The restaurant is located inside Woori Market in Little Toyko. The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty decent for the price.

The number 22 is the best ramen I’ve ever had it has a peanut aftertaste in the broth and the ramen bowls are bigger than Mr ramen I will give this place a 5 star rating and the people are so nice here

Not bad for the price. Sakura is located in the Tokyo Marketplace and is pretty much a low cost, good food operation. I’ve had the ramen before but this last trip, I tried the curry chicken & rice. Good choice! I love mixing the curry sauce with the rice and starting with the chicken first. At Sakura, you order first and then they call your number when the order is ready. You’re on your own for seating but you can also pick up some sushi next to the them and make it a combo!

My first time coming here since my friends were craving for Japanese food! This little place which is inside a Korean market in J-town is cool! It was cheap, fast, & good! Ordered the shrimp tempura udon with a croquette which was delish! Broth of the udon was flavorful & not salty at all like at some places. Tried the beef curry rice that my friend ordered which wasn’t bad! I would definitely come back to Sakura Noodles & try other food items on their menu! The only con is that they charge .50 for take out which is unfortunate.

I’ve eaten at this place twice in the past two days. I was working a gig down the street and walked over. Menu items include chicken/beer and rice, ramen, dumplings, tongkatsu, croquette, kimchi etc. Overall, it is dependable food. It won’t wow you, but won’t disappoint. Food is made to order and they charge 50 cents for take out. Dine in is on reusable dishes.

Extremely affordable japanese food here! This whole Japanese market is run by Koreans, it’s probably the most Korean Japanese Store I have been to. You can get a huge bowl of ramen for under $ 5!!! That is impossible in any other part of los angeles! Yah yah it’s inside a food court of a japanese market, but it’s really hard to find parking and affordable japanese food in down town. This place offers 2 free hours of parking and there are many other yummy food options. Credit card minimum is $ 10.

Fast, inexpensive and sufficient for a noodle fix in this part of Little Tokyo. Sakura Noodles is part of a food court section of the supermarket, directly on the left side as you walk in from the garage. You can get an hour free parking validated with purchase. Beef udon soup was a decent portion. Noodles were nicely springy and what I expect for standard udon. My friends said the takoyaki(deep-fried octopus fritters) was okay. Atmosphere? There is none. You are eating at an entrance of some Asian market. Bus your own tables. Watch people walk by with groceries. Bliss Bakery, to the right side of Sakura, looks interesting. There’s a sushi counter I really want to try in another section of the store, as it’s supposed to offer great deals on quality fish. I’ll seek it out next time, when not in as much of a rush.

typical japanese food done by koreans(which is more often the case than not in LA these days). everything we’ve ordered is decent for what you need. the fried rice actually tastes a little like legit japanese cha-han(except for the bean sprouts). ***update 11−12−15 Ughhh the fried rice hasn’t gotten less japanese tasting… its lost its light buttery flavor and now is just blah.

I used to like this place before I tried other restaurants around Little Tokyo. They give a generous serving of ramen for a good price but for some reason, the food here doesn’t feel authentic. They sell Takoyaki(a snack I’m very familiar with) under the title of «Taco“yaki. And, it’s not the type of Takoyaki that’s made from a maker; it’s deep fried frozen ones that you can buy from the market this restaurant is in! The price you buy 6 pieces for is basically the cost of one bag of 20 pieces? Whenever I’m lazy to deep fry my own Takoyaki or when I’m looking for some cheap ramen I come here to buy some casually.

Located inside Little Tokyo Market Place are two restaurants both fast food with seating in back of the grocery area. This place is definitely cheap eats but you get what you pay for. I’ve come here for hot soba noodles which are just okay and for $ 4, it’s not bad. The ordered a chicken katsudon which was a bit on the bland side and also not chicken, was pork. Someone’s mistake in the kitchen. I didn’t bother me and needed a quick meal. Katsudon lacked love with limited sweet soy and onions and just a tiny amount of red ginger. If you’re on the run, it’s an okay place to have lunch. One hour validation with purchase.

This place has been around for ages. I came by here often but under new management and some of their new menus, I come here only for the Hiyashi Chuka.(Cold Ramen) It’s so tasty and I couldn’t think of any other Ramen place that serves Hiyashi Chuka this good. I was surprised to get something of this quality from this restaurant since other dishes are just plain okay and I’ve tried most of their menus. The garnishes, sauce, and the noodle is just textbook perfect and the cost is pretty hard to beat. If you’re into Cold Ramen, I definitely recommend this place to give it a try.

There’s not much to say here really. A Korean-run Japanese food stand with average prices and sub par flavor, combined with meager portions and rushed, brusque service. Nothing tastes fresh, it all tastes like it came from a box of poor quality pre-made sauce and broth. This figurative cake full of mediocrity is topped off by a thick frosting layer of failure– a $ 0.50 charge for every item to go makes dining here feel like being held prisoner, plus a lot of inaccuracies in terms of taking orders. I wanted chicken curry rice and was missing one of those things. No chicken in my to go order, and no courtesy means I’m never coming back here, and if you haven’t been yet, don’t bother. They won’t even validate parking.

