Great food! Got the #1 and it’s amazing! Be careful on the spice level, the mild is like a medium.

The best Thai and Asian restaurant I’ve ever tried in US since I went from Vietnam. Reminds me a lot about Bangkok, where I traveled many times before. I tried the Tom Yum Noodle, really really delicious, exactly Thai taste I had in Bangkok. And not only that, it has surprisingly good price as well. Recommend to many of my friends, and they all love this restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in Thai Town. Their noodles are delicious-flavorful and perfectly cooked. The menu is simple, prices are low, and the ambiance is laid back and calming. Everyone who works here is very friendly and attentive, and the food always comes out very quickly. Their Pad See Ew with tofu is my favorite Pad See Ew ever. The noodles aren’t too greasy and they don’t skimp on the Chinese broccoli. The tofu is the real star-unlike any other fried tofu I’ve had at Thai restaurants. Theirs is slightly crispy on the outside and chewy, almost spongy, so it soaks up the flavor of the delicious dark soy sauce. $ 7.50 for a huge plate of this heavenly combination. Visa and MasterCard only! I love you Pad Ord.

My girl’s fav thai restaurant We are here atleast once a week. I was going to give it a 5 star rating because everything here I’ve had so far is pretty good but she insisted on four because they raised their prices on everything… Hahaha So today we ordered roast duck and crispy pork with chinese broccoli — the roast duck is my fav dish here… very soft and juicy and the flavor is just right. First time trying the crispy pork… got mild and wow still very spicy to me. The flavor was good but the pork was a bit too hard for me… there were a few pieces that was soft and then the rest of intensely hard to chew but we still ate all of it: P Other dishes that we’ve tried that are good: boat noodles, pad see ew, and thai fruit jelly dessert(must try unless you’re lactose) We usually switch between these. I’ll post more pics next time we try :) Only con is the parking lot is tiny so sometimes it’s hard to find parking FYI

Used to come here for their boat noodle soups, and those were delicious. Now, after having their pan fried noodle dishes of Drunken Noodles and Pad See Ew, the food was just mediocre. The drunken noodles could use more seasoning and a bit more spice, especially when we ordered it at Medium spice level. There was just no «wok hei,» the wok essence achieved from stir frying food at a high enough temperature. The American equivalent would be the charbroil flavor from grilling foods over Service was good. Sure miss the Pa Ord that was in the mini mall by Thai Town on Hollywood. The food there was so much better.

TOPFAVORITEINTHAITOWN! You get so much food for a crazy good deal. But it’s not just the prices. The flavors are amazing! The first time I went, I luckily had four other friends accompanying me so I could order everything my heart desired. Boat Noodles– weirdly delicious. Tom Yum Noodle– everyone loved this one. Pad Thai– Super tasty! Interestingly, we ordered with chicken and it came with chicken AND tofu. Hm. Pad See Ew– Boys loved it, not my favorite. Drunken Noodles– Yum! Perfect Spice! Crispy Pork with Broccoli– Get the individual w/o rice because it’s a larger portion. Everyone loved this, too. Must go again. Will go again. See you there.

Try the spicy seafood soup and set the dial to «medium» spice, which was tantalizingly close to the outer limits of my tolerance. The broth isn’t just about heat, though, as it features great lime and lemongrass influences. The shrimp and fish cakes within are well done. I could have spent an hour deliberating over this menu. Even if you don’t get the spicy seafood soup, please don’t get something like pad Thai that you can find anywhere.

A lot of people seem to like this place. Perhaps we did not order the right dishes or I just don’t like American Thai food. I say that because the Thai food in Bangkok was excellent almost everywhere but here there are just a lot of the same stuff Thai. I did like the old Ganda in Thai town which turned into Pa Ord but was shut down and never reopen again. :(

