Dr. Parminter is a fabulous dentist. I’ve always been a bit nervous about dental work and I had delayed going for a couple of years. But when I met Dr. Parminter, he instantly put me at ease. He was kind and gentle, explained everything every step of the way, and told me what needed to be done immediately and what could wait. He has golden qualifications, with an expert level of prosthodontist and taught dentistry at USC for many years. His office is beautiful and his staff friendly and helpful. Call Dr. Parminter for all your dental needs — you’ll be so glad you did!

When I first saw Dr. Parminter, he gave me a copy of his Dental Philosophy. How many dentists have bothered to think about and write out a philosophy of their profession? He’s very thoughtful and his work is meticulous. He also teaches dentistry, which is good news for the future of the profession. My regular office visit/​cleanings are 100.00, and well worth it. A good part of the pleasure of dealing with his office comes from the staff. Rosetta manages the office and is endlessly fascinating to talk with. (I think Dr. Parminter exercises extreme patience working around out conversations.) Katie, the hygienist, is charming and professional, and I have learned a lot about dental care from her. Really, everyone you come into contact with makes your experience as pleasant as going to the dentist can be. A couple downsides: The office is only open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so plan well in advance to get an appointment when you want it. And because everyone takes the time necessary to do the job right, you may find yourself with a bit of a wait. I’d rather have that than have someone rush through my own appointment, so I build it into my schedule. And the building has an uneven HVAC system: The office can be cold (they have space-​heaters), or overheated. I carry layers with me to be prepared.
