Here’s an example of why I love(yes, love) this optometrist office: I called this afternoon because my vision was blurry in one eye. Understandably, I was concerned. Luckily, I work in the same building, so I called up and explained my predicament. With no hesitation, Dr. Fan(who got on the phone to speak with me) told me to come right up. She checked my eyes immediately and told me it was an ocular migraine… which was probably caused by the massive amounts of cheese I’d eaten for lunch. I always get excellent service when I visit. Both Dr. Fan and Dr. Lahijani are wonderful, friendly and extremely caring. Their office staff is great, too!

I can’t believe how this doctor does not have more Unilocal reviews. One of the most personable and knowledgeable doctor in all of LA. I can’t rave enough how she has helped me with my vision. I went to an eye doctor in NY and was very dissatisfied bc he prescribed the wrong contact lens. I have been having redness in my eyes and it’s pretty embarrassing when I go out of the house. Most of the time I would hide it with my dark sunglasses but now that it’s winter I can’t be wearing my sunglasses all the time. So thank goodness for Dr. Lahijani she has helped me find the perfect contact lens that needs little or no eye drops. She is patient and answers all my questions and takes the time to make sure I am comfortable and happy. I would not go to anyone else from now on. She is my eye doctor for life! Thank you Dr. Lahijani;-)

Dr. Lahijani is a Angel. She was cool, calm, attentive, and totally took her time with me; even with a waiting room full of people waiting. She answered every question I had and was so thorough. I even complemented her on it. It was so nice to find someone who loves what they do. The staff was very friendly as well. Highly recommend her. A great experience.

I have been going to Dr. Lahijani for years and have been satisfied with Dr. Lahijani’s expertise as well as her assistant’s, hence the one star. The problem with this eye clinic are the people at the front, the office manager, who we overheard asking the other person how to create a folder in yahoo… Really?! An office manager who doesn’t know how to create folders! Then, the other person tried to overcharge me when I was paying for my prescription glasses. The bill was for $ 306 and she was about to charge me $ 636. What the f***!!! The amount for each item was clearly written on the sheet of paper in front of her, she was using a calculator, and the amount she was about to charge me did not even equal double the original amount. The other girl who deals with calling you once your glasses are done called and left me a message saying our glasses are ready(me and my son got our glasses made at the same time) and left out the fact that only one eyeglasses was ready and did not know why the other one was not when asked. I had to tell her to find out. And the kicker, just so we don’t leave anyone out, the guy who fits you with your glasses messed up big time and ordered distance glasses instead of reading glasses which I need, and of course it was not transition lenses either. Of course I find this out after I had to drive in traffic which wasted an hour of my time. Is it really too much to ask that these people who you have to deal with before you get to see the doctor know what they are doing? Is it too much to ask that they use their brains? Or am I to assume they don’t have any at all that’s why they mess up big time? I miss Meldy, Dr. Lahijani’s old assistant who left. She used to handle appointments, preliminary eye check, prescription ordering, etc etc… and she was very good at it. Instead we now have to deal with complete nincompoops!

Really unsatisfied with my first time ever appointment here. Haven’t even gotten to see the doctor yet, but b/c they said I came late they do «double booking» when they have ONE doctor. So does that mean two ppl arrive at the same time, expecting to see the DR that time but b/c of this so called«double booking» what determines the other person have to wait 30 minutes later? Why even have an appointment? So fat lady in the front told me they had to take EVERYBODYELSE, then its me. I’d understand if its just the person who had an appt after me, but currently taking someone who had an appt SAMETIME as me, does that make any sense? Then its the person after me, THEN its me. Another staff also rudely coughed like on my head as I was seated when there’s no place to sit, cause it was such a mess the day I went, kids everywhere, and they let a dog inside there.

Dr. Lahijani is the optometrist you’ve been waiting for. I’ve worn glasses since I was in the third grade and she is by far the best optometrist(or eye professional of any kind) that I’ve ever seen. She has an amazing ability to communicate with the patient in precise language that is detailed but not overly technical. She is on top of the latest technology and developments in the field, and she has state-of-the-art equipment. She makes the patient feel completely at ease and comfortable(kids seem to be catered to also from the toys in the lobby). I will never go to any other optometrist. And the price is entirely affordable. Extremely happy with my experience here and have recommended her to several of my friends.

