This place is incredible. Not only are the pupusas the best in Los Angeles, but the carne asada tacos are excellent. Also grabbed a delicious piece of banana bread to enjoy in the morning. Super delicious. The owners are incredibly nice and took great care of me on my lunch break. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Definitely worth visiting again and again.

Good food. I enjoyed the tacos as long as you don’t mind the atmosphere, its a little undeveloped around the exterior and interior also the area is a little run-down, but inside nothing is terrible, just what you would think. We got the tacos the carne asada was my favorite didn’t like the chicken as much. I would say go with the carne or steak :). Nice little hole in the wall place if you want a quick cheaper bite to eat!

A wonderful find! Right off of the Expo line so I can stop in on my way to work. The desayuno Chapín(Guatemalan typical breakfast) was good as ever, and they give extra plantains(extra plantains!!!). We also tried the papaya/banana liquados(milk smoothies), which were perfect. The best thing about the place was the hand-made corn tortillas. Soft and fluffy, just like they should be.

Stumbled into this place on a walk to the grocery store. It was breakfast time and the smell of fresh baked rolls wrapped itself around me like a feathered serpent and reeled me on in. It’s right on Western near Jefferson, so yeah, it’s a little sketchy but not so much on a sunday morning. The place is cozy & colorful about 3 tables nestled in front of a glass case holding fresh sugary goodies, cakes, & jewel-like fruit tarts. They specialize in Guatamalan and Salvadoran breakfast food. No meal I saw was over $ 7. I tried their Guatamalan chicken tamales, these are silkier than the mexican kind and wrapped in banana leaf not corn husks. They’re also served with french rolls. Yum! I totally recommend their Empanadas de Leche or Custard turnovers, These things are the real dealfreakingamazing for 75 cents! OH-EM-GEE I haven’t had anything so good as when I visited the mother country.
