Cheap and tasty eats. Can’t go wrong with burgers and fries. Service isn’t great, but I can see why it wouldn’t be. I feel table service would create more motivation for employees so they can gain higher tips. But who am I to change a tradition? They also have the best French toast served till 11am which I just missed while writing this review.

This review is for My awful experience yesterday afternoon about 3:30pm. I have been a customer here for about 8 years. My Son went to Marshall HS and we always are here after home games. When ever I need a quick homemade soup for my elderly, Ill mother, I make a quick run to Rick’s. I have Never had a problem or been so disrespected like I was yesterday. I ordered a grill cheese and the Chicken Vegetable soup to go. Pretty simple, right? No way. I hung around the counter figuring this would take only a couple of minutes. I literally saw the small white bag come up on the Window. The large lady Whom I fou d out is named«Narda» looked at the ticket. Put it back in the bag, bag back on the window. I asked her if that was a grilled cheese? She said«I don’t know», How do you not know, you literally just looked at the ticket? Can you please check it, it’s just a soup and grilled cheese. She responded«I’ll ask someone to check» What? Meanwhile she is sucking on her drink and chewing food. Hello, stop eating and drinking In Front of paying customers who keep you employed and get the damn Soup out! 15 min later I ask the Cashier about my order, yup, my grilled cheese still sitting there, no soup. The cashier was actually working! Had customers and was genuinely sorry, she asked another worker to get me a soup she said OK. This lady was also working hard to take orders out to customers. That Narda person had a friend come in asking about a half order of Onion rings, she told the cashier«I got it, don’t charge her». Double WTF? She walks to the kitchen and comes out with a tray of onion rings walks them over to this lady. But still can’t get my soup??? Unbelievable!!! I got my soup(25min. Later) from the other lady(short hair) who apologized. I confronted Narda and told her you are standing around, pacing, eating, drinking while everyone else is working, You go to the kitchen to get your friend free food, but can’t get my soup? She said«oh well, tell the manager» and walked away laughing. This Employee is Unproductive, Unprofessional, Unacceptable! Fire her and give the other employees who actually work a .50 cent raise. You will save money and reward those who care about your business. Clearly she is not an asset. P. S. Food is always good here.

I live less than a mile from ricks and basically grew up on it. I remember spending a lot of time afterschool and munching on the delicious chili cheese fries. But things change. For 1 I will NEVER go thru the drive thru as it will ALWAYS take 20⁄30 minutes. Never will it be quick. I once waited at the window for 15 minutes for 2VANILLA shakes. SERIOUSLY15 minutes for 2 vanilla shakes. The workers have no care nor respect. The girls are always feisty and are mad dogging everyone. Rarely do I not get some kind of attitude. I understand your busy and miserable but please don’t push it on the customers. The food rarely disappoints but with shitty slow service time after time, the food doesn’t become worth it. 2 stars because their burgers and chili cheese fries are REALLY good.

I still come here almost every week because it’s so good! This past time I went I ordered a turkey burger(I always do) and there was 2 very hard things in it idk what it was but my teeth couldn’t even break it. Felt hard like a rock. Please examine them. I have no idea what it was but it was two of them. Small but hard.

I will drive the 6.2 miles for that bacon and egg breakfast sandwich. Yes, the drive through takes a little long and their busy when you don’t want them to be but that’s what happens when your bacon is succulent!

In the ever changing landscape of Los Angeles eateries where eateries literally pack up and move in a matter of minutes, Rick’s has remained a beacon. For the last decade at Rick’s, I’ve been able to consistently enjoy the kind of breakfast burrito most food trucks aim to deliver without feigning authenticity. Rick’s dependability is a fine example of what it means to start a business in America, to dig in and really become engrained in community without moving all over the city in an effort to extract easy dollars from the next crowd or scene.

Been coming to Ricks for about 6 years and it’s been slowly going down hill. 10.54 for a blt combo, what? But, that wasn’t the worst part. The drive– thru girl forgot my coke and I asked if I can have my drink, she rolled her eyes at and started giving me a dirty lookm. Lousy food and customer service and I paid 10.54 for that. Maybe the owner should be at the restaurant supervising and not trolling Unilocal for negative reviews about his restaurant.

