I think they changed ownership. They had the crust that was going for them. I though it was great and their oven had the right temp setting to make it right. Now they are trying hand tossed? The oven is burning the top crust and leaving the bottom completely raw like pizza soup. Is there no quality control. It’s not the employees fault. They are not pizza cooks

This place has gone way downhill. I live waking distance so stop by some times as it is convenient but I’d say 50% of the time it is closed, even during their posted business hours. On a recent trip I waited 30 minutes before they took my order and there were only 4 people ahead of me. Several people came in and walked out during the time I was waiting. Finally, and worst of all they started charging $ 1 per topping after the first so it’s not even cheap anymore to get a pie made up the way you want like any of this competitors like PizzaRev, etc. Also the pizzas appear to be smaller than they used to be. Very unlikely I’ll be going back.

Came her three straight times the place is closed. There are people in there I keep knocking to ask why the sign says 9pm and its 7:50 and its closed. The NUMBER is wrong can’t get a hold of them to ask them if they are open or not because obviously don’t want to drive there if it’s closed … Something needs to change.

Well this is a review of the Unilocal site the number you have listed is not correct! Can’t order Pizza as the number is wrong and the Website for the restaurant has no number so I guess it looks like some place else will have to do.

I have now given several location of Five 85 a try and it has been a miss every time! The pizza is horrible quality, often burnt and/or undercooked. Service is so slow, they really have no idea what they are doing. The pasta super soggy, very overcooked and watery, pass. Salad was ok, not great, but fine and I probably had the best thing out of everyone I was dining with. The only thing they have going for them is that they are cheaper than all the other create your own pizza chains(honestly I would rather pay the $ 1 – 2 more!), have no lines(I wonder why?!!) and offer a bit more than other places. Oh, also pass on the smores dessert pizza, very lackluster with a handful of marshmallows and some chocolate syrup, baked half raw.

Super tasty, cheap, tons of interesting options, and they load up on all the toppings. Their basic pizza sauce has a nice flavor and their crust is a perfect mix of crispy bottom with a little chewiness. Not too thick or thin. I’ve been here a couple times and it’s been pretty slow, so hopefully they’re doing well enough with business. The area and shopping center is not super great looking, but their store is large, clean and updated/nice looking. This is definitely one of the stronger build your own pizza places that I’ve been to.

Quick easy and affordable. Another of the personal pizza chains that have popped up recently, I’ve enjoyed this one because of how affordable it is for the size of pizza you’re getting. It’s sauces resemble maybe a little more of a canned good than I’d like but choosing the right combination of sauces and meats easily counters that.

For $ 5.99(only til the end of the month) you can get unlimited toppings! They don’t skimp on cheese or anything! It was tasty and perfect… There are a few different sauces you can choose from, and some awesome toppings. I didn’t get it, but they even had italian squash in garlic…

To start the parking lot was a disaster. So park somewhere else if you can. My friend ordered a pizza with multiple toppings. She also had a side salad(which was the only decent thing). The guy working gave her her salad and asked if he could get her anything else. She said her pizza was sitting right there when he informed her that the girl who built her pizza burned it and had to remake it without telling her take a guess on what toppings she had. It was not the same pizza. I ordered a build your own pasta which had wayyyy too much marinara sauce which was over kill. I love Pizza Five85 and have been numerous times but the customer service was beyond terrible at this location. Avoid this location if you can!

Lots of great toppings. And they have a gluten-free pizza. It’s almost like a Subway sandwich shop but for pizza. I wandered in because I was hungry right when I walked by and was pleasantly surprised. The staff look happy to be there and happy to help. And I actually wound up going back there the next day because the pizza was so good Only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is the bathroom is right by the soda fountain and it smelled really bad both times I was there. Hopefully they took care of that by now. It’s kind of hard not to notice. Overall a great little pizza place. I wished they delivered.

This place is yummy. Ordered a pizza and a pasta. The pizza crust was so delicious. Thin, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. The sauces were so good and with the three toppings, it makes for some great eating. The pasta was good too. Al dente pasta, pesto sauce mixed with marinara and Cajun chicken. I really enjoyed it. Also a free smore pizza comes with check in and it’s fantastic. Roasted marshmallows, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. Ate more of the dessert than my entrée. This place is a keeper. Yum!

So here are the buzzwords for you to remember about this place: cheap, tasty, and freedom. Cheap: you can get a pizza/salad/pasta dish with unlimited toppings for $ 8. Or if you get two toppings on your pizza(not counting crust, sauce, and first layer of cheese), it costs like $ 6. Hey, that’s a good deal. Tasty: the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. I like to get a salad on top of my pizza – usually including pepperoni and sausage. The red sauce was thick, but not creamy. I liked it. The crust is very thin, but that’s okay: this is LA and we try to minimize simple carbs here. Freedom: When I first head of a pizza place offering unlimited toppings, I was skeptical. I mean, I feel like you would get as many toppings as possible because you can, but then what if you suck at pairing the right items? But then I remembered something. America. We celebrate the ability to make your own decisions here. So, really, it’s a beautiful thing that you can select your own toppings and make your own mistakes. At this place, you can get like six different types of chicken on your pizza. Should you? No. But the novelty of having that option makes all the difference. Bonus points for you, pizza place. Ultimately this is just another decent pizza place that is cashing in on the popular make-your-own pizza trend. And I approve.

I came here before and I love that you can get all the ingredients you like on your pizza and pasta(I get italian chicken, chesse, pesto, artichokes, asparagus, mushroom, roasted red peppers, pimentos, spinach, green bell peppers and I loved it). But what happen today? Pasta is now limited to 1 meat and 3 ingredients, l ask if I can pay the pizza price(Pizza is $ 7.50 and pasta is $ 5.99) to get all the ingredients I like and she didn’t give me an option of extra ingredients. After I insist she said she’ll make an exception this time to get me all I want but will be the last time. If they keep the limit on ingredients I believe i’m going to have to look for another place. Any sugestions in the Hollywood area?

