Visited them at Grand Park during lunch truck event and sorry to say disappointed at quality and overpriced menu. I love trying and supporting these events but won’t be trying this one again. Had their KTM Slider for $ 10.over cooked and DRY.

This review is for the truck that was at N. Figueroa Street in DTLA yesterday. «Me So Hungry»: I guess if a food truck is called like that one shouldn’t order their Salmon & Rice Medley. Which I haplessly did. That dish was nothing but a medley of dryness. I just hope their burgers are not as dry(that’s what’s mostly in their menu: burgers). Back to the medley, it was of course expensive at $ 11. .. priced like most food trucks but terribly inferior in taste.

I ordered the Meso 1000. The bun was soggy from the sauce. The meat was undercooked. We’re talking medium rare. It’s a very unimpressive burger. 4⁄10 will not order again.

This food truck came to our office to celebrate our companies anniversary, they were very rude and disrespectful. I heard the man taking our order(thin Caucasian man with tattoos) cussing under his breath and giving everyone attitude and dirty looks. Ruined an event that was supposed to be a happy day for us. All employees felt disrespected, our office manager wish we had gone with a different meal choice after receiving very poor service. I do not recommend.

I wish I could say they were good, but this was one of the more disappointing meals I’ve had in my time. I’ll give them the benefit of an extra star for offering a vegetarian option aside from fries, but like so many carnivorous trucks and brick and mortars, the execution is almost an afterthought. The Portobello sliders were plain, lacked seasoning, structure and texture. It felt like they added some veggies to a mushroom cup and called it a slider. The garlic fries… here’s the deal… garlic fries need to be tossed in garlic and seasoning, not covered in it. The way they executed their garlic fries was pretty much plain fries with a lot of seasoning on top and nothing else. Aside from their execution errors, the service was slow. 30 minute wait. We don’t even get 30 minute wait in brick and mortars. For a truck, it should be 10 to 15 at the most. It’s a sad state when one can get food quicker at a restaurant than at a truck. Seriously, efficiency issues need to be addressed. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt as this could have been a bad day, but then again everyone has bad days. Not often am I left hungry after sliders, but this truck managed to do so.

I must of been the last one they served today at food truck haven. Wanted the pulled chicken sliders but they ran out. Ordered a burger special instead. Told them no cheese, but both the sliders and fries were polluted with cheese. Burger was overcooked, fries were cold because the cheese didn’t melt. Won’t order from them again.

Had the Hawaiian Sliders at the Food Cinema @ Exposition Park! Sooooooooo good, though I wish they would have had avocado to add to the burger. Isn’t avocado good on everything?! Nonetheless, 5-star for food truck food!

I had the cali sliders and it taste pretty good, but not exceptionally mind blowing or anything, and the meat was a little dry. The guy who took the order seems like he doesn’t give a crap that customer is waiting and too busy chitchatting with his cook. I was thinking of getting the monster burger but I saw the description says it has«Asian» sauce. I mean wtf is asian sauce? It just sound so genericly lame for a food truck from los angeles who claim to be westside«foodie» Nothing special, try it if it’s conveniently available close to you when you’re starving and too lazy to go further to grab some food

This would be 3 stars if the food had been ready in a reasonable amount of time and were less expensive. But during the time between us ordering our $ 11 portabello mushroom burgers and being served, we could have travelled to the central valley to find our own mushrooms. Indeed, about 6 peope who ordered after us were served before us. The food truck was not even very busy, but in preparing our sandwiches, they managed to take practically as long as it takes to watch the dodgers lose a playoff game. The portobello mushroom burgers themselves were fine, but not worth $ 11. They were under-seasoned and over-priced.

Pretty good sliders and fries. Nothing over the top though. One of my sliders was way too well done.

Good food and some unique menu items. Had two things from these guys, Cali Sliders and the PB&J burger. The Cali sliders were good, the sauce really hit the spot. But the show stopper was the PB&J burger. A massive burger loaded with peanut butter, jelly, sriracha and big thick slices of bacon. I hate when I get a bacon burger and they give you ‘Jack in the Box’ bacon(as I call it), so thin that it just disappears and wasn’t worth the upcharge. Not the case here folks! Long line to place orders, but they seemed to crank them out pretty quick once you got through the line. Will definitely visit again for the PB&J if nothing else.

Our complex had a food truck night for the residents so we got to try it out. My fiancée ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and it was delicious and juicy. I would’ve loved to see some low cal options for those of us who can’t eat all that carb heavy thick bread and a huge burger. But alas, there are no options for someone watching their waistline. That being said, I opted to share the burger with my fiancée so it wasn’t so bad. All in all, it was a yummy burger.

