Came here while visiting family at the hospital. They were open on Thanksgiving! C’mon, how awesome is that?! I called the order in(three different burritos), and the guy on the phone had suggestions on how he likes them. Done. They took awhile to cook, maybe 25min for a simple order. I’ll let ‘em slide since it’s a holiday, and it is a small, family place. Food was spectacular. Really, much better than I was expecting. Parents insisted I go back a few days later, and have been raving since. We usually go to Manuel’s, but this is now on our radar, especially or their chorizo burrito. I wasn’t so into the chicharron; too fatty, no crunch. I was surprised at the whole old time LA vibe to the place. They really played up times when LA was a pueblo. But still plenty of modern charms like an energy drink fridge. Looks like they mostly do to-go orders. Call ahead and pick up. The guy there also recommended I call and let them know when I’m at the hospital since they deliver there for free.

Had this while working today. It was not bad. I ordered the Ranchero. It is basically steak and eggs. The beans were pretty good, not to salty, bit not flavor packed. I thought the Spanish rice was really good as well. Eggs, to be honest, brown on the bottom. Not awesome. The Carne was so good. Full of flavor, real thin. It got them from a 2 to a 3. In a pinch, I would go again.

Pretty good birria. Green cilantro creamy salsa they give with chips is pretty good. Expect to wait a bit for your food.

From the Service to the food. THISPLACENEVERDISAPPOINTS! The food is authentic; with great flavor. The service is ALWAYS great! They’re friendly and attentive to their patrons, making sure you have all you need and that the food is to your liking. Wether you dine-in, pick-up for take out, or have it delivered… You will always have a pleasant experience. «Definitely our Go2place when we are craving some authentic Mexican food.» Ohhhhh’ and did I mention, their aguas naturales?!(NATURALWATERS-FRUITJUICES) OMG!!! they are to die for… Especially the pineapple!!! So, if you haven’t given them a try. Do yourselves a favor and stop by someday. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for it!!!

What a hidden gem in the heart of Boyle Heights. After being in the area at USC hospital I was not sure what I wanted to eat. So after asking the nurses where to eat I came across Mexicanos 3030 Mexican restaurant. After being hospitalized the nurses where nice enough to let me escape for an hour and get some real food. If you are in the area or live in the area this place is a must to eat. I ordered a chicken burrito that was so fresh that the food melts in your mouth. The food portions are very generous. Also I had the chicken hard shell tacos that where the best I had In a very longtime. I love the fact they deliver. So if are suck at the hospital and you hate to eat hospital food like me then you are a happy camper. This is a family run business. As I am a bigger supporter for local businesses. Thanks to the nurses for giving me for a break from the hospital. No questions I will be back here again. You can’t find a nicer staff to really cares for their customers. You have street parking or side street parking.

We parked on the street, since the meter was free on Sundays. Came here around 2 – 3. The place was empty. There are about 5 –6 tables inside the place. Very cozy with the decorations. We sat right in the middle. The table was dirty but the server was nice enough to clean it up for us. The server was very nice, since it was our first time here we didn’t know what to order. He was willing to let us sample the pozole since, my boyfriend could not decide the red or the green one. Both of the soup were delicious! I would pick the red one with pork but, my boyfriend like the green one with chicken more. I got the wet burrito, half red and half green sauce with pork. I thought it would be el pastor but turn out to be carnitas instead… The food was good. Really like their salsas. Their drinks are yummy too! Got the horchata and the melon. Yummy! Reasonable price what I order were under $ 10.

So I Was across the street at the hospital and had to get my mother in law a soup. The debit machine wasn’t working, so we had to walk 2 blocks down.(There is a liquor store next door but somehow it wasn’t working here either) … Any way very inconvenient. Only really walked it all for my mother in law being sick. Other wise I would’ve left in the count of the inconvenience.

I was there this past weekend for breakfast and the food was tasty, service was okay and the prices were reasonable, but within a few hours I fell sick with severely moderate food poisoning, My friend Mason also felt ill after eating there. not sure if we got a bad batch of tamales or what. I may or may not return here.

