Really bad customer service. The old lady at the cash register is really HORRIBLE. I had a burrito of al pastor and it didn’t taste nothing like it. The meat was bad. The parking is bad. Definitely not coming back again!!!

This place has pretty good vegetarian burritos for the price– it’s nice and simple and actually good! Only $ 5 too. Great for the price. In terms of the options you are given with salsa– it’s super lame. There’s only one kind and you’re only given one and you have to pay for any other mediocre salsa on the side. The guacamole in the burrito is good but it’s not as good as the one in Chipotle. Service is okay– it could certainly use some work.

They’ve got delicious tacos and coctels. The seafood is very fresh, and all the meat is very flavorful. Plus it’s pretty cheap.

Heck yes! Another good Mexican spot for the books. I am really picky when it comes to Mexican food(because I’m Mexican and know what it’s supposed to taste like) and this place is pretty solid. We got the Al Pastor Burrito and their Carne Asada fries. The meat was really good but I personally wasn’t a fan of the fries. My friend got the tacos. They were delicious, but so small! I think I’d stick to a burrito if I want my money’s worth. Amazing food! It’s such a small place and you wouldn’t expect much but wow! Awesome hole-in-the-wall for authentic, delicious Mexican food.

We’ll service wasn’t that welcoming, chicken was dry. Not a place I enjoyed to eat at all overall. Maybe on a hot day I’d go in for water or a good Horchata(hopefully)

I have not written a review in a while, but this is such a great taco spot! The carne asada is some of the best I’ve had in LA. Really reasonable price too

Gluttonous, cheap and delicious. Residing on the corner of Centinela and Culver, a busy intersection across from Five-O, it blends in and is easy to miss. Crappy parking, but worth the effort. Another hidden LA gem. I’ve eaten here so many times that I’ve lost count. Tortas, tacos, chile relleno, everything is delicious. They even have some of the weird meats(like buche, mmmm), if your into that, which I most definitely am! Asada fries: exactly like it sounds, fries topped with carne asada, sour cream, guacamole, jalopenos, just don’t ask for the calorie sheet! Pepe’s burrito: should be called the Clogged Artery. So much meat, giant burrito, can’t … possibly … finish … Even the simple carnitas taco is delicious and one of my fav’s here. Giant menu, custom orders accepted. Staff is always friendly. Not much seating, so you probably want to do a pick-up during peak hours. I highly recommend stopping by.

This restaurant has a nice thematic atmosphere to shelter you from the bustle of busy Centinela Blvd., complete with a fish tank and giant scuba/mariachi mannequin. There is also always a woman pressing the hand-made tortillas at one end of the dining room. All the décor leaves little space for tables, which gives the impression that this restaurant is more focused on the customer’s experience than maximizing sales. The portions are hearty, and all come accompanied by your typical chips and salsa. The salsa is tasty, but lacks spiciness. I like the enchiladas and — of course — the tacos. The staff is attentive but not all have a strong grasp of English, so brush up on your Español if you’re a picky eater. I brought a visiting friend from Indonesia here and the double language barrier was almost comical. Prices are where you’d expect for a nice sit down Mexican restaurant, so plan on throwing down $ 20 per person, more if you enjoy a nice cerveza or Margarita with your meal.

Really great hole-in-the-wall for authentic, delicious Mexican food. My friend and I were in the area for vacation and were craving tacos, but wanted to have them in a sit-down restaurant. Pepe’s delivered on all counts — they even had combo meals set up! We both opted for the 4 tacos and a drink. — tripas was perfectly crispy! — carnitas was a juicy delight — carne asada I didn’t try but she seemed to like it. Only couple of downsides: parking lot is shared with a liquor store and a donut shop so there isn’t a whole lot of available spots. Also, a refill of soda is $ 1. I still would be back if I was in the area though!

Was in the area looking for something quick to pick up and there are plenty of options around but I’m glad I stopped here! THEFOOD: I looked at the menu before I came and knew I wanted one of the taco combo plates. I ordered the 4 tacos with carnitas and everything on it and a drink. I took it to go and quickly ate two of them. The meat was flavorful and topped with onions, cilantro, and salsa which was perfect. It wasn’t spicy but added flavor and a little heat. I later found chips and salsa in my bag which was a nice treat and ate the two other tacos I had later. They’re decent sized tacos and I was really surprised I only ate two at a time and that it was enough to satisfy me. Plus it’s reasonably priced. THEPEOPLE: I read a review about how the people were rude but he must have come on an off day. The people behind the counter were nothing but kind to me. There was a nice man who took my order and a sweet lady who gave it to me. I’d come back and support these guys anytime! THELOCATION: It’s on the corner of Centinela and Culver in a little center with a small parking lot, but even when I came at lunch time there was a spot. It can be a little busy in the area like most places in LA but this is the only shortcoming of Pepe’s.oh well This was my first time here and will not be my last!

