Ordered vermicelli noodles with beef and egg rolls. They DONOT have«nuoc cham«…they will instead give you regular plain room temperature fish sauce without garlic, lime juice, or chili pepper added in. It looked like yellow water or tea. The beef is not grilled or marinated, it is plainly cooked dry beef flank with salt and pepper seasoning. The bowl had tons of bean sprouts, whole lot of chopped cabbage, diced onions and three pieces of cucumber garnished on the side without cilantro and carrots or pickled white radish. Not enough noodles(less than a handful) and the peanuts were not crushed but tossed in as a whole. My Vietnamese coffee was premade and had Coffemate half & half in hazelnut cream flavor. Do not come here if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food. Phở is white peppered broth with lots of salt and has green onions galore with white onions with whatever meat you chose. If you had phở or Vietnamese food before stepping into this restaurant, you’ll understand this place is a joke.

Came in here New Years Day around 2:00 a.m., was not inebriated. Tab for 3 people was about 33.00. I left 5.00 as a tip. My credit card bill shows $ 41.00, they obviously changed by 5 to an 8. Got caught when they couldn’t forge the 41 over the 38. Portions were also laughably small when compared to the dozens of other phở restaurants in the vicinity. These people are crooks

Best Korean phở. Always get the ox tail phở because that’s what phở 2000 is about! The soup is scorching hot. which I love! Also if you’re gonna eat at a Korean phở joint, make sure to get side onions. Mix with cilantro, little hoisin, Sriracha and lemon. Eat like kimchi. The egg rolls are good too!

I got in, sat down for 1 min, gave my order and 1 min later I get my oxtail soup… …is this what heaven is like?

For being open so late, I have to grant this place the fourth star. We walked over here after my husband’s DJ gig at nearby Blipsy Bar. The Korean ladies gave us an efficient greeting and led us to our table. Only a couple tables were occupied, so the atmosphere was relaxing enough, kind of like a late-night diner sans Edward Hopper palette. We shared spring rolls, which had a nice balance of a deep-fried shell crisp on the outside and a steaming mélange of flora and fauna on the inside. Hubby ordered the vegetable phở, which was so-so(so he didn’t finish some of it), and I rather enjoyed my bowl of spicy seafood phở, though the shrimp and squid were tough little guys who put up a respectable fight against my heedless chompers.

Oxtail Phở for 2 = $ 23 The oxtail was really delicious and unique. One big bowl they give with the phở broth and noodles and the second mini bowl they give has the oxtail and its own personal broth. They also give the side dishes including extra onions if you feel that you need more onions in your life. The staff assist you right when you walk into the restaurant. It’s not big and a bit shabby, but, the food is the thing that counts and taste really delicious. I recommend to come with friends during a cold day or even a hot day.

Meh. the phở here is mediocre. The only positive really is that it’s open late. I LOVE phở, but I think for late night drunchies, I’d rather go to BCD. I would never go to this place during normal business hours.

This place never lets me down. The quality of the food is consistent, the price is cheap and the staff is great. They are usually not that busy, but when they are the staff is still attentive and the food still comes out in a timely manner. The only bad thing about this place is the parking. Theres a douchebag parking attendant who makes you give at least a dollar even if you park your own car. He is even there in the early morning hours when the parking lot is empty, w/e I will always come back.

This location was acquired in 2000 and was the 1st Phở 2000 Restaurant in Los Angeles. It was an instant hit in Koreatown. Kenny, the owner re-decorated the new place — adding colors and artwork that are familiar to the Korean tradition and culture. The idea behind the renovation works was to give the place a neighborhood ambiance. Located in the heart of Koreatown, this location becomes a hot spot for the many Korean club goers during after hours. i always order the House Special(Combo) with meat balls, rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, onions, cilantro, and green onions. We would all share a plate of spring rolls(Cha Gio — 6 pieces) with shrimp and crab. It’s not the best phở place, so it serves its purpose. Parking is horrible around this area, so you would have to try and find a parking structure or street parking.

