Regis Salon

First time I had been to this salon since my stylist has left, a very long time ago. Maria is the one who cut, dyed and styled my hair. She was absolutely wonderful. She understood exactly what i wanted, the cut was perfectly adapted to the shape of my face, the color, perfect again, I came in with ugly, shapeless, straw like hair and came out feeling like a million bucks, with shiny, bouncing hair and a contemporary haircut. I know when I wash my hair and style it myself it won’t look the same, but a good cut is just that, good, and it will show regardless of my worthless efforts. Thank you Maria, who was, on top of being a good stylist, kind and interesting to chat with.

Normally I love Regis Salons. When I lived in Texas I absolutely was devoted to my stylist. When I moved to LA I came to this salon. My first cut and color was «ok.» But I was still loyal so I decided to try them again. I made an appointment for 9am. I was there at 9am. The mall doesn’t open until 10am. The guy takes someone ahead of me (apparently) and is hands deep in her hair giving her a shampoo. He has the audacity to tell me that he’s running 15 minutes behind and he will call me. I made this appointment on Wednesday. I know how long color can take. I ask for the earliest appointment for that reason. It’s now 9:15 and I still haven’t heard from him. Terrible service. I’m so angry I could spit nails. The least he could have done was tell this woman to wait. I was on time. They confirmed the appointment the day before. I just don’t get it. Almighty dollar winning out over service? Probably. There goes a customer.

Don’t get the conditioning treatment here. It does the opposite effect here. Plus the guy who worked here kept trying to sell me products after 30 times of saying no thank you. You can go somewhere a lot nicer and pay half of what you pay here.

I was recommended to Kevin after a horrible experience at Carlton in the Westside pavilion. He made up for my bad experience and more! He really took his time and paid attention to detail and I walked out looking and feeling like a million bucks! Not only did he do an AMAZING job on my hair but he made me feel so comfortable like I was trusting a friend. I won’t let anyone touch my hair ever again! I’m so happy I found him, he is a truly talented. Thank you Kevin!

I definitely recommend going to Natalie at this salon! She does an AMAZING job and has so much patience on getting the end results that you want. I brought my two aunts visiting from another country and she made them look amazing with new color and hair cuts! Thanks Natalie!

Just returned from my third cut from Maria and I’m happy as a clam at high tide! She does a good job, is very professional, listens to your requests and works quickly. (I don’t like sitting in the chair a long time.) Also, the price is affordable even with the tip — much less than a trendy salon (where you frequently pay to be ignored.)

Joya did a fantastic blow out of my hair today. She is such a sweet, young girl and I am so thrilled that I found her!
She really spent a lot of time and care giving me what I wanted.
She is a great addition to the team!

The manager contacted me and tried to resolve the issue. I guess that’s good.

Got my hair done here last week, by Karen Sawtelle! Best color and cut ever! She took her time, explained everything she was doing and suggested products for my colored hair. I will definitely be going back!

Like Rose D., I also had a good experience with Maria. She made me feel comfortable and welcomed. We talked about what styles and colors would be good for my face shape, in which I learned a lot.
She totally took care of me and fit me in with my crazy schedule. She was so accommodating and made the salon experience feel spa-​like: relaxing and endulging.
I ended up cutting a foot off my hair into a short layered style. Even the other stylist was WOWed by the cut and style. Maria really knows how to make you look like a million dollars! One month after the experience, I am happy with the color and cut. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it from coworkers and strangers.
I would definitely go back and ask for Maria!

I’ve been coming to Regis FOREVER! I’m always bummed out when one of my stylists leaves, but there is always someone new available who does an amazing job. I have never left Regis with a bad cut or bad experience. I always leave with a smile and an AMAZING new haircut!
I just got my hair cut by Casey over the weekend. He does such an amazing job! He listened to what I thought I needed and what I would like to change. Super understanding of my concerns and really in tune with what trends are popular. I have very long hair and I’m very cautious about taking care of it. Everyone at Regis is knowledgeable about the quality of products that should be used to keep your hair healthy.
At the end of the day, you will spend more than you would at Fantastic Sam’s or SuperCuts, but you will get the quality of care and service for the price you pay.

Came in on a Saturday and they were able to take me for a cut and color right away. Great service and reasonable prices. They always have a sale on products too. I will definitely be coming back.

