I don’t eat meat. My empanada was supposed to be caprese but it was beef and onion or something. I don’t push my beliefs on others but to me its a big deal, thanks to their carelessness I got a mouth full of dead cow. Thanks. I called to complain they offered to comp the empanada. I’m not pissed about the two bucks I’m pissed I ate meat! What if it was an allergy their mistake could have hurt someone. Aside from that hornswaggling the pizza was overpriced and soggy(I had the veggie). Oh and the delivery guy went next door first on accident and pissed off my neighbor his dogs were going nuts. All in all a cluster@&$! Would have been three stars without the empanada fiasco.

I tried to order from this place tonight. The guy answered the phone ‘Pizza Hut’ — I questioned him, he insisted it was Pizza Hut. I hung up and redialed, although I was thoroughly confused. It happened again(the man answered the phone ‘Pizza Hut’). When I said ‘Pizza Hut?’ the man on the other side of the phone then said I had imagined entire thing and that he had answered the phone ‘Roma Specialty Pizza’ which sounds NOTHING like Pizza Hut and would have been pretty amazing for me to mix up — TWICE. He then back tracked and said ‘the second time I didn’t say Pizza Hut’(which he did but this pretty much is an admission that he owned up the first time.) I hung up but on a really curious impulse called again, another guy answered the phone, correctly this time. I said ‘So this is Roma Pizza?’ he then told me without even seeing if I was the previous caller that I had imagined the whole thing. I imagine it’s just some goofball playing a joke, but still — I went ahead and ordered from Pizza Hut since they were so hot to sell it to me. Edited to add the comment that was just posted on this review: Claudio M. Comment from Claudio M. of Roma Specialty Pizzas Business Owner 6÷15÷2016 This is too funny!!! I answered the phone, me the owner, you think I would turn business down? You call 4 times and keep saying«hi pizza hut» and I keep telling you this is NOT pizza hut, I really don’t even know what to say to you… so I guess thanks for the laughs? It happened repeatedly, it wasn’t imagined. It’s not too big a deal — you’re losing my once a month pizza order but play this game enough, you’ll lose a lot of orders.

Stopped in here for a slice today. I originally asked for two, Claudio the owner, warned me that they’re huge New York slices and talked me down to getting one instead. Then we found out that their credit card min is $ 5.00 so I had to end up getting two. Took a bit for the slices to be ready, about 10 minutes. Got home and ate them. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The crust is very good but the cheese seems of very low quality and the sauce has more of a pasta taste to it then a pizza taste, possibly over seasoned to make up for the cheese taste. I’d go back for the friendliness of Claudio alone, however, as a native east coaster I do hope they find a different cheese supplier and get a better quality product. It just wasn’t super amazing like I hoped but maybe that’s just my taste. Either way I’m giving them a solid 3.

Wow!!! I literally was just left speechless by the incredible service Roma just provided. My delivery order came wrong and Roma immediately offered to drive back and correct the order. The food was delicious and overall a great experience. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

It was good! Delivery was EARLY, which is far better than late. But it was also a Thursday night. We ordered a large sausage, mushroom, olive, and roasted red pepper pizza. It was very good, if a bit wet. The prices are reasonable. We’ll order from here again as finding passable pizza is difficult in West LA(a complete mystery!).

nope. so excellent when they opened but popularity hasn’t been good for them. the past 3 pizzas have been terrible. most recently just swimming in sauce and liquid and the cheese not even cooked all the way, sliding off. really bad.

My fiancé and I ordered here after a terrible experience at another pizza spot. This pizza was good and hit the spot — nothing to write home about but definitely did the trick. We ordered a medium sausage and green pepper pizza — the crust was nice and crunchy but the sauce could have used a little more spices.

Not only is their pizza delicious and fresh but their customer service is on point as well! This wknd I ordered a large veggie pizza that arrived under cooked in the center. A message the business and they called me within 10 minutes and redid my order with no questions asked thank you so much!

We’ve ordered pizza and wings a couple of times and everything is delicious! The bbq wings are the best. Unfortunately I can’t give the 5 stars because delivery takes sooo long. Every time it’s way more than the estimated time… like starving late. I noticed someone said they’re always on time but I sadly can’t say the same.

