Sing your heart out in the privacy of friends! I enjoy singing, but the idea of singing in front of a bar full of drunk strangers never really appealed to me. Thankfully, I found Rain and it ended up being the perfect spot to celebrate my friend’s 21st birthday! Unlike a typical karaōke dive bar, Rain provides an upscale setting with great food and even better service. Here, you and your friends can rent out a private room and sing like there’s no tomorrow. You can pick from thousands of songs from several different languages AND pop some bottles while you’re at it. From the outside, Rain may look like another unassuming K-Town building, but once you walk in, anticipate a night club vibe with flashing lights, a big screen in the lobby and sparkling floors and walls. Expect to spend a couple hundred here, but the cost is well worth it(especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion). May I add, I notice the female customers here typically dress to the nines, so guys, look sharp. Lastly, the wait staff here is amazing! All smiles and truly accommodating. Service is literally at your fingertips, specifically at the push of a button. Yes, you read that right. Each room is equipped with a button, so if you need more drinks or need some fiddling with the karaōke machine, push that button and someone will be there to help you in an instant. Valet parking is also convenient, so hurry up and check this spot out if you’re looking for something new to do in K-Town!

Was here last night. The staff are nice and the prices are reasonable. The service is also quicker than other karaokes. Would definitely come back.

I am not a frequent Unilocal review writer but I plan to write more reviews because I think great customer service and hospitality is important. I’ve been to rain about 3 times now. Me and my friends love to go to karaōke to drink and sing. We’ve been to a couple other places in Korea town but I can’t remember their names. Rain is the best! They have the best song choices in my option, very up to date. The waiters are very fast and awesome! Especial Sam who is the security for rain. He is very kind and always goes out of his way to ensures we have a great time. As a often karaōke goer, I recommend rain out of the rest!

I loveeee Rain. Very fancy lighting, comfortable sitting, and a wide variety of music. I can karaōke to country music, old school rock, hip hop, and still plug in my phone to play some salsa music to dance to. Also they have great food and nicely priced whiskey… loveee whiskey. The staff is super friendly… esp Sam the security who keeps the place safe and Roy at the front who makes sure all your needs are met. You definitely get 5stars from me. I coming back soon just to sing some Guns N Roses.

Came to this karaōke a few times and I’m giving it a 5 star rate because it’s very Clean, Upscale, the waiters & security are super friendly, everyone there treats you with so much respect and are always on their toes. Oh! & The food selection is scrumptious! You gotta try the steak salad and the spicy chicken :) Ps: there are bathrooms in the karaōke rooms! So you don’t even need to leave your party to go potty! Love it!

Pros: clean, upscale facility with bathrooms in each room. Cons: read below! A group of us married couples went to Rain 2 nights ago after a brief stay at a club. We got there around 12:45ish? Yeah, pretty late considering this place closes at 2 but we wanted to go and just have fun given that we don’t have these types of opportunities anymore. They welcomed us with open arms. At first, but how quickly that can change. So we get a good sized room. This place has bathrooms in each room which is a huge plus. Except for peeps who want to take a no. 2 or anyone throwing up. They placed a net in the toilet so nothing solid will go down. Pretty smart, I’ll give them that. Anyhow, we sat, ordered a grey goose combo, fried eggs and hanchi(dried squid). The drinks and food came out quick so we were having a good time singing when around 1:30 the waiter came in with our bill. We paid, the waiter left and we continued to do our thing. The waiter came back in shortly after with the bill again and said it seems as though we only left them a 20% tip. Yes we did. Is that a problem?!? He continued saying that they deserve at least 30%. Is this guy nuts? We got there, ordered our food and that was that. It’s not like we buzzed the staff constantly, bothering them and asking for crap! We were just enjoying ourselves with the limited time we had. My friend explained to him just that and the guy said, «well if you feel that way and you don’t want to give us extra tip, there’s nothing I can do.» Then left the room. I swear you not, 10 seconds later, a bouncer swings the door open. Do I think they wanted to scare us out? Yes and no. No because after he left our room, I saw him going into other rooms and yes because he came in our room with his«serious» face and the timing of it all just seemed a little suspicious. Little did the staff know that some of my friends knew the bouncer from back in the days when he used to bounce for clubs that we used to frequent. So he ended saying the what’s ups and didn’t even get to say that it was time to leave. He just went on to the next room with his serious face. For about 10, 15 minutes we were in the room just discussing how rude the waiter was and deciding what to do with the grey goose. We still had more than half the bottle. So although we decided from then on never to go back, we decided to save the rest of the GG for now. We were walking out and as I was passing the front counter, I was looking for some candy. Usually all Korean joints have candy in the front. That same bouncer was there and he smiled and asked what I was looking for. I told him candy and he started looking for one right away. A lady behind the counter counting money at the register sounding annoyed said we don’t have it to the bouncer. I appreciated the effort so I said no worries maybe next time. Then I hear this chick singing ‘don’t come back don’t come back please don’t come back’ in Korean! Did this bitch think I couldn’t understand her? Anyhow, what I should’ve done was stop right there and confront her about it but I took the easier way out. I sang back in Korean ‘don’t worry, don’t worry, I’ll never come back bitch’ as I stepped out of the exit. I hope she heard me but who knows. I’m in my 30’s with a kid, I can’t be «turning up» as the younger folks like to put it LOL All in all, no, I would never go back to this place. It’s kinda sad too. I used to go here a lot a loooooonnngg time ago when it was called About. It was one of the best noraebangs out there. What a shame… Now they turned into tip hungry trolls. I guess that’s what happens when the Feds raid the dowumis(karaōke service girls) and they lost male customers.