I hate giving bad reviews… Especially when it’s about a particular individual because I worry how they’ll judge themselves… But… Angela cut and highlighted my hair recently and I came out looking like a cheetah. I was mortified. Tried to get it fixed, but the damage was done. Could only use a toner to try and mellow out the bleach job. As it grows out, the whole ‘wanting to look as natural as possible’ is out the door. Chunky, not natural highlights. My haircut was also not great. Sad to say I will not be returning.

I came in for a highlight retouch and asked that she helped correct the chunky streak-​ness of my hair that the prior hairstylist had created. I asked for a more blended natural highlight and showed her a picture of what I wanted. (Which I will post)
2 mistakes and over two hours later I was finally done.
First, she had failed to retouch the front which meant another 25 minutes of retouching and shampooing.
Once that was fixed she blew dry my hair and I was appalled that it suddenly looked like I had died my hair blonde instead of retouching the highlights. She went waaay overboard! I was pretty unsatisfied with the result so she brushed darker tones into my hair to set in as she took on another customer. 25 minutes later she washed and dried my hair again. At this point my scalp was hurting and I was hungry. Not a good combination. I will post a picture of what she did and conclude that it wasn’t a goodjob.
She discounted my toner which saved me $ 10 that went towards her tip anyway. My total without tip was $ 79.
I’m pretty bummed. Even though she was nice and admit that a hair stylist can’t always do well every time because every persons hair is different and it creates somewhat of a guessing game… she is an expert colorist and teaches people how to color hair. So what happened?! I would not return to this regis again. =(

The stylist was willing to work me in, and I think he stayed late. I did appreciate that. The cut was good considering he did it at a pretty decent pace. The style isn’t my favorite or otherwise it would be 5 stars. It is probably my fault for not giving him more to go by. I’m also not used to paying fifty for a men’s cut. It seems to be on the high side.

This place use to be my favorite. I wrote it a glowing review a few months back. However, today I have to say it has lost its charm. I went back in looking for a hair cut and a color from ANDREA, whom is discussed highly in all of the reviews about this place. She was not there any longer. Upon inquiry I was told she had «moved» by a snooty lady at the front desk whose name began with an «E». Anyway, the point being that my NEW EXPERIENCE with this business has not been good at all. The star player moved to a different salon named Chrome and now I am no longer a client of this place. The atmosphere has changed and the fact that Unilocal keeps taking down my review of this place makes me think that once again this is not the salon for me.
In short, bad service, lost star player (ANDREA) and overall unimpressed with going to a mall for a hair cut.

Too expensive for the quality of work done at this place. My hair was pretty damaged, so I needed a good cut. I decided to try this place out because I received the half-​off coupon in the mail. I didn’t know that coupon would also apply to the quality. I received a half-​off deal, for a half-​ass job. My layers weren’t even, and there were still many split ends I could see. I didn’t bother telling the stylist because I had the coupon, so I figured I was getting what I was paying for. The cut wasn’t that bad, but it didn’t seem like much of a change for the better.
To top it off, the stylist kept shoving products in my face. After many «no thank you’s,» I had to be blunt. She also made it a point to show how much of a «deal» i was getting, by showing how much they usually charge for a simple cut (about $ 60 — $ 80 bucks).
Bottom Line — I’ve learned my lesson: never use a coupon when dealing with your hair.

3.5 stars. 4 stars for the haircut and 3 stars for the bangs.
The haircut I had before this one wasn’t so great because the stylist used a razor to layer my already fine hair, which is a huge mistake it makes the ends too thin and brittle, and as a result, I got mad split ends. Came here in hopes to reverse my previous stylist’s mistakes. The stylist at Regis saved the day by using actual scissors to cut off my dry split ends and aligned my layers so they looked more subtle and made me look like I have more hair. Yes, another mistake from my last haricut is too many layers — I looked like I had so little hair, not a good look must I say.
So the complaint is the bangs. She cut them shorter than my liking. I managed to salvage the mishap by wearing a headband to pull my bangs back for two weeks until they grew out. I was pretty satisfied with the haircut until the bangs, which took away some points.
The prices are really reasonable and the staff is friendly. I would come back for a haircut… but probably leave the bangs alone next time.

Recently got a color correction from Lana who was & is amazing! Not only does my hair look fantastic, but I was treated wonderfully & noticed that the other stylist, Jay, did the same for his clients as well. I couldn’t sing their praises enough.