I was craving some tamales and had an hour to spare before I had to pick up my bf. So I decided to stay nearby his jobsite and explore this little hole-in the-wall. When I walked in I was completely surprised! Like, I literally smiled walking in. It was colorful, full of awesome little photo frames aligned randomly on the wall all of famous Mexican actresses/actors from all kinds of eras.(Some would say it has vintage-look to it). And few splashes of color. It definitely made me happy to walk in on something that represent my culture. I was greeted by two ladies, in Spanish. Which I loved! Very friendly. I let them know it was my first time and they were very welcoming. I ordered an horchata, two tamales(1 de raja con queso the other red/pork) and a torta de milanesa.(Before you judge me I gave a tamal and the other half of my torta to my bf lol) I was impressed with the quickness, service, and quality of my food. Will definitely recommend and go back! Thank you! Gracias!

Delicious spicy salsa(which they also sell in bottles to go), Aguas frescas and great food. First time here but I’ll definitely be back. It is very small so get there early. The service was very friendly even though our food took a little while to bring out. It was totally worth the wait and I can’t wait to bring more peeps here and school them to the goods. I came here because of Unilocal and was not disappointed.

Favorite go-to Mexican place!!! Awesome food! Servers are awesome too! Better call in your orders because it really takes some time to get your food ready. Best part of working at LAC+USC Medical Center!

So it’s hard for me to write a fair review because the food is hit or miss. I work nearby and have ordered from here at least a dozen times. I normally get chicken tacos and a side of guacamole/chips. The guacamole is always good but the chicken is always cooked differently. Oh the green sauce is really good though! If you happen to be in the area or at LAC+USC eat there, but dont go out of your way!

The burritos are really tasty. Make sure you eat your meal with the 30 – 30 sauce. I had them cater an event and everyone wanted to know where I had purchased the food. My favorites: breakfast burrito with egg and chorizo, red wet burrito, and asada burrito no rice.

Just might be the best Mexican food in the 90033 and with the abundance of Mexican food that’s sayin’ something, great little family run spot serving up Zacatecas style dishes. The food is average to EXCELLENT depending on what is ordered, my only WARNING would be when you come here Make Sure you have TIME… food is slow coming out of the Kitchen and service is not the greatest either, they tend to forget things especially when the place is busy! *A BIG plus, they don’t hassle you on making substitutions to the menu items! Ranchera($ 12.75) — *(I substituted a enchilada for the eggs) Enchilada — They offer enchiladas with different sauces, I chose the red sauce which had GREAT flavor! Carne Asada — Nicely grilled skirt steak, tender and delicious! Frijoles - I LOVE my beans and these were TWOTHUMBSUP! Sope($ 2.95) and Tacos($ 1.35)
Sope de Adobada — Sope tasted fresh, house made perhaps… topped with their delicious beans, and the adobada was nicely marinated and very flavorful topped with fresh veg, crema and jack cheese. Tacos de: Carne Asada — The carne was lean and tender with good flavor though I thought it could have been grilled a bit longer. Desebrada —(Shredded Beef) A little on the dry side, definitely needed help from their salsa! Carnitas — Good flavor on the softer side, not like your typical Michoacan style Carnitas. (3) Enchiladas de Pollo(8.75) I got these with the same red sauce as above enchilada I loved them that much it might not look like much but they are very filling I’ll try a different sauce next time 30 – 30? with an update… *NOW… I ASKED before ordering WHAT Zacatecas style Birria was? «I was told» it’s NOT like Birria from Guadalajara which is typically in jugo… Loving Birria I still wanted to try… Birria Estilo ZACATECAS($ 10.50)(Beef) If your from Northern Mexico this is more like Carne Desebrada… but this was on the dry side perhaps this is exactly how it’s supposed to be? I’ve never been to Zacatecas, but now I can say tried it don’t care for it. Tostada de Lomo($ 3.25) Simple yet it was The Best thing I had from 30−30… nice crispy corn tortilla with a good coating of beans GREAT tasting Lomo/Piggy topped with fresh Veg and cheese. I tried ALL their SALSA’s Roja, Verde y 30 – 30 each has a different level of spice with Roja being the hottest, but not real hot, then the Verde and followed by their 30 – 30 GREATFLAVORS!

We had spent pretty much an entire week at the LAC — USC Medical Center. THe last day there we decided to try Mexicanos 3030 thanks to the great Unilocal reviews. The restaurant is owned by a family, the daughter greeted us and took our order and the mother brought out our food. They are all very friendly. I ordered the tamale plate, the masa was a little dry but had great flavor. The melon water I ordered was also very tasty. The sweet tamales are delicious! I can definitely see myself going back just for the sweet tamales! I would honestly go back to this restaurant if ever in the area again, it was yummy with great service and a decent price.
