved one at the hospital. Walking distance to Kaiser Permanente which is probably the only reason I’ve eaten here a few times. Reasonably priced.

I frequent this place constantly as I work at the hospital across the way and it is the only Thai food in walking distance. I order something new almost every time because I am never impressed with the dish I order. Either too greasy, bland or just totally mediocre from other Thai restuarants. Clearly, the restaurant was on the verge of failing before. I see very few, if any, customers during lunch hour or dinner and the place was recently remodeled but the décor was NEVER the problem. The bottom line is the food is rarely worth a second-go. They NEED a certifed Thai chef in the kitchen if they expect to make it in this competitive and tough economy with dozens of other Thai restaurants in close vicinity. I hope they are reading this and I’m sure they are cuz they post laminates of the only two Unilocal reviews on their walls. Just looks terribly insecure and awful. I want this place to succeed so please hire a certified chef!

This location frequently changes hand, and I hope that Masaya Thai Food is here to stay because the food is really fresh and delicious. I had the pad see ew with chicken. The noodles were done perfectly, the chicken was tender, and the dish was very flavorful. The lunch special came with a large heaping pile of rice and a crispy egg roll. With all of the hospital staff nearby, lunches get pretty busy. We were able to get in and out within an hour, but it was cutting it close. I think the wait staff and cook were a little frazzled the day we came(I overheard that one of the cooks was out that day). I hope that the restaurant is able to keep up with the demand and lunch rush so we can continue having good thai food!

It was close and I had a craving for Pad Thai. Plus there were no reviews for the place and I felt obligated as a Unilocaler to see what was up. Great price on the lunch special and everything tasted very fresh. Egg drop, 2 crab wontons, chicken pad, and some rice… 8 bucks. It’s quite good. Not heavy on the oils, friendly, easy to park next door, and it’s good!