YUMMY! I was on my way back from the Home Depot on Jefferson and was really craving a burrito — Unilocal to the rescue! Found Pepe’s and was really glad I did! Located on the corner of Centinela and Culver, in a tiny plaza, there were several parking spots available in the attached lot. I got the al pastor combination burrito — $ 5 and comes with chips and salsa. There is a 50 cent charge for credit card, so bring cash! I was waiting for my order(took about 5 minutes) — this place is pretty efficiently run by 3 ladies. One cooks, one takes the orders and assists the chef, and the other clears the tables. The tables inside were all full when I got there, and there’s one additional table outside. I got my burrito and enjoyed it back at my apartment. My first bite was pure meat — the filling is a little unevenly spaced, because I discovered more and more ingredients as I kept eating — but it’s a really delicious combination of meat, rice, beans, and salsa! The salsa is fresh and not spicy, really nice addition to balance out the meatiness of the burrito. Tortillas are handmade and fresh, and the chips are fried fresh as well. Thanks to Unilocal,I have found a delicious burrito spot, with a TON of other items on their menu and will definitely be back!

I generally never give such a low rating nor do I like to complain but today is the exception. As for the location it’s decent. The food I will say is ok considering this is my first &LAST time here. The cooks are nice and they’re singing in the background. The server and the busboy/girl are also nice but, and it’s a big«but», the older lady at the register is HORRIBLE!!! She should absolutely not be working the register as she is the first person you have to interact with. She doesn’t greet you and has an attitude when you ask her a question. You better know exactly what you want, order quickly and pay. Do not make eye contact cause you may turn to stone. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first but watched her with every customer after me and it was the same. She is the reason for the 1 star. Her nasty attitude and poor customer service is more than enough to have me take my business elsewhere.

We visited here last February(2015) and found it by happenstance. We were in town for a convention and decided that hotel food and the line was out of the question. Being from Texas, and having a love for not only Tex-Mex, but authentic taquerias we started searching for restaurants close, but not next door to our hotel. After looking through the Unilocal,we found Pepe’s. One word to describe Pepe’s: Authentic A paragraph to describe the food: Yes! Where to begin… it’s the hard part. We ordered sandwiches and tacos from here and all the meat was spot on to authentic Mexican food. Not Tex-Mex, not Cali-Mex. This is the real deal. Meats were spiced perfectly. Bread was toasted perfectly. Tortillas didn’t fall apart. All the tacos came with the proper dressings. And the Horchata… if angels came down from heaven and decided to make a drink, this was it. It wasn’t too much rice, not too much sugar, or too much ice. it was perfect. especially going with the hot sauce. When we come back, this place will be a definite stop. Forget the touristy places, Pepe’s won’t disappoint.

Authentic — Affordable — Amazing Flavor Must haves: The Pepe’s burrito and the Camarones a la Diabla plate(watch it, this one is spicy!). I find myself craving both of these dishes frequently… Where to begin about Pepe’s! It doesn’t get better than this. Pepe’s is your walk up, small, neighborhood joint that never disappoints. Taking a bite to go or dining in are both great experiences. Service is always friendly and quick, it’s never too crowded, and you get chips and salsa with every order(love that!). As for affordable– you can get 3 tacos + chips and salsa that come with it for less than $ 6. When dining in, they’ve even allowed me to pop over next door to grab a beer and bring it back to enjoy with dinner. Awesome perk. Thank goodness I’m in the area and can make this a regular stop. Some of the best Mexican in West LA and beyond.

Good food + great price. I didn’t pay too much attention to the individual menu items, but everything on the combo menu board seemed like such a great deal. For $ 6.99, you can get 4 tacos and a drink, or 3 tacos, fries, and a drink. There’s a whole lot of variation with these combos, and most – if not all – of them are $ 8.99 or under. And for the drink, you can substitute soda(Coke products definitely a plus here) with the cantaloupe agua fresca, which I highly recommend. MC and I shared the three tacos + fries + drink combo. Tacos are topped with cilantro, onions, and salsa – a simple and fresh complement to the meat. Notwithstanding the few charred bits, the asada was pretty darn good. Could do with a tiny bit more meat considering the thick tortillas, though. Other than that, the fries are good, too! I’ve never really had quality fries at a Mexican restaurant before, so this was a first. Ketchup is provided, but I’d recommend trying the fries with the free salsa they provide. Free salsa? Yes – free salsa and chips! While you sit and wait, you get a bowl of each to nibble on. The chips are just ordinary, and the salsa has a slight kick which gives it character.

This place is sandwiched between a convenience store and a donut shop in a little strip mall, doesn’t look like much from the outside but man they have some killer asada tacos. I get the flour tortillas because obviously flour. Call ahead of time for pick up as the place is small with limited seating.

I work nearby Pepe’s Tacos and I can’t wait to come back! Such great food for a sweet price. Pepe’s is located in a small plaza with several parking spaces. The restaurant is a small, humble place and the people working inside are straight to the point but friendly. They offer free chips and salsa(yay!) and have delicious horchata too. I tried a 2 taco plate with carne asada and was super happy with how it tasted. I went into full Mexcian food coma afterwards… so yeah. I’ll be back.

I love Pepe’s Tacos! It literally takes me 5 minutes to walk here and the tacos are delicious. I either get the carne asada tacos or the Supreme burrito. The Supreme burrito is huge!!! It seriously fed my boyfriend and I. I also like their carne asada fries but wish they used smaller sized fries. Whoever helped us last time said guacamole was extra so we didn’t order it but he ended up bringing it to our table anyway which was extremely sweet and generous(wish I got his name). Pepe’s also has some good combination deals so I’d recommend any of that.