Yummy! Pa Ord Noodle converted me… I’ve grown up in California only eating mediocre Americanized Thai food where it’s either you order pad thai or sweet coconut curry. Pa Ord Noodle has so much more authentic«street» Thai food that I enjoy! F O O D *Fair warning — I get everything in «medium» spicy; it’s pretty darn spicy* — Boat Noodles with flat rice noodle @ $ 6.50 for large(5⁄5 stars): Yum! Lots of intestines in here — directly translated, it is «pork blood soup». It contains your choice of beef or pork meat, liver, and other intestines. You can also choose the type of noodle — I always get the flat rice noodle which is good. I get it in «medium» spicy, which is actually veryyy spicy! I can’t handle their«spicy» which imo is only good for the best of the best spicy eaters… — Drunken Noodles(4⁄5 stars): Pretty tasty! I do wish they put more veggies in there — it’s strangely inconsistent for the past few times I’ve ordered this dish. The first time, I had some Chinese broccoli with the noodles. Second time, there was a bunch of mushrooms. Third time, there was nothing but small pieces of green beans. Other than that, the flavor is good and spicy! — Tom Yum Noodle(2⁄5 stars): This was the reason why I gave Pa Ord Noodle 4 rather than 5 stars. It TASTES good, but the one time I did order it I felt super nauseous and sick and ended up vomiting it out in the restroom. I get these symptoms when there’s too much MSG… PARKING Free parking lot shared with a bunch of other stores in a small strip mall. PRICE So cheap! This has got to be one of the cheapest meals you can find in LA; one large bowl of soup comes out to $ 6.50? Steal! And yes, they do take credit card with minimum purchase of $ 20. AMBIANCE Casual, mom n pop shop. Definitely not fancy at all, but has great food and that’s all that matters. OVERALL I’ll be back for the boat noodles :) Love the soup flavor and all the yummy intestines!

The tom yum noodle soup is to die for! Medium is spicier than any other restaurant’s medium, but definitely worth it to try the punch to your nostrils. There is a lot of meat in this dish. Worth the price! Their boat noodle soup is just as good, if not better, than Hoy Ka’s, which makes sense since their previous owner was the woman who opened Pa Ord. Their drunken noodle, even at a mild spicy level, is very spicy and will open your nasal passages. If you are not used to Thai spicy, then stick to mild or, if you’re feeling adventurous, medium. Do not venture into the land of Thai spicy if you are not prepared. Your stomach will not like you. This place is great for noodles — pad thai, pad see ew, duck noodle soup, tom yum noodle soup, and so on. It’s my go-to place when I’m not feeling well but am still craving Thai food. They charge $ 15 minimum for credit cards and no more than 1 card. There is an ATM inside if you need to withdraw cash. Service was good. Wait was minimal since we went in around 6 on a Sunday. There was a line forming around 7PM. The only downside is the parking situation. It is a very small lot. However, it’s not enough to lose a star. The food is that great!

We were going to try a thai place on Hollywood Blvd but there was some kind of event going on and the blocked the road so we ended up at this place instead. They have a small lot but we found street parking nearby. We were seated right away and we ordered: Larb: 5⁄5 ground chicken soaked in lime and spices served with cabbage. One of the best I have tasted. Crunchy pork with rice: 3⁄5 fatty fried pork rind was crunchy and tough to chew. Tasted pretty unhealthy lol. Pad thai: 4⁄5 pretty solid! Not sweet like other places. Pad see ew: 3⁄5 meat was super tough but noodle and flavor was good. Rad na: 4⁄5 never been a big fan or this dish but they made it pretty good here. Suave too heavy. Tom yom #1: 2⁄5 my least favorite dish. It had this weird sweet sauce. Not what I was expecting at all. Thai tea: 4⁄5 hit the spot Service was fast. Portions were a little smaller than what I am used to but overall good flavor.

I always come here with friends for good late night food at cheap prices. I’m glad they changed their payment policy as well because before it used to be cash only, now it’s a minimum of $ 15 for credit cards. It makes things a lot easier. The food is delicious too. Last time we came here we ordered the chicken Pad See Yew noodle dish and the Duck with Rice. The noodles were a bit greasy but when you’re a bit intoxicated late at night, it does the job of filling you up. The dish still had great flavor though and the noodles were cooked right. The duck with rice is one of my favorite things to order here. The duck has so much flavor and the garlic rice is perfect. The only gripe I have about this dish is that it needs more duck. I always end up with more rice than duck sometimes. Other dishes that are worth noting are the Tom Yum Noodle soup(big portions and big flavor), Boat Noodle Soup(the broth is delicious and the meat is flavorful), and the Tom Kha Kung(Seafood coconut soup). Also order their Thai Iced Tea or their Iced Coffee. There’s a private lot that generally gets filled up quickly especially on the weekends. I never had a problem finding parking during the weekday though. Service is good, the waiters were very accommodating and friendly.

