Had a great meal this evening at Shades of Curry. Paneer tikka masala was delicious! Best Indian food in the area. A must visit

Naan and Pakora was really good. But I ordered the Chicken Madras with the«spicy» level(range is mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy) and it was not even mild. My friends tried it too and didn’t think it was spicy at all.

Our food was delivered on time but really lacked in flavor. We ordered channa masala and malai Kifta along with garlic naan and peas pulao. The only good part of the meal was the naan. Will look for other alternates in the area

In just a short time, since Martin took over the restaurant, it has gone from a sleepy little place to being quite busy — but no matter how busy, the service is always fast and the food is sublime! The flavors are fantastic, and unlike a lot of indian food in LA, the flavors aren’t muddy, they are crisp and fresh and create a wonderful dining experience! I take or send a lot of people here, mostly for dinner, but the lunch buffet is fantastic with a good variety. The only bad thing is that you don’t want to stop eating!

I’m glad I tried this place. I’ve been dying to find a solid Indian food place west of the 405 and I think I found it. They aren’t officially open as Shades of Curry yet(used to be Indian Tandoori), but they were cool enough to take my order and provide food from the new menu. They are making a push to have everything be organic. The food was excellent. I had the chicken tikka masala and the vegetable coconut curry. Both outstanding. My roommate thought the sauce was too buttery, but I like it that way. The garlic basil naan didn’t taste much different from regular garlic naan I’m used to, but it was still delicious. I wish they provided more rice with their combo plate. Regardless, the combo plate is an excellent deal and way too much food for one person. I had to split the meal in two. Also the service is outstanding, they gave us a free appetizer for being one of the first people to call in to order from the Shades of Curry menu(vs Indian Tandoori). Highly recommended.

Best Indian Food on the West side! Everything is sensational here– starting from the chicken masala to the spinach dishes and Indian pancakes. Yum. I’m so happy India’s Tandoori decided to specifically create a delivery service… I know they serve to huge stars all the time, so it’s such a great compliment to them. The people are so sweet and professional– a true gem. I can highly recommend it.

Amazing! Operated by the same people over at my favorite Indian food restaurant, India’s Tandoori, «Shades of Curry» provides the same great food and wonderful, friendly service. Lifetime fan! I wish I could move in!
