This place is amazing! Front staff are so nice, they saw me right on time, and the doctor was very friendly and informative. Definitely coming back. Dr. Steinberg is super cute too

I had a friend who was in a coma and also a patient of Dr Stybel. We couldn’t find his glasses for when he woke up and they way Dr Stybel worked with his mom to get glasses made for her son was so kind. And at COST. He’s is that type of guy. Such a sweet sweet staff. And they have all been there forever. They’re all fantastic.

We love the folks at Positive Eye Ons. Dr. Stybel is wonderful and we’ve been going to him for years. They are very patient with kids and any time we have had a question or concern, we’ve been able to email the dr and get responses pretty quickly. I tell everyone to go to Positive Eye Ons.

Went in for glasses and got two pairs. The doctor was very polite and took his time. The superstar of the office is definitely Francis, she was super nice and didn’t pressure me too but anything. I’ll be back.

Great experience. The staff are friendly and both doctors are knowledgeable and personable — they also went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I came in for an eye exam and to update my contacts prescription. I have astigmatism and dry eyes, and it’s difficult to find contacts that fit the shape of my eyes and also wear well for long hours (I wear my contacts 12+ hours a day). The doctors (I worked with both) were more than happy to give me a variety of trial lenses to test out. Contact lens «shopping» can be stressful — in the past, I’ve felt pressured to decide on a lens before I’ve had time to really gauge if it fits and wears well. Not here. I appreciated the care I received and their willingness to work with me, over a period of time, to find the absolute best solution.

Angela helped me pick out a pair of matte black glasses that day. I have never worn glasses before… Angela was super patient and got my style immediately.
They text me when my glasses were ready, which was only a few days after I had ordered them. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my glasses and I can see better ;)
Lots of parking around there, great location– right across from Urban Outfitters and Starbucks. The whole experience felt effortless.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience here. These people really know what they are doing. The doc was super warm and engaging… excellent bedside manner AND really skilled at what he does. This is kind of a scary area for some people to deal with and in my case… getting older and needing glasses just made me want to hide under the covers! I felt really taken care of during the exam and all of my questions and thoughts were addressed. I couldn’t decide if I should get progressive lenses or just get two pairs of glasses and they came up with a really great solution for me! Angela is a complete doll. She was so patient and understanding with me and she really cares. She’s also very detail oriented and precise when she was measuring me for the lenses. I left feeling completely confident that these glasses were going to be the exactly right fit for me. She let me take my time shopping for the perfect frames, gave me her honest input and never got impatient with me. Overall, I felt really taken care of and important and isn’t that what being a patient is all about? I’ll never go anywhere else for my eyes! Thanks guys! :-*

Partner and I just had our first visit to Dr. Stybel and we both loved the place, the staff and the doctor! Some of the nicest people you could ever meet as well as professional. It’s also super state of the art. No more air puffs. No more dilation. He also got us both into much better contacts. We’ve already recommended them to our friends. Great experience! Dr. Stybel is easy on the eyes also lol :)

AMAZING experience. I called at 3:00pm this Saturday for a appointment, was given a 4:00pm time and came in to be taken right in. Ryan is a absolute gem! He’s sweet, smart and is their to make you ultimately happy with your experience. I had a full eye exam and contact lense fitting for $ 155 which is a great deal if you don’t have insurance. They offer a special machine that allows you the option to not have your eyes dilated for a additional charge. Personally I wear contacts ²⁴⁄₇ so having my eyes dilated is the worst so I opted for the $ 40 charge and service and couldn’t be happier. After doing all the tests and having my lenses fit, I was able to get my glasses lenses taken care of as well. They offer a wide selection of eye wear brands that are trendy and top of the line. I’m super into fashion and appreciate having the brands I know and love readily available to me. I was in and out in under a hour and was able to order my contacts and glasses on the spot. They can mail them to you if you are to busy to come in but they are offer Saturday appointments which is the game changer for me. I’m a busy working girl and don’t find time to go to the doctors during the week. You’ve got a customer for life here!

Both my wife and I had our eyes tested here. She bought glasses and I had contact lenses and we could not have been more impressed with both the service and the cost!
Ryan is the consummate professional. His enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to customer service is second to non. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet!

Dr. Stybel, Angela, and Craig are who I’ve dealt with the most (they’re amazing!!) but all the newer staff are just as nice.
Today I met Jessica who took care of resizing my CHEAP frames and didn’t even make a stink at how many times she had to heat them up to get them to fit properly on my face… was super genuinely sweet the entire time (hello, they were super cheap frames that I obviously didn’t buy at this establishment and she still worked meticulously to do a perfect job)
Just gives me more reasons to love this place. Seriously everyone needs to come here. I appreciate your hustle, Jessica! Thank you! :)

Dr. Stybel is just so awesome! Coolest and easiest optometry appointment ever! He really took the time to chat and check in and did not make me feel like just another patient. I truly felt cared for and in good, competent hands! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Best optometrist in L.A.

I’ve been going to Positive Eye-​Ons and Dr. Stybel for about 3 years. I moved to LA from Long Beach and really loved my Long Beach optometrist — I finally got tired of commuting back to Long Beach to see him and gave Dr. Stybel a try. I have been a regular customer since. My eyes are challenging due to some vision changes and he and his staff have worked very closely with me on multiple pairs of glasses and sunglasses.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Stybel and the staff. Finding someone you trust with your eyesight is a very personal experience and I highly recommend you give Dr. Stybel a try.

Dr. Stybel and his employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and down to earth. I recommend Positive Eye Ons to anyone looking for a nice pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses. Really nice selection of quality frames. Finally found the perfect frames after looking in around 10 shop and online research.

The best in town. They not only know their frames they are all easy on the eyes. As long as I am in LA. I will shop here for new glass frames.

When I went into the office for an eye exam, I let Dr. Stybel know that I was having irritation with my contacts. He immediately figured out what the issue was and layed out all of my options for me. He is super comfortable to talk to, and you can tell he really cares about doing what is best for his patients. I came in the following week to pick up my glasses, and (without an appointment!!) the doctor asked if I wanted him to take a look at how my eyes were doing. He did a check-​up without having an appointment! The next week, he sent me an email to see how my eyes were feeling; we had a back & forth exchange in which he responded very quickly to all of my questions. When I went in to pick up my contacts, he also specifically came over to see how I was doing and remembered the glasses I had purchased.
The staff is awesome! They were very helpful in picking out glasses, and you could definitely tell they were giving their genuine opinions and wanting what was best for me. The office has a great vibe as well. I absolutely LOVE my new glasses and contacts and am so happy that I went to Positive Eye Ons!

I refer all my friends and family to Positive Eye Ons. Dr. Stybel is very good at explaining technical information in an easy to understand way. He cares when something isn’t right and approaches your situation as if it was his own.
I cannot say enough good things about Craig. He is the absolute best. Patient, good follow through, not to mention, a perfectionist when it comes to how your glasses fit. He never tries to up-​sell and doesn’t judge me when I forget to pick up my order :)
Their selection of frames is stylish and also expansive while keeping competitive prices. This place is really the whole package.

The absolute worst. The doctor is nice enough, a little too pretty, but I get it. The guy with a shaved head who fits you is, honestly, like a sculptor with frames. He will make your glasses fit perfectly. However, the problem here is the middle eastern (i think, i don’t know and that’s not my point) woman who writes up your lens order. She’s rude, she’s unnecessarily confrontational and she shamelessly tries to up-​sell you every step of the way. I’m not going to go into every detail of my misfortunate experience with this establishment, but I am here to warn you. Just go somewhere else.
