Miri’s facials are the best! my skin was so beautiful I didn’t want to put makeup on for days… I love her location too. It’s so tranquil and private. The last thing I want to do is run into someone after Im all blissed out! and there is plenty of street parking which is a major plus for me. Check it out. She is a one stop oasis… waxing, eyebrows, facials… I don’t have time to go to 3 different places… one stop and I’m done! love it! I can’t wait for the next!

Miri is AMAZING! I’ve been a regular for the past 5 years and see her every 3 weeks for waxing. She is very thorough and quick– making the process as painless as possible. She puts you at ease immediately while getting right down to business to get you in and out the door in a timely fashion. Her facials are fabulous and I love all of her products– my skin has never looked better. She also does lash and brow tinting which makes your features pop. Star treatment without the pretentious attitude! I actually work in front of the camera and taking care of my skin is my top priority. Miri is THE go-​to person for the job! She knows what she’s doing and has been doing it for many many years. From creating a relaxing, warm atmosphere to the face «detailing,» everything is superb! I always feel like a different person from the one who walked in just about an hour before. My skin is glowing, smooth, and renewed. Blackheads are gone. Pores are tight. Not to mention, my shoulders are probably an inch lower from the fabulous massage, while I was waiting for the mask to do its magic. Magic all around! On top of that, facials start at $ 55. Hello!!!

Miri is absolutely wonderful! I am getting married in a few months and have my engagement photo shoot coming up. Since I am going to be looking at these photos for the rest of my life I decided to seek the help of a professional. Well I certainly went to the right place. I found out about Skinworks from a friend who has been using Miri for years. Being a man I have never had a facial in my life and didn’t know what to expect. Miri was informative, calming, and I have to say my skin has never looked so good. I will definitely be using her again before my big day!

So after reading reviews on here, I decided to go to Miri. I’m pretty low on cash right now (and I told her this straight up before the facial even started). She recommended a microdermabrasion. I thought it was slightly odd and completely unprofessional that during the session, she left and took 2+ phone calls. After the session ended, she spent about 15 minutes trying to push products on me (something she expressly assured me that she wouldn’t do when I called to make the appointment). I told her over and over that I had absolutely zero money to spend on products, and that even the facial was a luxury. She didn’t care and kept pushing. Finally just to get out the door, I agreed to buy a facial cleanser. Then, she spent another 15 minutes telling me what a good deal I was getting. I DIDN’T WANT THE CLEANSER IN THE FIRST PLACE! Five days later I looked in the mirror. Nothing had changed. Random pimples still there, face way dryer, and bank account depleted. NOT WORTH IT. Seriously.

Helena, the facialist, is awesome. Cancelled on me twice but she called me back and I thought perhaps we were fated to share my epidermis.
She was kind but brusque in a comforting Eastern European way, gave me some tips to find Russian baked goods, asked me about my life in this vaguely interested way, but didn’t talk too much. I actually felt like I had to please her, almost, whereas other facialists in LA have put forth effort to bliss me out. This doesn’t mean she was not attentive. She gave a truly soothing neck and shoulder massage with fragrant plant-​smelling lotions and serious extractions. She was merciless about zapping me with that silver wand thing, making me feel as if I was a robot being honed by an apocalyptic, matter-​of-​fact über-​woman.

Loved her! I am always very nervous when it comes to trying out a new facialist, but she made me feel relaxed as soon as I stepped in. I had a custom facial– she started with cleansing my face and did a customized mask as well. What I liked was she just didnt leave you there, she massaged both arms, hands and feet… Heaven! Since there is/​was only street /​meter parking and I went over the 1 hr limit, she went outside to put more coins in my meter! Talk about service!!! There is street parking on Ogden, but only a few slots so I would book earlier appts if possible. On my way out, she offered me snacks for the drive home as well as bottled water! I will def be coming back to her for my facials!

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is very clean and tranquil. Miri is very professional, sweet as can be, and does amazing services. I highly recommend skinworks for any of your beauty waxing etc. needs.
