Nancy Sobel, Psy.D

I have not met anyone like Nancy. She is compassionate, she is attentive, she has great empathy, and love. She is also blunt, direct, and spares no small talk. No one has ever spoken to me as she does, so her demeanor took a minute to sit with. I came to her by recommendation of 3 unrelated people. The only similarity with each of them, was that I had told them what I needed. She was their only suggestion,
On the first visit I was struck by her ability to know what I needed. She started in what I thought, was another direction, and brought it all back home. I had some huge trauma, had lost several days, and she helped me find them. And a lot more.
I will always be grateful for what she helped me find that was buried so deep inside of me I did not even know I was missing it.

There is no better. She is not passive which fits my style perfectly. This will be open dialogue and she will challenge you. But she is so smart and so accepting of all lifestyles you will not get bias from her. I basically trust very few people and probably even less therapists/​psychologists because I think the bad ones can do so much damage. Nancy’s ideas, her mind, her heart I trust. Man I can’t say enough about her. She will not lead you astray.

Nancy has a passion for helping those in need and has helped me immensely with trauma memories from the earthquake in Port Au Prince, Haiti. She is very attentive, genuinely warm and caring, and although it is hard for me to normally trust psychologists and counselors, she put me right at ease. I would highly recommend her.

Nancy tells you want you need to hear rather than what you want to hear and she helps you find a way to do that for yourself. A caring good listener who probably won’t be shocked by anything. She understands because she has a broad depth of first hand experience. She genuinely cares and will go to amazing lengths to provide you with the support you need.
