Rich is the man. As a person who’s been playing for a while, Rich figured out where I was and where I wanted to be and then gave me exactly what I was in need of learning. Great guy, great teacher. I look forward to this relationship for years to come.

Simply put, Rich is an amazing guitarist and an excellent teacher. He demonstrates, he guides, he gets to know his students and what they are looking for in a guitar lesson, and then he delivers 100 fold. I’ve been studying with Rich on and off for about eight months. He devotes at least 90 minutes to each lesson, and provides at home continued study materials and jam tracks. My lead playing has greatly improved and I am learning chord positions I never knew existed. Not only is he helping me get to the next level in my guitar playing, he’s made a number of introductions for me. He is very patient, with a kind heart and immense talent, which he shares freely with his students. You or your child will certainly get your money’s worth, and have a great time while learning. I highly recommend Rich.

Richard is both patient and knowledgable. He is a playing encyclopedia of songs. If you want to improve on guitar, sit in with Richard. He will help make it happen.

Richard is a patient, excellent teacher and the prior positive reviews appear to be accurate. My mother was a concert cellist and I lack her musical skills but have a good time with the guitar in any event.

So far Richard has been great, my son is learning to play guitar. Richard is very passionate about guitar. I’m happy he gives homework on the subject. I have never really been into music and my children are the opposite. I can only play the triangle! And probably the kazoo. He’s had a couple lessons so far. I have sit in during the lesson and he has a good method, he listens to the student on what they want to play and go from there. Overall it’s the beginning but we shall see! Thanks Richard.

Rich is one of the kindest, most patient people I know — in addition to being the best musician I know. He has impeccable musical taste and is a man who lives to better his own musical skills and his students’. I’ve been under Rich’s tutelage for the past 3 years and we’ve covered every topic from music theory to the newest pop riffs. My lessons with him have consistently been the highlight of my otherwise dull week and I hope to continue learning under him for as long as possible.

Richard is very professional in his approach, generally the first lesson is free so you can evaluate his approach and also spend time telling him more about your goals. He has been teaching my 13 year old son for the past 3 months. I really like that he spends an hour and a half with my son, and is able to make the lesson fun and educational. He is not the type of teacher that looks at his watch, in contrary, he always spends extra time with my son, and I do appreciate that. He assigns homework for my son and emails him the backing track so he can practice during the week. Honestly, you will never find a private guitar teacher that will spend an hour and a half with their student for the price he charges.

I tried Richard about a 2 years ago and should have written this before. My guitar work overall, has dramatically improved. He has a very patient style and will fill in with the most amaizing music trivia imaginable. He has been able to not only improve my technique but also enabled me to find a place with my guitar that I am happy to be in.

I started taking guitar lessons with Rich after my mom found one of his ads on a bulletin board at Guitar Center. I was 16 years old and just 8 months into playing guitar, and I specifically remember what he taught me in our first lesson and how it opened up a floodgate of possibilities with what I was interested in learning at the moment, which was soloing. From then on, Rich came to my house every week with a carefree, positive attitude that created a comfortable environment for me to learn how to play guitar; he was more than generous with his time and often brought along compelling supplemental material such as jam tracks, tab books, or video of the artists/guitarists that I was trying to emulate. The great thing about Rich is that he will give you the skills to understand and learn whatever you’re interested in, and he doesn’t have some carbon copy lesson plan for every student. As of today, I’ve been playing guitar for 8 years and I’ve had a few fine guitar teachers after him, however none of them could’ve given me the same opportunity to freely explore what I wanted to learn about guitar, or music in general, as Rich did. I would recommend him to anybody!

My son started taking lessons from Rich when he was about 13 years old and continued weekly for the next 3 years. Rich came to the house, was patient and calm and passionate about music. He would spend extra time discussing music, getting to know my son’s musical interests and picking songs that would keep my son interested. Rich’s prices are reasonable and i would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play, young or old.
