I love this place!!! My niece takes classes here and is always impatiently waiting for Saturday art class. The teacher Ms. Iren is lovely. She’s wonderful with the kids and her love of art really comes through in her teachings. My niece has learned so much already. They are teaching her all the fundamentals of art and allowing her to grow as an artist. I would definitely recommend this art studio to any child or adult!

I started taking classes at Modest Fly a few months ago. I absolutely love it here. The environment is come and relaxing with soft music in the background. Eerena is one of the best art teachers. She has knowledge in many different areas. Here you can learn at your own pace without pressure. All the staff is super patient and kind (great with kids). Every week I look forward to my time here. I learn something new every time I go. My artwork is progressing with every session.
I highly recommend Modest Fly for all ages and skill levels.

Always love going to modest fly, I remember when I used to take there Art classes Iren was so patient with me never laughed at my horrendous paintings instead she would patiently teach me the correct way of blending colors and sketching correctly. I wouldn’t say I’m a pro now but I’m pretty damn good. But before modest fly I could barely draw stick figures. Thank you Iren and staff for the great learning experience b

I commissioned a piece from Eerren and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. She was always responsive and so sweet to work with, and very patient with me through a bumbling misunderstanding on my part. She made a really beautiful illustration for my best friend’s wedding and I am eternally grateful. All together wonderful from beginning to end. It’s scary reaching out blindly to artists online — you reach out in blind faith. I was not disappointed, and I would highly recommend her.

My artsy 12 year old girl LOVES the classes here. It’s her artistic-​home. I love the 1:1 attention that she gets and the relaxed atmosphere. I love that she is moving forward and improving as an artist, not just reviewing basics over and over. Many art classes have a set agenda no matter what the abilities of the student. This is a great option for any student!

Modest Fly Art Studio is a home away from home for me. As an employee I can say that being in that environment is truly a treat. The space is inspirational and positive. I happen to live up the street from this studio and decided to take stop in as I happen to be an artist myself and enjoy seeing other people’s work on display. The studio has a good vibe and Iren, the owner, was incredibly friendly. We exchanged information and she offered to display one of my pieces. I am going to take her up on that offer.

My daughter is 13 and knows she wants to pursue art as a career. I am so glad I found this studio for her. The energy is wonderful here. The owner is so sweet and so knowledgeable. The assignments are amazing. The kids are excited. That is all that is important. You need to look no further. This is the place to go.

My 7 years old has been taking Art classes at Modest Fly Art for a few months now. He absolutely loves the teacher — Ms. Iren is the kindest and most creative teacher he has had. My son always feels so excited and encouraged after every class. If I could give this studio 10 stars I would. Eeren teaches many different techniques however allows the kids to express and explore as they wish.

My daughter has been taking art lessons at Modest Fly for approximately 9 months. She started with the basics, just learning about colors. She has had an opportunity to use a variety of mediums and has discovered that oil is her favorite. We love the atmosphere and guidance that Iren provides for her students. It has been fun to watch my daughter’s skills grow, but more than that, her love and appreciation for art.

The Modest Fly Art Studio Gallery is an oasis! Iren has created a sparkling jewel, a beacon of light that deserves your attention. She provides generous encouragement of the creative spirit, is a wonderful artist herself, and a true pioneer to open such a lovely gallery in Tujunga. I have been privileged to participate in several group shows and events at the gallery, and have enjoyed becoming part of the expanding network of interesting, artistically minded folks that gather there. GO to an opening! See for yourself what good taste, ambition, and great energy can do for local culture!

We attended the Tierra Del Sol Foundation art show, which presented art by clients of the foundation.
Several of the artists were there to explain their artwork and to describe the processes they use.
We bought one absolutely charming bird ceramic piece and a pen and ink piece.
Check out this show which is at Modest Fly for the next 2 weeks. The art is intriguing and very reasonable.