When I ate off this truck they may have been having a bad day. When the I arrived to the truck they stayed closed up, I think they were having lunch themselves. It would have been nice if when they popped their head out, they could have acknowledged people were waiting and said they will be opening soon. But instead they just closed up again and did not open for another 15 minutes. I had the PB&J Burger with string fries and a coke. The bill came to $ 17! I was expecting a meal that would blow my mind for that kind of scratch. I told the guy taking my order it was to-go. When another guy called my order it was not to-go. I told him it was to-go and he got mad at me, like it was my fault. «Hey man you need to tell us when it’s to-go.» I said I did, then the guy who took my order was in the back, whispering under his breat, «My bad». I thought they were going to have to re-do the order or something by the way this guy was upset, I almost started to feel bad. Then he takes my order, rips off a piece of foil and covers my food, that’s it! It took him all of 2 seconds. I start to eat my food. It sounded good. Man was I disappointed. The patty was well over cooked. It was charred on the outside and well done on the inside. The fries were mediocre at best. They had some sprinkles of cheese on top but I don’t believe they had any seasoning at all. They were definitely not worth the $ 5 they are charging for them. All in all, I would never eat there again. If the high prices don’t drive you away their rudeness should.

Me So Hungry was at Long Beach Comic Expo and I finally had the chance to try them out! A few items were initially unavailable, but while I was in line, they brought some more food to the truck and relished the items, thought that was pretty cool! i saw the KTM sliders, and I saw the fries, and thought…why not combine them?! i was actually surprised they did not have any fry-meat combos, but I asked if they could combine them and they did! so i had a custom bowl or plate of KTM Sliders on fries for just $ 13 the fries were crispy and tasty, nice seasoning, but they were a little greasy; not too much that the plate was stained with grease but just felt and rated a little greasier than normal the meat was delicious too, good flavor and tender, but wish it was«juicier» with like a sauce or the meat itself overall, not too bad and great price for a lot of food! i would definitely return

Agree w/other ppl ~ they will make u so hungry by serving slow. The lady forgot to give me my coke right after my order and when I asked for it she showed me the face… $ 13 for sliders and coke with this kind of service~ wow ~

This is my favorite food truck! I dream about the Flyin’ Hawaiian sliders. You must try them! They’re moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of awesome-ness. I get them every time. I could have free food waiting for me inside at work, and if this truck is outside, I will literally give my free food away just to be able to eat at this truck. Wow, I realize how crazy all of that sounded… but that totally happened. I love you, Me So Hungry!

つº oº つ RAISEYOURCUTLERY つº oº つ This truck’s been around for a while, and that’s something I like to see very much. It likely means either they have a loyal following, or they just make great food. Me So Hungry, unfortunately, is an exception. I don’t understand how they have managed to hang around for so long, because their food is at best mediocre. I decided to order the KTM sliders, which include marinated short rib, jack cheese, crispy onions, and spicy créme fraiche. The potential to kick ass seemed truly high! The sliders look great on the menu, as well as everything else for that matter. In fact, this is one of the best-looking menus I’ve seen on a food truck. Maybe that’s the big secret. I admittedly got pretty stoked while I waited for my food. However, the first bite erased all traces of stoke from my body. My very first impression was that there was just too much bread. The buns are so dense and thick that it felt awkward to eat. Usually burgers and their tiny-burger relatives suffer from bun-deficiency issues, but damn man. The next thing I noticed was that the sliders were really only lukewarm, not hot. I’m not saying they were undercooked, just that the ingredients weren’t kept warm, or that my order had been sitting for a little bit before I got it. In fact, I’m confident that these sliders in their short lifetime never got to experience what it feels like to be hot. Wanna know how I know? The cheese. It was so unmelted that it still kept its original square shape when the sliders came out. How are the flavors supposed to mingle when nothing was prepared hot? Its like showing up to a night club in a chicken suit, and it’s not Halloween. Isn’t it implied that if you’re going to serve a hot sandwich with cheese, that the cheese should be melted? It feels like a practical joke, like at any second one of the me so hungry staff was gonna pop out of the window and go «Gotcha! Just kidding, here’re the real sliders you ordered». But alas, that did not happen. The short rib and the sauces were nice though, despite not being at the temperature they deserve. I wasn’t hungry anymore, but I was disappointed. — The Gourmand League

One of my all time favorite trucks yet! First off, the dude was super friendly and helpful. I had already decided that I wanted to try a couple things and was fully prepared to pay for the full order of each item even if I only was going to try a bite or two(that’s how I roll). When I told him that, he said I could mix and match and that I could try any of the larger versions in a smaller slider version. I LOVEHIM! That alone will bring me back to this truck any time I see it!!! So, here’s what I did… I had one slider of the«PB&J Cheeseburger with Bacon and Sriracha Sauce» — HELLYES!!! Do NOT knock this until you’ve tried it. It was seriously one of the best things I’ve ever tried and I’d have it again and again! Sooooooooo delicious!!! Amazing!!! Second slider was the«Flyin Hawaiian» which was chicken, crispy Maui onions and chipotle aioli. It was really good! Juicy and loads of flavor(but seriously I was already in love with that PB&J one!). I also had a side of the sweet potato fries that were served with Spicy Crème Fraîche and they were cooked perfectly to perfection and a tasty match to the sliders I chose. Tons of garlic on top as well. I seriously could NOT stop talking about this truck for days! My mouth and my tummy were happy for hours too. Don’t be scared of the PB&J burger, I give you my word, it’s the bomb!!! CHEERS!!!