I know there’s a phở joint in almost every corner in Ktown so it’s not even worth writing a Unilocal review. But seriously the service here is SOSOBAD! If I’m asking for water, cilantro, or extra lime on different occasions and you’re looking right at my face and decide to not bring it then there’s something wrong with you. I’ve had to ask the waitress more than once for water and she clearly heard/saw me and wouldn’t bring it on purpose. It really felt like she was trying to irk me. Then hey so be it, that won’t harm me in anyway that just means no tip for you. I hate leaving no tip for waiters/waitresses at restaurants because I know that’s how they make a living but if you’re acting like that you don’t deserve tip. And throughout my time there I’ve heard the same rude waitress bad mouth non-Korean customers. She was a younger lady and she’s lucky I didn’t catch her name if I did, I would’ve posted it. Like I said there’s so many other phở places to go to so skip this place. FYI I went on a Tuesday around 7:30PM.

Since my sister was in town all I heard was: Phở phở phở(to the tune of jingle bells in my head). Here we were on Xmas Eve exploring nearby Phở places that were open late. It was already almost 9pm and we definitely scored. This place was open till 2 in the morning. Yay. We drove about 2 miles to our new adventure. Glad to have something nearby and open. It’s was a typical small business nothing fancy or super exciting. We entered were greeted right away. We were seated upfront. Menus were pre-placed under glass table. With a quick glance we agreed on seafood Phở.($ 8-$ 9ish per bowl) Bring it out baby. Let’s do this. My first time ever trying it. The soup was very white brothy with shrimp/fish balls/onions/green onion/tofu. Seperate tray held extra garnishes like onion/basil leaves/jalapeño 2 rings/one piece of lime. I copied the PRo-phở-Eater. Adding everything she did. Followed by the condiments like soy sauce/sriracha sauce/a brown sauce I don’t remember what it was and oh help me God another red sauce. Mixed everything well. Slurped away at the broth which was perfect… asked for some forks. Sadly, my chopstick skills haven’t been quite mastered. Perhaps… a new year resolution. The noodles were super good. About 5 minutes in I realized something was off. Those onions that I added tasted very funky. And I was slowly starting to lose my appetite. Tasted a bit freezer burned or not so very fresh like they were left in the fridge uncovered. Ugh. So may go back. No onions tho. Or perhaps I’d try a new place. Service was friendly and fast.

Been coming back here periodically for over a decade. Private lot with cheap parking for the win. Park on the street if you’re not into valet. The restaurant is small and efficient; no romance, no ambiance, just noodle-y goodness at a reasonable price. The service is very quick, which is typical of a solid phở restaurant. They speak very good English, so language is not a barrier. Chicken phở is my go-to order; the broth is delicious, the toppings are fresh, and the noodles are killer. Under $ 10 to stuff my noodle-loving face. YAAAASSS. If you’re more of a beef person, the #1 with the meatball is pretty damn good. I don’t typically fuck around with side dishes when I’m coming for noodles, but I’ve definitely tried the egg rolls before and they were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Making a return trip in my mind as I type. Perfect for a cold day. Or any day. Noodles. Yes.

Definitely the late night phở spot! I usually get #5: Phở Seafood(combo) — shrimp, squid, fish ball, cilantro, green onion, onion [hold the cilantro] and my boyfriend gets #1: House Special(combo) — meat ball, rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, onion, cilantro, green onion. Both taste delicious! Broth is very flavorful and they’re not stingy with noodles or broth. I’m not sure but I think they serve unlimited noodles and broth. There are plenty of tables and the times I came here it was never packed. The service is good, staff is nice and their bathroom is clean :) Definitely coming back here & I recommend this place.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been to many restaurants that serve phở. I’ve had great phở and terrible phở. This place definitely has the BEST phở I’ve ever had. When I make the trip to LA I stop at this place every time for a bowl of their delicious phở The broth is delicious and full of flavor. The meat options are quite varied, but I always stick with rare beef. Yum! Everything on the table to go with the phở is super fresh. The basil, the bean sprouts, onions, and jalapeños. Plus it’s always an added bonus to have extra noodles and broth when you dine in. However, the parking lot is private owned so you must pay for valet, but it is a $ 1 when validated so it isn’t too much. Just an annoyance to add when I’m hangry. :) I’m definitely coming again soon!