Extremely satisfied! I needed a new contact prescription because 1 – 800CONTACTS told me my five-year-old Lenscrafters prescription was expired(been dreading that). What to do? Go on Unilocal! I looked for places within a mile from my office so I could walk there and found a few that were 3.5 stars or higher(my personal Unilocal star cutoff). I called all of them to ask for their prices for a basic checkup with glasses prescription and a contact prescription(most places charge extra for this). This office was the least expensive(by a few dollars) and had the most stars! No brainer! It was a little hard to find the office; it’s on the 7th floor of one of the Hollywood Presbyterian’s buildings. The address is for the whole complex. Just keep following signs for the«Doctors Building» and then take the elevator to the 7th floor. They’re right there!(I did have a weird moment when a Barney Fife looking guard wanted to check my bag because they were in a «code 3» and I kept thinking he said«give your coat to me» and I’m all«I don’t have a coat») It’s a very small office with only about three rooms, a small selection of glasses, a reception desk and some free mints! I recommend the mints BEFORE the doctor is 2 inches from your face asking you questions. The receptionist was kind and well-trained. It was my first visit and it didn’t take but 5 minutes to fill out the forms and hop in the chair. I was evaluated by an assistant first who had me look at some barn photo inside a little cone doohickey that you rest your face in front of. I think it’s the machine that estimates your prescription before the doctor gets started. I then saw Dr. Fan, a very sweet, energetic, petite woman with a zeal for her job and a gentle sense of humor(she has a great laugh). It was the end of the day and I was the last patient, but I didn’t feel rushed at all. At the end, she determined that my current glasses and contact prescriptions were so close to any of the minute changes that may have happened over the years that I could just stick with my current pair and prescription.(What?!? A doctor that wasn’t suggesting I buy new glasses??? I know. awesome!). they hooked me up with a few different kinds of contacts to try out and, a week later, I decided I liked the Acuvue Oasys and compared their prices with 1−800-CONTACTS and they turned out to be cheaper because I could pick them up and not get charged shipping like I would by 1−800-CONTACTS(although, the yearly supply option was cheaper online, I only buy a box at a time). I was extremely satisfied with the care I received, the prices I paid and the people that work there. I have definitely found my new optometrist! FYI, Dr. Fan said that most of their clients are nurses and doctors from the hospital. Good enough for them? Good enough for me!

I ended up going here because of reading the past raves on Unilocal, and I have to say, I concur. As a recent transplant to Los Angeles, I was in need of a new OD and I have found one. I was seen by Dr. Fan, who was not only great at her profession, but demonstrated the kind of care and good listening skills that you want from a doctor. That certain something that emanates from a person and lets you know that you are in good hands and can put you at instant ease. And she gave me some excellent advice and guidance about the lenses I could choose from, but also let me leave with both types to try them out for myself. The entire office staff was warm and friendly and very helpful as well. And while this visit was only for a new contact prescription, I noticed that there is a wide variety of eyeglass frames to choose from as well. And their prices are reasonable for both. I highly recommend this office.

I’ve been to several eye doctors in the last 6 years and I have never received such quick, fast, and efficient care. I was seen by Dr. Fan who was very professional and demonstrated that she cared for her patient. The staff was great and spent a long time helping me choose a frame that fit my needs and the look I was looking for.

I had a great time here! I would recommend this office as a great place for anyone to go. Everyone was super helpful… Mario actually welcomed me when I came in, which was such a surprise for a doctor’s office. He was a great salesperson, and really helped me find what would suit me. Dr. Lahijani was warm and caring… she was also very thorough and helpful in her explanations of what was going on! She even helped with other questions we had that were outside the realm of what we were there for. I actually had an enjoyable time at the doctor’s office… imagine that!

I’ve been seeing DR. Shermin Lahijani for SEVERAL(5 or so) years, I love her she’s so easy to talk to makes you feel comfortable an explains everything very thoroughly. She’s very knowledged and has one of thee most warm welcoming Optometrist offices I’ve ever been to. I’ve recently moved out of the L.A. area, but still make the commute to go see her because she’s that amazing! My son also sees her and feels the same.

Let me begin with the fact… I never give 5 stars on Unilocal!Dr. Lahijani gave me an eye exam last week. She was awesome. Very professional, and super nice. Extremely professional staff, and great frame selection. It sounds funny, but I actually had fun getting my eyes dilated. I’m super picky about my glasses. I usually can’t find frames I like. Dr lahijani’s office is loaded with cool styles. I expected to pay a premium also, Her prices were impressive, very reasonable,

Dr. Lahijani was great — she’s very sweet and thoughtful, and she doesn’t make you feel like you’re just a patient that she has to see. I’ll definitely be back when I’m due for another exam!

Dr. Lahijani has always been my favorite optometrist. She doesn’t do the air puff test on your eyes! Argh! She’s friendly, caring, and takes her time to make sure you’re comfortable with her prescription. Her staff is very accommodating and they really know seem to know the vision insurance stuff pretty well. I lost my vision insurance this year and thought that maybe I’d have to skip my exam with her this year because of the cost. Well they were very understanding and offered me discounts so that I could afford getting my exam and even updating my frame.

Dr. Lahijani is a great doctor — I’ve been her patient for more than 5 years. First, it may sound obvious, but cleanliness is really important for an eye doctor — Dr. Lahijani’s office, examination technique and hand-washing habits are impeccable!(I once went to a doctor who kept a cat in his office and didn’t wash his hands or wipe down the equipment before examining my eyes — yuck!) Second, Dr. Lahijani takes time to listen to my concerns and needs, answers my questions, and really cares about the quality of my experience as a patient. She does a thorough exam — I never feel rushed, and am always satisfied. Third, she has a kind and patient personality and a great sense of humor, which puts me at ease. I actually drive from West LA to Hollywood to see Dr. Lahijani because she goes the extra mile for me!

Dr. Lahijani is an amazing optometrist. I have been to several other doctors in the past few years, only to be disappointed by their lack of knowledge and care. Dr. Lahijani is professional, knowledgable, and experienced. She provides me with a thorough contact lens exam as well as lenses as needed(the notecard reminder she sends in the mail is awesome!). I really trust her with my eyes! Highly recommend her :)