We wanted to use a coupon they sent in the mail, so my boyfriend ordered for pickup. Unfortunately, it took him several tries before someone answered, and then they were out of two ingredients needed for my pizza. He agreed to talk to me and call them back. When he tried to call back, he called and called, but no one answered. We gave up and ordered Thai. Being a new business, running out of two ingredients is understandable, but having someone to answer the phone is a basic logistic!

I had(olive oil, marinara sauce) mozzarella, feta, tomato, garlic, red onion, red pepper, sausage and artichoke for $ 7.50. It was quite good, filling too. I’m normally a plain ol’ cheese guy, but I had to give the toppings a shot at a place like this. As a pizza diva, next time I’ll ask if they can leave it in a few minutes longer and attempt to brown the top a bit. If they burn it slightly — oh well… unless a pizza is on fire, it generally can’t be too burnt for me. The crust held up well to the toppings and it had nice flavor, too, which is nice considering what you pay for a pie at a place like Mozza where they serve you flavorless crust. I ate the whole pie and was full when I left. I like the sound of the daily $ 3.99 pepperoni pizza — I’ll try that next time. This place(and places like it) should compel pizza eaters to kick Domino’s to the curb, once and for all.

(Tookout 10÷03÷14 F @ 5:00pm): The sun has set in Hollywood… with a hot temperature reading of 585-degrees! Thanks to a killer buy-one-get-one-free coupon offer I recently received in the mail that introduced the latest pizza creation, Pizza Five85, the true Filipino in me had to use it! I’d been working on a few projects all day and hadn’t eaten anything of substance, so I jumped into the Toaster and headed into Hollywood for some discounted food for this starvin’ Marvin to chow down on!: Create Your Own Pizza($ 7.50) — Since it was no-meat Friday for me, I threw it down hard with a veggie pizza that basically looked like a salad… and I kind of had to eat it that way! Several vegetables and fruits were harmed in the making of this pie, and here was how my piece de resistance was built: a base of olive oil and marinara sauce smothered with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses followed by a garden of basil, black olives, cilantro, garlic, jalapenos, mushrooms, pineapples, red onions and tomatoes. All ingredients were fresh and neatly presented in their metal buckets. Here was a before image . And, here was an after image . The glorious aroma was killing me as I drove home, and luckily the pizza was still hot. I grabbed a slice and took a gigantic bite out of it… and then another… and finally two smaller bites that finished-off the crispy and crunchy crust. The taste was so heavenly I couldn’t hold back as I reached for another slice. This time, the weight of all the toppings cascaded off the paper-thin crust; I introduced to you a pizza salad! Create Your Own Salad + Salmon($ 7.50 + $ 1.00) — I chose romaine lettuce for my greens(mixed greens the other option) and then went to town again with the toppings. As a twist, I added salmon and pesto for my dressing. Jordan specifically asked for sure if I wanted pesto for my dressing and I didn’t budge on that. This salad was ginormous with the glut of stuff I added, but it was damn good! And, the pesto worked to perfection! Service — As I stepped up to place my order, I was kindly greeted by Jordan, my pizza chef, whom I put to work… but he was up to the task! For each of the items, I had him shoving his hands in almost every ingredient bucket except the meats. He even wanted to make sure the presentation was worthy of a possible culinary award! The pizza went into the oven while the salad was already packed. A separate person rang-up my order, happily took my coupon and wished me a good day. About five minutes later, Jordan delivered my pizza as I sat patiently. All was good! Parking(free to metered) — Located in a tiny strip mall, there was a small lot with very tight limited parking behind the restaurant shared with a couple other businesses(namely Starbucks). I pulled in and quickly pulled back out — nada, and all the spots said for«Starbucks»! So, I drove around the block and parked on a nearby residential side street and simply walked it. There was also metered/non-metered parking along the main drag of Sunset Blvd., but generally speaking, please be mindful of any posted street signs for restrictions. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — A simple rectangular-shaped floorplan with several tables and chairs as you entered before you reached the stainless steel order/preparation counter . Several monitors hung on a wall that promoted their product and how to include them in your social media posts. Plenty of natural lighting shown through all the surrounding windows, and they also had eclectic electric light fixtures that hung low from the high ceiling. There were no TVs nor any background music. A rather clean place. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I enjoyed the wonderful promotional offer Pizza Five85(FYI…the temperature in which the pizza is cooked in their oven) gave with their coupons that introduced themselves to the neighborhood. They were yet another in a long line of «create-your-own-pizza» places with the same fresh ingredients and speedy cook time. They’re prices were a shade lower then most, but they lacked alcohol AND root beer, had no TVs for sports and their pizzas seemed smaller(under 10″?). I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total paid experience was around $ 17.00 before discount and tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 4.0STARS

Well, what a pleasant surprise! Right in my neighborhood. Michelle was very pleasant and accommodating. The other guy Jordan was really pleasant with customers also. Unilocal had a special offer to receive a dessert with my order, but right now this pizza joint has an even better deal! I got an EXTRAFREEPIZZA with my order! So I’m singing Pharrells song right now! Pizza cooked anyway is yummy when YOU tell them what you want on it. DELICIOUS pizza. I’m also getting the Smore dessert. Yummy! Thanks Michelle!!! «I’m so HAPPY!!!»

First time here, the boyfriend brought me to have a slice of pizza. Courteous and friendly staff and the owner came by to ask how we were doing which is cool! Ingredients look fresh! Definitely recommend this place if you’re ever out here in the Hollywood area. And another plus it’s right next to Starbucks for your coffee fix!