Customer service was there. The quality was there and everything was humongous. One plate of the chow fun dish was honestly enough to feed two people. It was a tiny bit put pricier compared to most phở places I’ve been to, but the quality and portion sizes more than makes up for it.

Came here around 12am after a group of friends and I went to Universal Studios. Ordered their rare steak phở($ 8.40) and egg rolls(7.99). Everything was very tasty, but I felt as if their prices were a little high for a mediocre phở place in K-town.

I don’t like phở but bf demands to eat it at least once a month. Of all the locations we go to, I like their oxtail phở the best. You get your regular phở noodles with a bowl of oxtail on the side that you can pick the meat from. I hadn’t eaten the whole day so it was really yummy. Their eggrolls are pretty good too. But once again. I hadn’t eaten the whole day. Service is very quick and they always give us a plate of onions each. The korean ladies can speak a bit of english so that was nice. They used to be cash only but have changed with the times. Credit is accepted. These places are a dime a dozen in LA so if you’ve tried one. you’ve tried them all.

Okay… where to begin? I’m from Sacramento and we have alot of awesome and delicious Phở there, so I have a pretty high standards for phở. Was in LA for a bachelorette party and needed a good phở for the hangover and for the drive back to Sacramento. We choose this place because it was the closest to our place hoping it would be good but of course it was own by Koreans. Don’t get me wrong it was good but not legit. First; they don’t carry no chili oil!!! Wtf?! Second; their Vietnamese coffee taste like mocha!!! But they’re were pretty nice ladies. And third; their spring rolls were tiny and it’s not even comparable to Vietnamese spring rolls. Oh well. it’s in korean town what did I expect? 3 stars for nice server and the broth was still good and it did it’s job.

Wow I always heard of the horror story of waitress chasing people down for tips, well I finally got to experiences it here at Pho2000. I can count the number of 1star reviews I give in one hand, there were so many things that went wrong when I came here with my friends. We arrived here 3am in the morning after the club, my friends were craving for some phở. I was like whatever and came along. There were 5 of us, yes I was the 5th wheel and I am not a shame of it. We waited for about 15 minutes, it didn’t start off right when they moved us from a longer table that would seat 5 – 8 to a smaller table could only fit 4. Whatever they want to seat more people that’s fine. Well we were already at this cram space and they were taking a long time to take our orders. The food was taking forever to get to us, it was somewhat busy during the time, so is understandable. I think we got our food 30 – 40 minutes after we sit down. Here is the Phở part, it was just bad. Really bad, and I want to say my standard for food is pretty low especially as a Unilocaler. I know is Korean made phở but common it was bad. Totally not worth the money. Out of the five people 3 of us didn’t finish the food, and I am one of those people that always finish what is on the table. Well if the night ends here I probably would give it a 2 star. So the bill total come out to be $ 54, we pay $ 60. I probably would throw down a dollar or two more but I just didn’t have any change, but for the kind of service the tip amount is fit. They gave us the change back and put it on the table, we just left it there while we were still eating. The waitress came to our table and lifted up the money multiple times during the 10minutes that we were finishing up the food. I thought that was kind of weird, and I was thinking to myself is she really checking on the tips in front of us. So we got up and left, the waitress ran outside, pulled one of my friend and pointed at the bill and asked for tips. I am not trying to make fun of her, but her English was poor, so the only thing I could understand was«This much» «Tips». I told my friends just leave what we left was more than 10% but he was being nice and wanted to pay more, so we try to pay an extra dollar or two, however none of us got any dollar bills on us. One of the guy dropped $ 5 on top and my other friend tried to get 2 dollars back, but the waitress told him that«No he pay me» and she just left. So she made out %20+ tips, good for her but I will never go back again. Well I at least I got a story of getting chase down by a waitress for tips out of it.

I came here for a quick snack and had the spring rolls and egg rolls. Ummmm, spring rolls were really bland and just not good at all. The egg rolls were a little better, but how wrong can you go with these. The iced coffee here tasted gross and I just can’t get myself to ever come back here. I hear that phở is what one would need to try here, maybe one day I’ll taste it…
