Nora Gao Makeup and Design

I asked Nora to design my hairstyle and makeup for my wedding in Santa Barbara, where she has to get up early and drove far distance to. The service is very detailed and personal for my own style. All my friends make highly comment on my bride look that day.

Nora is exceptionally talented, and has an eye for bringing out the glamour and beauty in each individual. For my trial make up, she recommended that I bring a photo of myself with my own make up on, so that she can make me look like a more beautiful version of myself. In the past, whenever I’ve gotten my make up done elsewhere, I never really liked it because it just didn’t look like me. It was a version of what someone else thinks I should look like. Also, because I have single eyelids, most other make up artists didn’t know how to deal with that. With Nora I LOVED my make up and I can’t stop looking at myself in mirror.
She is a true professional, and knew exactly where to set up shop. She made me feel at ease on an otherwise hectic day, and gave me tips on how to keep my make up for the rest of the day. Ann uses high quality professional make up that lasts the entire day. I didn’t even have to do any touch up, she’s that good. I can’t thank Nora enough, for making my day. Well sanitary, her makeup kit are super organized and clean. (unlike some other makeup artist, can’t even tell the exactly color of their eye shadow!)

She use airbrush on me, with regular foundation! (don’t even know if that’s possible!?)
I looked FLAWLESS, yet not very hard to take off at night.
Even tho is regular foundation, but somehow she made it bullet (water) proof!
And the eye shadow! omg!!! she put champng-​ish brown to match my ivory color dress.
Her blending skills are very advance! (she even out my big, small eye! Lol)
I looked very natural, glowing, and PRETTY!
She is Very passionate about makeup.
I can tell she is well knowledge by just talking to her!
Definitely coming back to see her when I have events!

I went to her place for a bridal makeup test, and she did an amazing job. My fiancé told me that it was the best makeup I’ve ever had…(it’s the first time that he has a positive feedback toward my makeup).

Lucy is the best! She is always really nice and professional. She will choose the best product that fit your skin type and design great work customized to you. Talking to her is like talking to your bestie. She will give you personal advice and her user experience according to certain product. She has a good taste of make up style, always on trend!

Nora is such a talented artist and is super professional! I got my makeup done for a wedding, and am so glad I did! I she really listens to what you want, and works with your features… which a lot of artists dont. I will def be hiring her for my wedding.

Great artist very detail on her work. Nora gave me a birthday makeover it was fantastic and she also point out about me allergy issues with eye makeup which help me a lot at least now I don’t freak out about it anymore!
