407 Furniture is a world class furniture design studio. I can say this because because I have acquired custom pieces over the year from ateliers in Switzerland and Italy, and found Leslie Shapiro to be in their league. Mind you, this has all been done remotely via the Internet. We have her October sectional sofa, a fine piece of poplar construction that looks as good as the day it arrived, and cushions that were so well done we recently shipped our 10-​year-​old cushions back to California (from New York City) for reupholstering. Leslie has a really fine ear (and eye) for understanding what her clients look for and can offer an array of choices that meet the mark, even stretching the design concept when she thinks something «special» will work well. Her follow-​through is excellent, as is her attention to project details, which make design projects with her a delight.

There is no finer ambassador for class and style than Leslie Shapiro’s 407 Furniture. The quality is superb, Shapiro’s designs are timeless, minimal and beautiful. Impeccably balanced, her pieces impart a zen-​like calm, an effect immediately felt when entering her show room. One of Los Angeles’ gems!
