Peach Tree Pottery is a wonderful location. Owner and teacher Jen is really creative, helpful and especially patient. I’ve taken a group class at this location and love the energy of the place. In addition to classes, there is a gallery attached with lots of inspiring art. I would totally recommend classes and events at this studio/gallery.

This place really makes me sad because it has the potential to be wonderful! Jen is very sweet but is SO bad with her phone. My husband tried for weeks to set up a class for my birthday, and finally got hold of her the day before. The classes are great for a date night, but even though she says they will be 2 hours long, ours lasted for 25 minutes. Again, Jen is really sweet, but not a wonderful teacher, so you’re left just figuring out a lot on your own. She shattered my first bowl, and it was a pain rescheduling for a new time. Once I got my second bowl back, it had shrunk up so much that it didn’t even look like what I had made. My husbands pottery didn’t shrink at all. Just a weird experience overall, but this place could be really cool if it was managed better.

Today I went in and had a lesson with Jen. She did a fabulous job guiding me on my first pieces. She was super patient and made me feel comfortable as it was my first time and I was a complete noob. I highly recommend this place if you’re trying to decide where to go to learn pottery

Carolynn, Jen and another wonderful woman w/Michigan roots are beautiful souls. I contacted them by email this morning extremely distraught as our pup isn’t doing well and wanted to get her paws cast in clay while she’s with us. I received a call from Carolynn while she was at brunch and made an appointment for the afternoon. When we got to Peach Tree Pottery, we were met with kindness and compassion. We made a perfect imperfect cast of Yogi’s paws and feel we have a keepsake of our little fury family member. Carolynn sent a kind text with a wonderful quote from Henry Beeson. I wasn’t sure how silly or insane my tearful request would sound or be, but was only met with loving compassion. This is truly an oasis and hope many come to their pottery studio as they deserve great success. Much thanks and gratitude! _/|\_ J, T & Y

I took my first class with Jenn, not knowing what to expect. I had never done pottery on a wheel before, and I thought I was going to suck at it, but I TOTALLY surprised myself. Not nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. Jenn walked me through each step and was very patient with me, at the same time letting me do it myself. I made a soup bowl and a mug, both of which I now use in my kitchen. I signed up for 4 more classes, and got a few gift certificates for Christmas presents. All in all, a must do!

Great Time! This was so much messy fun! The gals here were so sweet! This was such a wonderful date, and we enjoy reminiscing as we admire our handy work. The type of session we did included learning how to throw two small pieces. Then the gals fired the pieces and added whichever glaze we chose… And they did this very quickly… About two weeks time. As the student you help to clean the tools. It’s very quick and easy. Very fun! I would highly recommend this studio.

Had 2 classes with Jen so far. She is amazing teacher & person. I did pottery 20 years ago & wanted to get back into it. Jen is the perfect person to do it with. High recommend everyone to go try pottery if you haven’t done so & Peach Tree is the place to do it.

I can’t give this studio six stars?! That doesn’t seem right. Jen is an absolutely amazing person and incredibly talented teacher! I had never even touched clay before going to Peach Tree Pottery for my first lesson, but friends had always told me that I should try it out — so I finally bit the bullet. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The studio is in a great location, offers a very cozy atmosphere, and everyone at the studio is down to earth and willing to help. My lesson was with Jen. She gave me great insight on how to work with the clay, gave detailed(yet simple) instructions, and made me feel like I knew what I was doing. Jen let me take control and only assisted when it was needed. One thing that I’d always been afraid of was walking into a studio for the first time only to have the teacher throw my first piece for me… That’s not the case here. After my session, I felt accomplished in having done everything on my own, while Jen watched and carefully tutored me on my approach and handling of the clay. She gave great tips on how to form the clay in order to create the shape that I was after, was encouraging the entire time, and even complimented me on my first time throwing. At the end of my session, I didn’t want to leave! Eventually, I was able to see my finished work and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Watching the process of turning a ball of colorless clay into a beautiful bowl/mug/vase/etc. is a thrilling experience that you will definitely want to share with Peach Tree Pottery. Aside from the studio itself, the other folks that come in are great! Everyone has wonderful personalities, are all easy to talk to, and quickly became friends. You can tell that there is a really wonderful and loving community within Peach Tree Pottery that I would encourage anyone to become a part of. I’ll be back, and I hope to see you there!

I came here today with my Mom as a Mothers day activity and I have to say it was one of the best experiences. Jen was our teacher and she was AMAZEBALLS! Super sweet, outgoing, PATIENT, encouraging, and had fabulous taste in music. Not to mention very talented. I loved all the pieces she had displayed in the studio. I have to say I am now a pottery addict after this experience and I highly recommend this charming studio over. The place really wasn’t that hard to find and it is a beautiful neighborhood if you walk around after as we did. I look forward to going back to pick up our finished products. Postscript: Not really related. but I am stoked that the review below me is also named Kara… with a K. :)

I have some experience throwing pottery, and I used to love doing it in high school… but it’s been over ten years since then! So I wanted to go to a studio where I could remember how to do it without being judged. :) I took a semi-private lesson at Peach Tree Pottery, and I had Jen as an instructor. It was such a great re-introduction to throwing pottery! Jen was super calm and nice. She helped me figure out/remember what I was doing without making me feel silly or talking down to me. There were a few other people there — one other student and two other regulars. Everyone was super friendly and encouraging. There were two rooms, and one was full of pottery that studio regulars had made. It was beautiful and really inspiring! I loved the music and the laid back atmosphere. I definitely want to go back!