This place is located at the back of the grocery store. I almost always forget that this grocery store has 2 small restaurants to buy food. The first time I ate here, I ordered the miso ramen. Miso ramen is so not for me. I didn’t enjoy it but it is miso ramen and it was ok. It was my first time eating ramen so I was going for something familiar to me. My friend ordered the shio ramen and it was delicious! That was years ago. Yesterday, after gaining years of experience in eating quality ramen throughout LA, my boyfriend tried the shoyu ramen. The broth was delicious and flavorful. The noodles are too thin for my taste, but comparable to other restaurants. The ramen gets the thumbs up from me. I had the takoyaki here and while I don’t exactly enjoy octopus, it was delicious and the presentation was wonderful, which is something so important in Japanese culture. The food here is really good for the price. The price is the best! The portions are huge too! I saw someone order the curry rice and it was practically spilling. Definitely a good way to fill your tummy for cheap. Next time, I want to order the katsudon or curry rice! Oh, they validate parking too!

This place is located in the market in the little tokyo galleria. I wanted a quick bite to eat and got some miso soup and dumplings. Everything was really cheap. Plenty of space to sit and eat and you can order some macaroons and pastries from the bakery within the market. There is a parking lot for the galleria. It requires validation from any of the stores inside. A purchase from a store gives you a free hour of parking so you can add up hours with validation from different stores.

This is without a doubt my favorite Ramen place in little tokyo. The prices are awesome. The portions are humongous. There is free parking with validation. You can get beard papa after for dessert. I always get the pork belly Ramen. So so good! definitely share if you don’t eat much. I couldn’t even eat half. their takoyaki is okay… bit undercooked. I also like to buy a small sashimi plate from the market right next to it. You get all the goodness of Japanese cuisine for a cheap price. Skip daikokuya and the line and come here.

This is located inside the Little Tokyo Galleria Shopping Center right by the Woori Market. It changed owners a few years back(now Korean owned?), but the food and menu is still relatively the same. The menu board got a facelift and looks a looks a lot newer and cleaner. They have mostly Japanese eats, but also a few Korean dishes. Food averages from $ 4-$ 8 and consists of ramen, soba, udon, somen, curries, and other small dishes(croquette, takoyaki, tempura, etc.). Typically when I come, I order the Tonkatsu Ramen, Potato Croquette, and Curry. The Tonkatsu ramen is decent. It lacks some flavor, but the broth is very light and clean. For under $ 6 a GIANTBOWL, you get plenty of noodles and bean sprouts. It’s definitely not the best ramen, but for the price… IT’S A HELLOF A DEAL. I love their croquettes and takoyaki as well. The croquette is perfectly crispy with a soft potato center, and the takoyaki is delicious! The curry is pretty standard Japanese curry. The rice is always slightly hard and sticky, but it’s tasty none the less. There is plenty of seating, and you can even buy sushi bento boxes from Woori Market and dine here. The tables are typically dirty all the time, but you can always do a quick wipe down. Self service water and table cleanup– return your dirty bowls to the counter! Cheap, fast, and decent food.

Decidedly utilitarian food-court quality food inside of Little Tokyo Marketplace. I pass by this place and neighboring Boong Uh Town basically every time I check out during my ~weekly Asian-food run downtown. It’s always one of those places that seems strangely tempting when you’re hungry but remains pretty unappetizing otherwise. I know I’ve eyed their steamed buns more than once on the way out around dinnertime. I ordered a chicken curry rice dish and found it pretty par for the course. A big pool of curry sauce with a pretty pathetic serving of deboned thigh meat and a mound of white rice. For $ 7 you could certainly do better, but it served its purpose of filling me up so that I wouldn’t be tempted to buy everything in the store while grocery shopping.

I’ve eaten here and there at this hole-in-the-wall since the early 90s, back when the center shopping it was located in was called«Yaohan». Great, now I’m depressed … I *can’t* be that old already … :-( Anyway, the quality of service seems to have gone downhill over the years(and I could swear the portion sizes have slowly been shrinking), but I think the food is still pretty decent … at least for the money. Make sure you tell the cashier whether or not you want the food packaged to go, because they apparently won’t always take the initiative to ask you, and may sometimes just assume you are planning to eat on the spot. Their menu item pricing is inexpensive, and the food is generally prepared pretty quickly. Self-serve ice water is on tap next to the cash register and condiment/utensil tray. I’m most fond of their beef udon and tempura udon, but I also like their croquettes, as well as the various rice and curry rice options. Seating can be difficult to obtain if you come here during busier hours. Last I checked, parking in the adjacent lot was free for the first hour, and I believe getting your parking ticket validated at the supermarket gives you an additional hour of free parking.
