Excellent — try a smoothie and breakfast bagel. The bagels are made fresh so they melt in your mouth

I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich today and I was expecting a whatever sandwich but it was actually pretty good! It came with a side of orange slices as well as a veggie mashed potato. Their iced blended mocha is so freaking good! Way better than any other ice blended coffee I’ve ever tasted!

I love getting their bagels and coffee here because the bagels are amazing, but finally tried their sandwich and soup for lunch and I’ve been missing out, apparently! Ordered their half chicken salad sandwich, it was fresh and tasted homemade. Chicken soup was perfect, steaming hot and had chucks of chicken and veggies. This place has tasty food, friendly owners and is clean, what more can you ask for? Support small businesses!

A truly pleasant surprise! I was downtown for a work training today, and I needed a quick breakfast before things got going. I knew Starbucks would have a long line, and I didn’t have much time. I spotted MJE and ran in. The coffee was YUM, the jalapeño bagel was one of the BEST bagels I’ve ever had, and the price was right. They weren’t super fast, but it was worth the wait. So glad I stopped in!

Best bagels in town! You must try them toasted with cream cheese. They bake their own bread every day for lunch sandwiches, also amazing. Drip coffee available for cheap, and I LOVE the iced caramel latte. They fresh squeeze orange juice to order too! I seriously love this place.

I’m always looking for a cheap lunch in downtown, and this one is on my list This is a mom and pop spot and it is simply amazing. They’ve got a variety of bagels in the morning and sandwiches and soups for lunch; all at EXTREMELY reasonable prices. My personal favorites are the chicken wild rice soup and bulgogi sandwich. Their house bread is also very, very delicious. My usual is the chicken wild rice soup(which already comes with half of a piece of house bread) and an extra house bread. I’m out the door for $ 5 and some change. Warm bread to dip in a hot soup is a winning combination in my book, and the value at Mocha Java is unrivaled. The available seating inside makes lunch even more convenient.

I ordered a toasted pizza bagel with cream cheese. For all you cream cheese lovers, rejoice. You won’t have to awkwardly ask for more or pay extra(for everyone else I’m sorry but you should probably request it lighter). The bagel itself is pretty average(the pizza one is a bit greasy) and nothing special about the cream cheese however this simple breakfast can satisfy your bagel craving.

I used to come here everyday for breakfast since it’s a block away from where I work so it’s convenient to pick up something quick here. The lady who runs the place is very nice and attentive. I usually would get the house bread with cream cheese and jelly. One of my favorites from here. The bagels are awesome here too(with cream cheese and jelly for me, of course). I rarely get lunch here since their lunch menu is just ok. I used to get their pepperoni calzone, but they don’t offer that anymore, which sucks cuz it was delicious! I would highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The prices can’t be beat. How many other places can you get an awesome and filling breakfast for less than $ 5? Especially in downtown.

Hands down the PIZZABAGEL is the BOMB!!! As another Unilocaler mentioned, they are rather generous with the cream cheese, so I always say«light cream cheese» because warm goop isn’t all that great! But the pizza bagel is the best thing I’ve EVER had! OMG! I wish I knew where they got these from! Depending on where I park dictates whether or not I stop in or how often I stop in. I love the fact that their LARGE coffee is really LARGE(not that whack 16oz size). The owners are really nice and move quickly to get customers in and out of their tiny establishment. I hear the«house bread» they use on sandwiches is really good, but since I don’t care for sandwiches I’m not sure how I’ll ever get to try it! I’ve been working at my job for 2 ½ years and I’m kinda mad that I just barely started coming here a couple of months ago!

This is my breakfast stop 2 – 3 times a week, their bagels are to die for. They’re generous on the cream cheese which is nice, and the staff are very friendly.

I’ve been going to this place for almost 2 years, at least once a week for breakfast. They have a good selection of breakfast pastries and bagels, along with coffee and teas. I usually grab a poppy bagel with egg. They’re also very reasonably priced versus the Starbucks or Coffee Bean down the street. Also, they make a great calzone which is big enough for two people, if you’re around during lunch, they also have some pretty good soups and salads.
