Sam’s Tacos

Really good food. The Super Nachos are awesome! The only reason why I’m not giving it a 5 star is because they charge you extra if you pay with a card debit/​credit. So bring cash if you don’t want to pay that extra fee.

PROS:
— THE TACOS ARE PACKED WITH MEAT and i like my tacos meaty!
— You also get a little package of cucumber on the side.
— Really good customer service and my food came out quick.
CONS:
— They charged $ 1.50 for debit/​credit card. WHY??? T_​_​_​_​_​_​T (That’s the price of a taco)

The food was very fair priced and tasted good. Generous portions. The woman behind the counter was helpful. Outdoor seating was in the shade which helped a lot on this very hot day.

This place sure surprised Me ! Their super burritos are So Worth it ! Full of Meat, Rice with corn just the way i like it, Beans, Avocado, Tomato, Lettuce, & Sour cream ! SUPER !! My Boo Loves the Tortas. The Lady is very nice :) i love when people give good customer service.

Given, this place doesn’t look like a 5 star restaurant, you can tell that this food is straight from the soul of Boyle Heights. Sam’s Tacos has multiple items to choose from but I personally go for the trademark Super Fries that they have there. Whenever I am too lazy to go somewhere (which is most of the time) I go to Sam’s for my needs

I’ve been going to 24 hours for about 20 years I know this place is owned by same owner he should shut this place down !!!
The food is always dry or Taste old ;(
Even 24 hours hasn’t been that great the last couple of years it seems as if the cut down on portions and using good ingredients ??? I have talked to the owner and spoke to him about my concerns let’s see if he does anything about it?

I work about 5 minutes from this stand and I was tired of all the food around here. I always drive past this place and never thought of stopping. So on my lunch I stopped to pump some gas on 4^th and Soto and was wondering what the heck to eat since I was pretty hungry. So I decided to stop at Sam’s tacos and after a very quick glance at the small menu I ended up getting the special nachos with carne asada The Nachos cost $ 7.40 which was a pretty reasonable price (the plate feeds 2 people)…ohh and after I ordered some guy got the hot dogs and they looked pretty good also. Well the nachos were good and very tasty, they come with nacho cheese, carne asada, guacamole, and sour cream.
I am now a fan of this place and will be going back soon.

Let me tell this place will surprise you! i was told by a coworker to go here and i would always pass it and wonder. i wonder no more its a tiny hole in the wall drive thru looking place but omg is it good! I redommend the carne asada/​al pastor taco plate comes with rice and beans! or burritos… al pastor quesadilla is amazing. thiey are super reasonable! the hot dog there was 99 cents and mouth watering!
the salsa is smokey and yummy! get guac and chips too! i crave sams!

I found this place on my way to my daughter’s basketball game. The menu looked appealling and the prices were low enought to feed a large family on a budget. Hell, they even accept EBT, not that I receive those benefits.
I ordered a hot dog, super nachos, and a drink. The food was satisfactory but I have had better. Overall, the food is worth the price.

This is a hole in the wall place down in East LA. The .99 cents hot dogs are really not worth the time. Get the super hot dogs that they sell for 2.60. They are wrapped in bacon, guacamole, sour cream, onions, chili sauce, jalapenos, and two types of cheese. Yum Yum!
Be warned, you will most likely get weird faces from locals ordering here if you look out of place. This is not the place to come to in your mercedes and italian suit, just FYI.

I want here on Wednesday after a morning at the hospital.
I was looking for a new Taco Shop to try beside going to King Taco.
I was driving down Soto Ave in East L.A. and saw this place on the right side.
I thought hey, this mite be a good place to try.
There was a Bum seating on one of the picnic tables outside. and i was thinking. This guy spent maybe the only dollar he had and went to this dump, it must be good.
I ordered 3 tacos. 2 Asadas and 1 chicken. and a drink $ 5.50. not bad. I was taken some pictures and the lady inside asked what was i doing taken pictures. I told her i write reviews on websites and showed her Unilocal.
It worked but it was true.
I was dressed way to good for the area. nice button-​down shirt and jeans.
As i was waiting for my tacos a couple of Spanish guys walked up and some Spanish girls. they looked at me and had a look on there face like what the Hell is this White Guy doing here ordering tacos on the street.
I just said hello how you doing and that was it. remember this is East LA. not even the cops are white.
Anyways the tacos were great. all of them came with onions and cilantro and 2 corn tortillas. drink was ICE COLD.
I’ll be going to this spot again. place there are about 10 other spots that i need to try in the area.

This is a drive thru/​walk up taco shack that serves up bang for the buck hot dogs and tacos. Their menu has a multitude of specials, for example, 10 tacos for … (I don’t recall the price.) but it was cheap.
While I waited for my order, an MTA driver pulled up and ordered a slew of hot dogs and tacos to go, he seemed to be a regular.
I ate a .99 cent grilled hot dog with mustard, ketchup, relish and onions. Not great by any stretch but not bad.
The carnitas burrito was big and plump, but not tasty. It was alright, again, not great but not bad 3.99.
It did hit the spot and they had an A rating, so that must count for something.