This is a Thai noodle place that I’ve heard about and seen at difference locations around town. I finally was able to eat here one night. It’s tucked in a mini mall that has very limited parking. It was tough finding parking on the street too so I had to park at a bigger parking lot at the 99 cent Store just up the street and hope I didn’t get towed :( It’s not very fancy inside at all and is kind of a divey sort of place. They have two dining areas and I found my way towards the back dining area and popped a squat at a table. The menu had a lot of items on it but I wanted to try one of the noodle soups since that’s what they known for but I also wanted to try another plate. I settled on the small bowl of Tom Yum noodle soup and a Crispy Pork rice plate. I really, really loved the flavor of the Tom Yum noodle soup. It had ground pork, chasu pork, fish cakes, bean sprouts and a few other herbs similar to basil or cilantro thrown in. The broth was so flavorful, I really like this soup. The only thing is they don’t give you enough noodles to enjoy the broth with. Well, it was a small bowl so maybe that’s why. The Crispy Pork plate on the other hand was kind of a let down. The crispy pork which was I think pork belly was so overcooked and there was hardly any meet on it at all. It was more like burnt pork skin. They give you so little of the pork but do give you a huge side of rice that it’s almost all that fills you up. You actually run out of pork and have lots of rice left over. I think this dish is a rip off considering they charge $ 9 for it. This is way overpriced and is not good at all. I’d say this plate should be priced more like $ 5 for what you get. I would not recommend ordering this plate because you’d be in for a huge disappointment like I was. The wait staff was friendly enough and attentive with my water and such. I’d definitely come back again for the soup but not the Crispy Pork. I’d rather go to elsewhere for that although, they all seem to be about the same in these parts. Maybe it’s the way they do it in Thailand but it’s not my cup of tea. I want crispy pork with a lot of meat on it, not just burned skin. Well, you live and learn.

THISISWHAT I HAVEBEENMISSING! I’m from the valley and they recently opened one in the valley. It does not compare at all to this place. This standard is what all of Pa Ord’s establishment should strive to become. Parking is a bit hard to find and I had to do street parking for 1 dollar/hour. I didn’t have to wait and was seated relatively fast for 2 people on a Tuesday night. Seated next to us were a European couple who were starting to cry from the spiciness of their meal. I looked over and they were eating drunken noodles(pad kee mao), one of my favorites. The girl accidentally chewed on a pepper and she started to cry and turn red, whilst the guy started to burst out into laugh. It took a lot of effort for me to not laugh at them. I am reminded again that this place is the place to be for authentic Thai noodles. I reminisced about what this place use to be in the old Pa Ord establishment. I ordered the Thai Coffee aka O-lieng and my friend ordered the Thai Ice tea. Both were good as they should be. Then our meals came out and just the aroma of my beef drunken noodles were enough to tell me that this was it. This is my new favorite Thai food joint. The seafood pad thai was plentiful and it was delicious. The drunken noodle was delicious and I can’t wait to try out their other menu items. My only complaint is that this place has a much more limited menu than other places. I wanted Rad Na yentafo but they don’t have it, they have it separately as Rad Na and Yentafo but not Rad Na Yentafo. ‘Twas a shame but it ’twas no matter of importance. Their essentials menu items are stars in my book already.

Every time I come here, I tell myself I should try something I haven’t order. I look at the menu and pick something. The server comes, and somehow I always say«#5!» Well, this happens at least 95% of the time I come here. I love #5, Pork Spare Rib Tom Yum Noodle that much!!! It’s so good! I’ve forced myself to order other dishes a couple of times and tried Boat Noodle, Yen Ta Fo, Rad Na, and Pad Se-Ew, and t. they were all pretty good, especially Boat Noodle! I still love their tom yum noodle most though… Noodles are so cheap too. Large noodle is $ 6.5! Just be careful with spiciness you request. This is Thai restaurant. Their mild is like medium, and medium will make some people sweat like they just ran 3 miles! If you are not sure, get non-spicy or mild and add spices/sauce on your own at the table.

FOOD — Grilled Pork Salad: grilled pork, red onions, and green onions over lettuce and a side of cabbage. The pork was tender, a little fatty. Slightly bland. 3⁄5 — Pork Basil: ground pork, basil, green beans, red bell peppers, and chillies. Flavorful and spicy. 5⁄5 — Fried Pork: fried pork with Chinese broccoli. The pork was crunchy and slightly overcooked. Good flavor though. 3.5÷5 — Sukiyaki: clear noodle soup with BBQ pork, ground pork, and fish cake. The broth had great flavor. 4.5÷5 — Papaya Salad: shredded papaya and carrots over lettuce and cabbage. Good. 4⁄5 — Coconut Palm Juice: refreshing and slightly sweet. 4⁄5 SERVICE Fast and friendly. Our waitress checked on us a couple of times throughout our meal. 4⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS I’m definitely coming back. There are tons of items on the menu I would like to try.