Love this place. My favorite burger joint. They always offer ranch with my order. Enough said. Love the fries.

OK if you’re passing by, kind of hungry and in need of a basic meal like cheeseburgers and fries. Maybe not the norm, but me and my wife’s stopover eventually began to feel like a biker stop. kind of feels like being in the middle of nowhere; a desert diner on a roadtrip.

I write this review very saddened because Ricks is a local please we loved to go eat but today was just awful not only did they forget to pack the steak sandwich we ordered to go along with our grilled cheese and Asada fries but when eating a bit of the Asada fries I came across a very hard object. confused I spit it out and came to find A NAIL… is this a human nail? A chicken nail? I don’t know but I am upset, &DISGUSTED!!! I called immediately to explain the situation, the staff asked me to bring the food back and of course receive a refund for both the steak sandwich they forgot to give us and the Asada fries. At this point I don’t care about a refund this isn’t sanitary at all & I am beyond disappointed I was hungry and now my appetite is ruined.

Apparently they can just close early when they don’t feel like working. Literally 20 minutes until they close and they shut the whole place down and the girl at the counter ignored my every attempt to get her attention. It’s one thing if you want to ignore me because you’re actually closed but to ignore me because you decided to close early is annoying.

The girl at the counter didn’t give a rats ass about my order, she just took off while i was in the middle of my sentence to do something else… and even though a few minutes later we started all over again, she got it wrong. not a bad burger, but it sucks when you get it to go and when you realize it’s the wrong food and it’s too far to go back. they have distracted teenagers doing the work… but you are paying too much for that kind of bad attention. i’m pretty much all for a family business, unless the kids just don’t care. the second time they screwed up, i remembered to check my bag about a mile down the road… this time i took the time to turn around and give them a ration of shit! that was a good burger, but since then i’ve had much better experiences at Patra Burger which is closer to my place anyway.

Hungry for breakfast. Where to go? Astro Burger across the street(been there done that) or Ricks. I live for adventure and ventured into Ricks. There is no table service. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Had traditional breakfast. 2 eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns. Everything was cooked just the I like it. The staff is super friendly. This is a local hangout for people who live here in these neck of the woods. Bacon was meaty and soft. Eggs perfectly cooked(Gordon Ramsey eat your heart out) and hash browns were just what you would expect in a neighborhood diner.

I have to admit that I avoided Rick’s for months because of the ugly clip art on their signs, but I’m glad I got over it. Their tuna melt is so so good. Not sure if everyone would approve of the amount of mayo(guys — it’s A LOT of mayo) but I think it’s delicious. To commiserate with the lower-starred reviews, yep, it’s a(really) weird building, it’s not sparkling clean, some of the menu items are not my favorite, and obviously they don’t use organic free range grass fed beef. It’s a drive-thru diner — you should not be expecting gourmet ingredients. What they do use is just fine for the price. I don’t understand the complaints about service — the ladies who work here are nice and I’ve never had a problem with my order. I never use the drive-thru; maybe it’s best you take a few extra minutes to go inside if you want good service. btw I know this has nothing to do with my experience here but they sell shirts and they’re awesome.

Went here for a late night munchie-quench and just ended up with sadness. Okay maybe that’s a little bit of an exaggeration, but my entire order was wrong. Wrong burgers and wrong sides. And by wrong I don’t mean that they got one ingredient wrong out of a special order, but that the whole thing was wrong. Did I still eat it? Yes. It was okay. The onion rings were very dry and tasted like batter or flour. The fries were mediocre. The pastrami burger(not what I ordered) wasn’t half bad, but it was also quite dry. I’ll probably stumble here again at some point in the future and give it another shot, but this experience sure won’t be the reason why.

Yea! Not a fan at all. Not sure what they are serving here but not worth the time or value. My message is clear! Stay away.