A good go to for some pizza and wings. The trio Roma sandwich is amazing a great choice as well. Waaaaaaaay better than fresh brothers in marina del rey.

Be careful using the Unilocal app to order the wings. I ordered the mild sauce initially and it did not register– so I had a tin of sauceless wings delivered to me for dinner. Luckily I called and they remedied the issue, their customer service is polite and they were prompt about giving me tender and saucy wings to remedy the situation. If you’re eyeing the tiramisu I would skip on that, it’s frozen. This place specializes in pizza and the pizza I did happen to order was heavenly. The crust is thin and savory, I would order this pizza again but not the tiramisu.

Great food all the time… especially at 2:30. One time I had an order issue and Claudio was all over it. Good food, great staff.

I was very disappointed by today’s order from Roma Specialty Pizza. It was my first time ordering from here, it was recommended by a friend. The delivery took an hour and the pizza arrived cold by a driver who smelled of cigarettes. Aside from the pizza being cold it was made with very little cheese and the crust was burnt. I gave it 2 stars and not one because they were able to make my order correct.

Average at best. Not much better than a chain fast food pizza. The sauce is ok but the crust is a factory style crust that must have come in a truck frozen. No love in the food here it’s just fill you up style like dominos. The wings are average too. C or C– What I don’t get is with MV being a hot area and lots of biz nearby, why not make a good pizza? Charge a few bucks more and actually try? If you want better pizza hit up the Coop on Palms. This is like papa johns no soul za.

I recently tried Roma Specialty Pizza after seeing it on my way home one day. This location used to house my beloved Numero Uno Pizza, so I was a little sad to see it had been replaced. My husband asked me to check the reviews and see if it looked any good(he’s obsessed with pizza, lol). It looked like it was worth a try. We called and ordered two pizzas to be delivered. The prices are pretty decent for the quality you get. We tried the American Classic which has pepperoni, Italian sausage, and mozzarella cheese. We also got the Roma Special, which has prosciutto, spinach, green olives and mozzarella. Both pizzas were very good, especially the Roma Special. My husband thought the green olives made it a bit salty, but I really enjoyed it. They warned me when I called that they were very busy and that it would take about 45 minutes for my pizza to arrive. I figured that out myself through other Unilocal reviews, so I had called earlier than we usually eat dinner in anticipation of this. I can’t wait to try the other pizzas and menu items they offer, and would recommend this place to others.

Ordered delivery. Very good pizza! Not the best I’ve «ever» had, but for West LA, it is a masterpiece. Wonderful flavors of nuanced spice(not«hot»). Delivery was prompt & pie was hot. Will Order from Pizza Roma again! Thanks guys

Roman pile-on of quality toppings. Shake on some red pepper or oregano at the end. Back story: This business was a transformation from a former Numero Uno’s, and while that was a deep dish place and this is a medium dish, I say it’s generally an upgrade for the Mar Vista community. If there were a few slips in service at the beginning of it’s opening, I think they’ve squared things out. Every aspect — dough, sauce, cheese, chunky toppings — all very good. Just don’t expect top-shelf excellence. You have to go to the expensive gourmet pizza bars for that. BTW, My favorite toppings here: Roasted Tomato and Prosciutto. #foodslut

Between being a partial NYC native, an east coast teenager, and growing up wth a old Sicilian nanny, I’ve been blessed that my diet has consisted of great pizza all my life. This is not great pizza. It’s affordable pizza that lacks taste. From the doughy lifeless crust to the bland sauce and even blander toppings, this pizza gets a 1⁄5NOMS. I must say though that service was good and that delivery was fast. Zucchini fries are actually quite good. I would come back for those and skip on the pizza. 3⁄5 Noms

Ordered my pizza online at GrubHub because they had 4 stars listed. After an hour, my pizza arrived and was horrendously burnt. I tried to eat it and it was too terrible so I called the store back and asked if they could send me a new one. They said they would(with no apology) and informed me it would arrive in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, I called back and they told me their driver was in Venice and hadn’t arrived back at the store — also, they hadn’t made my pizza yet. So, I am currently waiting for the driver to come back from his delivery so they can make my pizza and then deliver it to me. I’m guessing it’s going to be a while. The pizza was burnt, service was terrible and the time it took to arrive to me was WAY too long. Will not be trying this place again.
