This place is everything one could desire in a taco stand. Simply put: incredibly amazing! Every taco I’ve had has been deliciously marinated and cooked to perfection. Now you may ask, why come all the way out to East LA for a taco? Well upon tasting grilled perfection on a corn tortilla, your mind will be expanded into a world of Mexican culinary goodness. The best part of all, each taco is only a dollar each. Top that off with an icy large horchata costing only two dollars, you will have a delicious, cheap, and most importantly filling meal for only 5 – 7 $. Sadly though they are only open Thursdays-Sunday. Suggested food– Carne Asada Trippas– make sure to get this crunchy!!! Al Pastor is a safe option The other meats are delicious but nothing compared to the carne asada. They offer a variety of salsas and other toppings so you can create your own unique and preferred flavor.

After 3 stops we had one more plan for this evening of taco adventures. Our last stop was to be a taco truck but we were on the look out for another rogue taco stand and our efforts were rewarded on the corner of Whittier Bl and Albertine St. Another brightly lit taco stand hopping with patrons. The lady taco chef took our orders and made us feel at home. Her tacos were seeped in robust sauce. I think my favorite here was her Suadero tacos but it was her tortillas that she served that was the highlight of this stand. Next time? Hopefully she will be around at our next Taco Crawl — 2012. Happy New Year.
