I love Shanghai! I’m surprised to see such bad reviews. The service is always prompt. Whenever my water is empty, someone comes and fills it up before I even ask. The lunch special is a great deal. The diamond dinner is delicious, and you get soooo much food. I love the wanton soup and double pan fried noodles! You can’t go wrong with Shanghai!

Great place to have big party; good is awesome and yummy. The food is very authentic and tasty to the point where you feel every spice and the fresh ingredients they use. Definitely give it a try it’s a great place for big parties; however make sure to get the receipts separate because sometimes I did not have the great experience for receiving the bill.

I love this place. I eat kosher and unkosher Chinese and this is my favorite(except for Plum Tree Inn in Chinatown) Best items: 1. Kung Pao Chicken white meat only 2. Garlic Chicken 3. Mooshoo chicken(although the pancakes are just bad tortillas) 4. Chicken Fried Rice with BROWNRICE 5. Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup, hot and sour soup(basically all their soup) It’s really all good if you like old school Chinese food. Just ordered it right now. Can’t wait.

Been regulars for 3 years now. Never been disappointed. We get this place once a week for delivery. 10 out of 10 every time!

Got a take out. The chicken soup was good. The Mongolian beaf did not have any taste to it. It was a last minute choice. They only have few parkings available only to their employees.

I’m surprised this place has such a low overall rating because generally I really like their food. We usually get the Shanghai dinner special and when we go with groups and two people share each one plate. It is soooooo much food that I think that’s the way to go. We still end up with leftovers and stomach aches from eating too much. It is Americanized Chinese food so there is a lot of fried deliciousness. I really like their wonton soup! There has not been one dish I have not enjoyed.

A kosher-keeping friend came to town and desperately wanted kosher Chinese food, and this was the place that everyone recommended. It’s closed on Shabbat, and doesn’t open until 7pm on Saturday nights, and they don’t take reservations for parties less than 5, so we made sure to get there right at 7. It was good timing, because by 8pm, the place was hopping. The highlight of the meal was the sizzling rice soup – chicken soup served with a huge portion of rice crispies-like rice that the waiter poured into the soup. It sizzled, which was thrilling for a second or two. :) I would definitely go back to have that again. We also ordered chicken pot stickers, Mongolian beef, and garlic chicken. It was expensive – which I guess is the reality of all kosher food – and entirely mediocre. The wines – also kosher – were pretty terrible. In fact, my friend’s Cab tasted like Manishevitz. My other friend order a Mai Tai that was cloyingly sweet. After, our stomachs all felt a little unsettled. We ate the leftovers the next day for lunch, and again – unsettled stomachs. My friend’s theory is that it’s the MSG, but I don’t know.

Good food and beautiful restaurant. The waiters were very nice and helpful and the prices are very reasonable for Kosher food.

The highlight of my day was eating at the Shanghai glatt kosher. Although the food portions were slightly small, the food was delicious. Everything is cooked to perfection and the service is great. I would definitely send all my friends here if they wanted to eat a good meal. The restaurant has a good theme and it is always full. In conclusion, all I have to say is that when you take a bite into this food wether it is chicken, beef, sushi, etc., you are really taking a bite into delight.

They are solid. Regardless of how big or small the crowd is, they always have room for us. Great food. Their sushi is the bomb. They deliver which is great when you cant go to them. I always order the King & Queen. Ask them for their lunch specials. Kung Pao Beef and Beef Lo Mein is also good.

Are you in the mood for some of the best Chinese food ever well this is awesome Chinese food but definitely not the best. Service could be a little bit better– chips appetizers re very delicious — and the spicy mustard is so yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy after all if you get more than one refill they might cry and want to charge you more as a joke. But you know what get the refill as many times as you want they say free refills. the food has so much MSG that you need all that refills. But nonetheless Chinese kosher or not this place is top notch.

Just had dinner here for the first time and everything was AMAZING!!! The food was delicious and the service couldn’t have been better. The waiters always came and checked to make sure everything was good. We got this diamond package which was great because we got soup, we got to try a few different appetizers and 2 entrees. You should definitely come here if you’re in the mood for good Chinese.

I’ve been going to this place for more than 10 years. Still the same exact menu, same exact food and same furniture. Food is pretty good, but they need to change it up a little bit, it gets boring after 10 plus years.

I visited for lunch recently for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. Don’t let the run down exterior fool you, because inside, the booths are large and comfortable and everything was spacious and clean. Their lunch specials include a selection of soups and they start you off with crispy fried wonton skins and sweet dipping sauce. I tried the fried fish fillet($ 12) and loved it. The fillet was crispy, and the sauce was tasty without being too salty. The diced veggies were nice as well. The meal came with a side of white rice. The service was friendly and speedy. I’ll be sure to return to try out more of their lunch special offerings.

I have been going here ever since it first opened. The quality of the food has generally degraded over time. My favorite dish here is the orange chicken and Wanton soup.

Their vegetable and noodle lo mein i think it was named– was a disappointment. Very tiny carrots and few. It was 98% noodle. Noodles ate cheap to buy for the business. I am not inclined to return to eat there. There are better Chinese restaurants. Fu’s Palace gives good portions. Large broccoli, carrots for example. Their noodle and vegetable dishes are large portions. Enough said.

2 stars. My party was seated right away and service was good. We ordered orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, and Mongolian beef. All of the dishes were very mediocre. The rice was more like Persian rice than Chinese rice. The sweet & sour chicken tasted more like orange chicken than the actual orange chicken dish. Service was great but after making our order the service stopped. No one came to refill our water and no one ever checked to see if we need anything else. Overall I would definitely not recommend this place. Come here for bland wannabe Chinese food and crummy service.

A Kosher Chinese restaurant. Who would have thought? I guess I won’t be asking for Pork Fried Rice though. Food quality is generally very good, however the ‘Crispy Beef’ we ordered was disappointing. Small, mealy pieces that were drenched in oil. No beef taste at all. To the restaurants credit, they took it back, and replaced it with another dish. The owner/manager was very friendly and apologetic, however our server seemed perplexed that we would send back a dish. You’d think he made it himself the way he sneered. The set menus are good value(vs. ordering ala carte).