Extremely uncomfortable environment. The«bouncer» obviously has a problem with women. Belittles and disrespects them. I have friends that are bouncers at bars and high-end night clubs and never do they treat anyone like that. I highly recommend people going elsewhere. Its apparent that the owner of this place doesn’t really care either, or else this poor excuse of a man wouldn’t be working there. Will update my review when bouncer is let go, and or the place is under management of a new owner that actually cares.

Not worst even give it a try. The high price low quality. We made a reservation and asked her what’s time closed today and she didn’t give us the exactly time. We want to stay longer because it’s our friends birthday. However, she brought our check at 1:30. If we knew they closed at 2am we wouldn’t go there. BAD experience ever. Will not go again definitely.

Limited song selection. Food shows up and you didn’t order it. If you’ve had a few drinks you are inclined to eat the food and at the end of your night surprise! You end up paying for food which you didn’t order(duh) Total scheme to up-charge your bill. No thanks. I will go to Story instead. Also, I think there is some kind of weird sex ring going on here because I keep seeing vans dropping off young looking girls in tacky outfits and the girls go to the rooms and some stay but some quickly leave and get back into the vans. While my party and I were buying our room we noticed this within minutes and it seemed shady as hell. Don’t know what that’s about but it didn’t seem right.

This place is a joke. Went there around 9pm and asked for a room. They asked if we had a reservation. Who makes reservations for noraebang? Told them«no» and although, I saw many open rooms, they tell us if you don’t have reservation, it’s two hour wait… wtf? Are you serious? You rather turn down customers equaling revenue to look like your place is high end noraebang? Ya, good luck staying in business. So we went to Gaam noraebang and dropped a G among the five of us. I give this place to close down in the next 6 – 8 months.

First, I agree with the other reviewers that it is super fancy and nice. But I am 3 starring due to the horribly inadequate English song selection, and for a general feeling of being in a vegas club with table service. I realize this joint is in k-town, but for the high bar they set with the décor and bathrooms, it seems ridiculous to have only a few pages out of a hundred page book of English songs(especially given I can go to any number of Korean only signaged karaōke joints that have plenty of songs). The charges are based on a drink combo here, and are the only way to pay for a karaōke room. However after doing the math it is a good deal, i.e. we ordered the bottle of crown combo(cheapest one) for $ 135 but that included 2 hrs of karaōke, 3 beers, and a nice fruit plate. That is only $ 67.50/hr and about $ 70 worth of drinks! However after about an hour in we were served chicken wings and and another dish of food we that we did not order, not sure if this was a mistake or a way to increase bill but we spoke with them and they took away the food and later redeliveried the wings on the house as they could no longer serve them. All in all, just had a very Hollywood club vibe which might be what some would prefer, but not this Unilocaler.

Pluses: bathroom in the room, fruit tray(?), elaborate décor, pretty clean, $ 3 valet Minuses: Food shows up that you didn’t order(don’t touch or you buy? — we sent it back), song selection is VERY limited, audio is weird in the room(can’t hear well), and everything is VERY expensive Maybe I’ve just been to great spots before, but this place doesn’t stack up. Even for the good, the aftertaste was that we felt scammed. Not coming back given our other options.
