This location is our go to for a «burger spot in the hood». The customer service is better, and they take phone orders and ACTUALLY have your meal ready when you get there! We eat here about once every 6 months. I don’t go without my husband and I don’t get out the car. It’s not in the best neighborhood. Double King Combo w/bacon is what we always get :) I have no complaints. They definitely have mastered a delicious burger!

I like to thank the management first for you simple, but deserving burger house! I really had fun and memorable moment in here! I would be so comfortable to recommend it to my family and friends and won’t be regretting doing it! I just had by far the best meal here at Master Burger No 2 ! I usually get a burger and fries in other fast food resto to eat, yesterday I tried their own version of it, the patty cheese burger and pastrami chili cheese fries. The food was great! I felt the taste of a juicy meat and melted cheese, and that’s a thing that doesn’t happen all the time. Sure to come back here this weekend!

I really like the cheeseburgers here at master burger. Cooked to perfection! The french fries are good too. I would choose this place over any burger place like mcdonalds, burger king, and etc. You should come check this place out.

I’m sorry guys, nothing about this place is good. The only thing I can say is that they cook to order, that’s it. The meat they use don’t taste good and they disguise the bland taste with cheese, the fries too are cooked in some horrid cheap oil and disguised in seasoning. With places like harrolds accross the street its hard to return here.

Drove from OC to try this place out. We got there 20 before the restaurant«closed». The guy asked us what we wanted i asked him for literally 1 minute since it was our first time and we already new what we wanted. He came back 10 seconds later to say that they were closed. Really? 9:40? Closed? All signs said open and the guy refused to take our order when right when we left he took other peoples orders. Extremely filthy place to begin with and on top the service was disgusting. Felt dissapointed for the drive there and the service.

Hard to believe that ‘A’ rating. Of course, the sketchy, stained, cracked, grimy, tagged ordering and waiting area is completely sealed off from the kitchen area, which I’m going to just assume is clean as a whistle. Food takes quite a while to prepare, but it’s all being made to order from scratch. Burger has a nice big patty, with a radius significantly larger than that of the bun, with good spicing. Nice tangy mustard and fixings. But I was most wowed by the pastrami chili cheese fries. So bad for you, and so good tasting. Basically all take-out here. There’s nowhere to sit inside, and the flimsy countertop along the window flexes and creaks ominously when, for instance, the fat, drug-addicted painter leans against it and moans about how slow the food is in coming. Pretty good food. –1 star for décor & ambiance. +1 star for people-watching. Rated on a somewhat sliding scale in the category of ‘hood burgers’.

Okay folks. So here I am starving and excited for lunch from Master Burger. I look at my drink and see something floating. Open it up and BAM!!! Roach egg just floating in my drink kicking it. So can I just thank Master Burger on Slauson and Crenshaw for personally ruining lunch for me today and completely setting me off with this disgusting madness? Beware you guys and I suggest NEVER going to that Master burger unless you like roaches with your meal! This is a catastrophe and I went back up there and demanded my money back & went off. I will NEVER go back!

Stopped here for an early lunch. Not too many people here at 11:15AM. It’s just a burger stand inside. There’s no place to eat except a shelf along the wall that doesn’t feel like it’s gonna support much. I ordered the pastrami chili cheese fries. Paid the guy. Waited about 10 minutes. While waiting, i notice that have a large menu posted on the wall along w/lots of pictures of what your food will look like. There’s also no prices on things. Just a few of the specials have posted prices. How do i know how much something will cost if there are no prices posted? Anywho…the guy feeds my food through the bank type window. I take my bag and go. The thing weighed a ton! Found a shady spot down the road and opened up my bag to discovery a giant order of fries topped w/cheddar cheese, a little bit of chili and a boat load of pastrami. Each of those things themselves were good, but the combination of them together was awesome. I ate about 2⁄3 of the container and decided i’d had enough. I probably could’ve stuffed the other 1⁄3 into my belly… but i decided i’ll save it ’til dinner and enjoy it all over again. I’ll definitely stop by again if i’m in the area again.

Good burgers! Breakfast is nasty! Food was old and nasty! And it took them 30 minutes to make my breakfast and then they messed up on my order so that took a another 10 minutes. I wouldn’t eat breakfast there again!!!

