Just found this place while searching for architectural salvage. Don’t know how I missed it before. Very convenient location with lots of street parking. Very interesting collection of furniture and decorative things. Prices seem in line with neighborhood. Selena was friendly and showed me the storage area(probably a stable originally) filled with great pendant lamps and furniture. Easy to walk thru.

wonderful curatorial eye, fair prices, helpful without being obsequious, and a fantastic shop cat named Miette.

Very nice people. They have some amazing antiques to check out. Lamps, chairs, fans, album crates, tables, etc. Good find off the beaten path.

Love this place! Lots of fantastic items. The owners(and kitty) are genuine, warm and extremely likable! They even can make custom prices out of salvaged materials, preserving the character and history of the past. Love to support local small businesses. Doesn’t get better than that!

I stopped by Salvare Goods in the evening to meet with the owners to notarize some documents for them. The vibe was warm and welcoming when I arrived, not just because of the beautiful antiques but because of the lovely store owners. Be sure to check out the unique and awesome air plant/sea urchin skeleton planters that look just like jellyfish. The owner makes them and they’d make a perfect gift! I love mine and frequently receive compliments on it. Convenient location just off 5 and 2 freeways. I’ll definitely be back!

GREATPLACE! GREATPEOPLE! Shopped at their previous store several times in the past two years. They have always been super friendly and open to negotiating when they can. Their prices are lower than several other similar shops and they always make a point of carrying some items that are inexpensive so I never have to leave empty handed ;-) Sorry Sienna had a bad experience. Mine couldn’t have been more opposite. It is definitely my favorite salvage store. I just wish they were still in the neighborhood!

This store has an incredible selection of vintage finds and home goods. The owners are knowledgeable, and their prices are far lower than any other salvage store in this city. They are friendly and aim to please. From light fixtures to door knobs, doors to medicine cabinets, they have packed their space with impossibly hard-to-find treasures. The store is easy to access and parking is a breeze. I am pleasantly surprised that I find something unique and wonderful each and every time I visit Salvare, and am thankful it’s in Silverlake!

Fabulous store filled with all sorts of unique salvage /antique /oddball items. The things I’ve bought from them(used to shop at their old store Silver Fox on Cesar Chavez) are among my favorite possessions! So glad to have them back again, closer to home, and in an even better location. Don’t miss the warehouse room out back, down the stairs — so many treasures, and worth the trip just to see the cool old building!

MAGICAL. I went in yesterday and was really impressed with the selection. Their prices are surprisingly reasonable. They have everything from small hardware to statement lighting, to handblown glass, door knockers, chairs… it’s very fun to go through. The couple who co-own it obviously have the eye and experience. This is not some hipster jumble shop. They couldn’t have been nicer and they offered to negotiate on what they could. The front retail space is small-ish but it’s filled very densely without being clausterphobic or awkward. Some great architectural pieces and amazing display cases. The back is more of a storage area, but it is open to customers and I saw treasures hidden in there. I’ve learned they were previously named Silver Fox in another location, but I didn’t know that store. I’m so excited they’re in Silverlake or I wouldn’t have found them! Parking was no problem– all along Riverside or on either side of the block. Reading an earlier review was nothing like what I found there. I think it’s best to support small and local businesses without chiseling away at their prices or later buying what’s discovered in their shop online after leaving the store. Much less bragging about it! Their proximity will be dangerous for me, but my home will more beautiful for it!

I feel bad that this review will be one of the first, but I have to be honest about my experience. I get long winded, so if you don’t like to read here’s the short version: –OVERPRICED and unwilling to haggle –NOT A GOODPLACEFOR A DEAL, but great for pretentious hipsters –Small selection that is hard to look through –Polite until you ask for a more reasonable deal, then they get RUDE and standoffish. LOCATION: All street parking– not hard to find but awkward to park and cross street since it’s very busy. Down the street from HOME in S. Lake SELECTION: Meh. The front store has some really cool things, but nothing that stood out as something we had to have, and DEFINITELYNOTHING that stood out as a good deal. The back area is the warehouse, but its really just a small room with super dusty things crammed inside. It’s kind of in order, but it’s hard to sift through and even harder to see in the dim lighting. CUSTOMERSERVICE: We were able to find a couple of cage style lamp cover/guards that we liked. We took them back to the front to check the price. The store owner, or owner’s wife we aren’t sure, was very polite at first and had no problem checking the price for us. She came back 5min later and said $ 24 for the 2… I asked for a more reasonable price of $ 20 for both and she responded by saying«well I’m not sure…» then sat down at her desk and began typing something on the computer. We figured she was checking to see if she could take them for $ 20 so we stood and waited. Another 5min later she looked up at me as if wondering why I was there and said«Yeah? Oh so do you want them?» I asked again about the 2 for $ 20 deal and she said she paid $ 10 each for them… so no. She could have told me that before and we would have left! BTW: we found them online for $ 3 each. maybe she should have Googled that while she left us hanging
