A small business, aka Matrix Livescan, located in the underground level of the Equitable Building. We got a document notarized here. Just walked in without an appointment and got it done on the spot for a fair price. They also do passport/ID photos, Livescan fingerprints, and photocopies. Parking tip: You can get 2 hour free parking if you park in the lot of the City Center on 6th St, adjacent to the Equitable Building acccessible from the 2nd floor entrance of the City Center by the food court. Just have lunch or get a beverage from one of the restaurants inside the mall to get your ticket validated(or patronize any of the stores there — I believe they all give 2 hour validation if you buy something).

Stopped by to see if I could get something notarized. I was really surprised to see several people here during lunchtime because I’ve never really seen people in here before. After waiting around for 5 minutes(not even being greeted), I walked inside to ask the lady how long she expected to be tied up for. I said I would come back later, but ended up not because I decided against getting my document notarized. She was friendly and did answer my questions about passport renewal which was quite helpful. Notary service is $ 10. They also do passport photos as well as Livescan, but I’m not sure about the prices. I’m sure I’ll probably end up coming here for random things because it is in the lobby of my work building, but I wouldn’t ever go out of my way to come here.

Studio? More like a underground dealing joint. Not only is the place a total mess, but the lady(short and chubby lady) was utterly rude(even to my mom!) and undeserving of my business. Yes, my whoppin’ $ 16 bucks! But I was in a rush(lunch hour) and I didn’t know where else to go close by. So I went by referral. They do Livescan fingerprinting, passport photos, and notary public. They don’t validate so you have to either pay $$$ to park in the structure or find street parking. I usually want to support the local small businesses, but that’s b/c they are usually more attentive and down to earth and I like try and keep the small mom and pop shops ALIVE! NOT this place! I guess she gets enough regular business to not want mine.