Best burger by far and I’ve had a lot of burgers. It was even better than a $ 30 burger I ate in Chicago during a business meeting not too long ago. What makes it great? The patties are thick, juicy, flavorful and you can tell the meat is good quality. It’s definitely not in a great neighborhood but if you’re looking for some really good burgers this is definitely the place to go. If you don’t want to hang around sketchy people and prostitutes, call-in your order ahead of time and just pick it up(it does take some time as they cook the burgers as you order). Just a heads-up, their menu is very extensive and they have their popular items with prices written by hand but you can never go wrong with a Masterburger special/combo which includes a thick-pattied hamburger(cheese is optional), fries and a drink for about $ 5. I highly recommend this place to anyone claiming to be a burger aficionado or just someone who loves to eat.

I wanna be Eli G.review. #2 This is what’s known as a hood burger. Total sketchy scene, but a constant flow of cops driving by along with sketchers, sweaty people and wheelchairs. Thankfully, there was a security guard. Oh wait, he works @ Paramount, he’s just buying lunch. Menu has no prices. Window has no way to stick your hands or gun inside. I asked how big the double king was, «Two pounds.» Nice! I went with the single king cheese and chili. It took a while to get the burger, they were doing a pretty decent lunchtime business. When I got back to the car I pulled it out and was pretty please with the heft. When I ripped back that foil I saw a massive, thick slab of burnt meat. It was Hot off the grill. Tasted great. Lot’s of char, some juice and a good slop of chili cheese, mustard mayo, onion and lettuce. Bite after bite I was impressed($ 7.50) The chili was a little light, runny, hardly thick or greasy enough to block some arteries, but it kind of soaked into the burger making it moist and chili flavored, nice surprise. I would definitely go back for one of these. Maybe even go dubs up.

I love there burgers and there chili cheese fries are really good too! I use to go to the original Master Burgers on Western, but it’s really dangerous over there. So I decided to try this one on Slauson(not that it’s much safer. but anyway), they are just as good. The wait is just long if you don’t call ahead of time. The first picture you see of the burger for this place does not give there burgers any justice. Someone needs to delete that and put a new one.

They’ve got decent burgers and fries. Not quite as flavorful as Fred’s or JnJ. While there are a few other hood burger places with better burgers but this is the only one I’ve found that has both orange bang and horchata to drink. They don’t have a real strawberry lemonade. The building is a bit of a hell hole, so three stars.

Best burger in town so far… other then the fact that it isn’t in the best part of Los Angeles. For me this is: A tiny little burger joint behind a green door with a neon sign…(HIMYM2nd episode 4th season) If you can look pass the bums, tweakers, and killers on slauson then your in for a good old fashion homemade burger. They do take awhile to make your food, which could be a good things because it might be fresh and you really can’t see them making it, but suprisingly it has a grade A. Prices are pretty good too… Only problem is that they’re not consistent so they are times that it might not taste as good as you expect. I guess it could be a different cook that day, or not enough seasoning. You be the judge…

This master burger Is just blah to me, It seems every time Ive come here my meal sucked I think im just use to the original one, but their burgers are just thrown together in my book, not even the same amount of seasoning on the burgers like the original. I had this locations hot wings too… I was sadly disappointed. I have so many gripes but Ill stay humble. If I want master burger Ill stick to my original. Plus its too much going on over here just to get a burger… hell no! I don’t want a damn bootleg cd or dvd. im just just keepin it hood!

Master burger is good. Ive never been disappointed although the area isnt the best but the food is good. You have to try the hot wings or a wet burrito… bomb.com lol. However, I do not like the fact that they take forever. Ive once waited 40 minutes for hot wings smh but once I cracked open open that container… boy was I in heaven. Oh yea and the prices are reasonable.

Let’s be real, Slauson and Crenshaw is not exactly the west side so I can’t honestly recommend to my Caucasian or Asian friends to traverse over here and have a sit-down meal with the family. It’s more of p/u and go. I may not be a burger aficionado but Master Burger 2 makes a pretty damn good burger for a reasonable price. The burgers are made with seasoned ground beef and cooked over a flame. The fries are steak cut with season salt on them as well. If you can throw down one like me then I recommend the Double Master Burger. It’s freaking huge! The meat overlaps the buns on these tasty burgers. I swing by here three or four times a year and have never had a problem(actually everyone is real cool with me). MB2 shares the lot with a barber shop and smoke shop so you can imagine the traffic of characters moving about. Parking is available out front. Seating sucks. Long wait.