After a trip to nearby Griffith Observatory, I recently visited this Thai Town restaurant late in the day and expected it to be dead at 9:30pm on a Sunday. Not so! The place was packed except for maybe 2 tables, and filled with Asian people — always a good sign of an authentic place. The very no-frills dining room had banners and signs written in Thai, and fresh baked goods in bags with labels in Thai. The menu was short for a Thai restaurant menu(why are Thai menus always a mile long?) and mainly focused on noodle dishes, with some rice dishes where you had meat plus steamed rice on the side. I definitely felt like the portions were smaller than what I’m used to at Thai restaurants, especially the amount of noodles in my dish, but the prices were lower by about $ 2 or $ 3 so it was worth it. $ 8.50 for a steaming bowl of duck noodle soup that had a lot of duck in it and was super salty and flavorful. What’s nice is I got my choice of noodles(skinny rice noodles, skinny long egg noodles or flat wide rice noodles). It’s open until 12am 7 days a week, which is a big win for Thai lovers like myself! The neighborhood is a little sketch, so I wouldn’t come here alone at night… but it’s great to know that we don’t have to end up at Norm’s if we want a late night bite.

PREFACE– When I consider ratings I take into account ambiance, price, service, and food. That said, I hardly give small, mom and pop shops 5 stars because they rarely win me over. But here goes… FOOD– Pa Ord wins at food. It’s authentic, simple Thai food in Thai Town. My Thai Boat Noodles alone(order #2) won my heart. Meat options for this dish include pork or beef. I opted for pork and while it was good, some pieces were too chewy. Overall, the broth is not too salty and the liver was cooked to perfection. Their dishes definitely skew towards the spicier side so mild spiciness was perfect for me(and I love spicy). Only major tip is to order a large because their small is actually too small(size matters). DRINKS– What looks like ice water is actually ice barley tea unsweetened. An unexpected but sort of pleasant surprise and felt cleansing. My friend ordered the Thai tea and it was sweet as expected, but she was pleased. PRICE– Affordable. Small costs around $ 5. Add on a few $ for a large. Not cash only, but credit transactions must exceed $ 15, so kind of cash only. PARKING– I’ll admit, this part sucks. Parking lot is ridiculously small and impossible to find parking at a reasonable hour. We ate earlier than typical dinner hour(think 5:30 pm ish) and had trouble finding street parking but eventually got lucky. I don’t even know what parking during a typical dinner hour would look like. Ergo, in summation, in conclusion… Thai Boat Noodles. Mild spicy.

My friend and I got the two specialties, Tom Yum noodle soup and Boat noodles, and also shared the pad see ew. Based on other Unilocalers’ reviews and my experience, I do not think one should come here for entrée dishes, but should only come for the noodle soups. The pad see ew was the worst I’ve had and the beef tasted so dry that I found myself picking around it. The boat noodles, on the other hand, were good. It’s nice that they offer different noodle options as well as sizes. If you are getting just the noodles, I think a larger size would be better but if you are sharing other dishes, a small is plenty. I got the mild spicy because other Unilocalers’ reviews scared me but I can definitely go for the medium next time… I enjoy spicy a lot and the mild had no spice to it that I could taste. The spices and peppers that are on every table, however, really help enhance the flavor and bring the spiciness to the dish, so you could choose to get no spice and just manually add it yourself. The Tom Yum soup was actually the winner. It was really good, and I wish I got that instead. If I come back, it’ll be just that and thai tea for me.

Super authentic Thai food! I had a hard time finding this place because it is literally located in the corner of a strip mall, and parking was a disaster, but I have to say that the food was worth it! I ordered the drunken noodles with medium spice, and the other reviews are NOT lying about how spicy these dishes are. It was right at the borderline of «This is really good,» and«My mouth is literally on fire.» Nevertheless, I still really enjoyed my noodles. They had the perfect balance of flavors, and they were also nice and oily(because noodles that stick together are gross). I thought my portion was a little smaller than most noodle dishes I’ve ordered at Thai places, but I’ll take quality over quantity any day! I don’t know if I’ll come back again, just because there are so many great Thai places I want to try, but this place was really great and I definitely recommend.
