Normandie Apartments

The manager has stolen my packages on multiple occasions, and when I politely asked him if he had received them for me, he nonchalantly said that if it was missing, that was my problem. They don’t maintain this building, the foundation is collapsing underneath, the stairs are significantly slanted. Notably, another huge issue are BED BUGS and COCKROACHES. This place has so many cockroaches, I’m on the fourth floor and I find dead ones that have crawled into my refrigerator, toilet, sinks, counters, closet, clothes, etc. I’m extremely OCD so my apartment is very clean, I do not leave food or dirty dishes out, but these little pests are everywhere year round. Also I have found bed bugs on three occasions, fortunately I was able to contain and eliminate them. The manager is very insensitive and rude when you talk to him about this, he doesn’t really keep anything maintained… Honestly I love the apartment unit itself, but the management really ruins this place. If he would actually do something about the pests, refrain from stealing from his tenants (I’m not the only one he has stolen packages from), and maybe do his JOB, this place would be alright. He cannot be trusted, I really wish he would leave, we need someone honest to run this place. I plan to move out ASAP.

At the time I resided at 167 S Normandie, the sup was Dwight and he was amazing. The studios have been remodeled very nicely however it did not cover up the fact that there were more negatives than there were Roaches. Even though they did exterminate on a regular basis, the roach problem never deceased. Sometimes I would find dead roaches in my refrigerator. I broke my lease early due to the bug issue.
If you are okay with living with roaches, this is the place for you.

Cool place and nice remodeling just done. I like! The units are also great with granite counter tops and real hardwood floors.
There is even a new back patio they just made to hang out and do some work from home…

DO NOT RENT HERE! They are dishonest. I cleaned the place to a shine before I left, they still charged me a cleaning fee and wouldn’t give a security deposit back. I called and called and was quickly ignored. I moved out of state so I couldn’t sue them but if I had stayed in LA I would have brought them to court. I was a model tenant and lied to over and over. Kimmy was the agent then and Dwight was the Sup. These people are not to be trusted. Plus there is a real cockroach problem. Other tenants were very nice though. You pay for what you get in LA.
