Placed a pickup order through EAT24 because I didn’t want to wait long for my food. The estimated time said 10 – 30 minutes. I arrived 10intues after placing my order and checked in. I was told that my order would be ready in a couple of minutes so I waited inside. After 20 minutes of waiting I decided to check on my food and it was sitting to the side ready for pick up as if I was not there. Everyone else who placed orders and waited for their food were brought there order when ready. I’m disappointed right in the service I received. Shrimp taco still on point tho.

went today we got 2 large tacos 1 chicken and 1 steak. my daughter likes them both 3.29 each too expensive for such a SMALL serving. My husband got the Vegan Burrito it had vegan cheese plus lettuce plus vegan crumbles it was tasty but way to small for 7.99! also it says on menu VEgan burriots 7.29 i do not know why she overcharged us but i asked and she said 7.99. i have read lots of reviews i i see a theme; AMAZINGFOOD not bad but just mediocre service but the food is worth better service. and come on lets add at least a thimble of salsa with a 16 buck order;) that is so overpriced seriously i was so dissappointed:(seems like much smaller than last time we went and we had come alot for years and this time made me sad. So with a billl of 16 bucks for a 13 year old girl getting a 2 taco snack and one grown man its very small amount of food. You do not get free chips and u have to ASK for SALSA for the tacos and the burritos THEYDONOTJUSTOFFERIT– nor do they«OFFER anything(a smile?) and they give it to you in very small ‘THIMBLE» SIZEPAPERFILTERS. WAYTOOOMUCHMONEYFORSMALLAMOUNTOFFOOD. THEBIGBOSSWASNOTTHERESO I FELTLIKETHEY were slacking too no one was friendly(the lady who rang us up was not nice but not mean she just was alive i guess) We chatted with SKY many tmes and shes a dream she was not there this time. well it seems they raised the price but the portions got smaller. its a shame cause the food os so tastly I have been there so many times times before and portions were larger and the counter lady was friendly and actually said«hello» and get this«smiled» well SKY was not there so you no the old saying: while the cats away the mice will play.” 5 star food 0 star service

This review is specifically for their breakfast burrito. One of those mornings when you wake up with a crazy craving for a breakfast burrito. Not a lot of places close by that are open but luckily(I though) Sky’s is. Call to confirm they have breakfast burritos since they are not on the menus and they confirm so I head on down and place an order. First mistake — they charged me $ 4 extra for bacon as the meat in my burrito! Total for two came out to over $ 20 for breakfast burritos which is totally unheard of. But I let it go, thinking these would be amazing since the place seemed legit and had good ratings. Second mistake — I didn’t ask what was in the breakfast burrito expecting standard ingredients alas I was wrong. You get the egg and choice of meat(see above note though) but that’s it. No potatoes in any shape or form but instead you get shredded lettuce — what?!? The eggs should be pretty straightforward but wasn’t too tasty either Third and final — they were both super soggy! Not sure what they had in there that contained so much water but it was literally like you had rinsed them under water. Burrito fell apart with two bites and that was that… Don’t waste your time and money here if you are looking for authentic breakfast burritos.

Really good tacos, first time here had the lunch special taco and it was so good. Came with taco rice and beans. The place is also really clean and pleasant. Love this place!

Come here for the best grilled fish tacos. Felt like I was eating them for the first time but this experience was way more memorable as I had the pleasure of meeting Sky and she was just as lovely as the medley of flavors that jumped off the plate and danced across my tongue. I loved the buttery grilled fish with the creamy sauce accompanied by the pickled slaw which made the dish pop! Yummy eats and she even offered me and my date a free slice of her famous homemade cheesecake. Come here and you’ll get your fix of fresh ingredients with bold south of the border flavor!

Awesome! Ordered way too much, but the food was amaze-balls! If you’re in the mood for good food at a good price you’ve found the spot perfect for carnivores and vegans alike. We had vegan tostadas, beef and carnitas tacos, chips and avocado salsa, and 2 quesadillas one vegan and the other with beans and cheese(oops did I mention we ordered too much?) if it’s your first time you can’t go wrong with anything labeled with sky’s logo. Fresh made lemonade made in house.

My BF and I are always on the hunt for some good Mexican food. I think we found this place on Unilocal and decided to try. The tacos were all whatevers and none of them come with avocado and so to add a slice is 1.50 All of them were basically drowning in sauce so by the time we ate it… It was really soggy ;((you can see by the picture) The nachos were not bad actually… Better than the tacos We ordered guac and chips. I was expecting fresh guac but we got a small container of what seems to be a guac salsa? Guac paste? Hmmm questionable I was a little confused? Would I go back? Gave it a couple stars for the nachos but everything was pretty salty and and it wasn’t really cheap either so. Probably not.

Their food is amazing, and there are a bunch of options. From street tacos, to lobster burritos, to lots of vegetarian/vegan options! I guarantee everyone will find something they like on this menu. Their drinks looked delicious as well, though I didn’t get a chance to try them. The location is pretty tiny; you order your food in the dining area which has about five tables and a narrow bar along the wall. It can get kind of crowded inside since people are eating and waiting to order in such a small place. However! There is a bunch more seating outside which we didn’t even notice(whoops. It was probably because we were starving). Also didn’t notice any bathroom which isn’t a make or break for me, just something you should be aware of.

I’m so disappointed. $ 6 for a taco which is NOT a taco it should be advertised as a tapa or appetizer. They have reduced the size to cut costs, well they’ve cut a customer to go with it. Shame on you Sky’s.

This place is as good as it gets for vegetarian/vegan mexican food. I’ve tried their — Potato Burrito — Mushroom Taco — Rice & Yam Taco — Vegan Meat Taco (yes all this food in one sitting. They were delicious!) Everything was really good. I would say my favorite was the mushroom taco. It’s a small place but the décor is cute. Loved the kraft paper tablecloth(cute & hygienic!) and the live flowers at every table :) Service was great too. I’d so be back. SOON.

I’ve driven by the joint many many times, but never noticed it was even there. Luckily my friends suggested we take a trip, and in short, glad we did. Looks like a tiny apartment from the street. It’s cramped inside. There’s 3 rows of tables. You have to wait in line in the aisles, so if you’re eating inside, you may have some butts dangerously close to your tacos. Waited about 5 minutes to get to the front of the line, but then a big phone order came in which took about 5 minutes. They only had one person taking orders, in person or phone. Did not receive friendly service, must have been having a bad day. The menu is a little misleading. The street tacos say they come with two corn tortillas, so I had to clarify if that means two tacos, or one taco with two tortillas(because not all places use two tortillas per taco). I saw filet mignon tacos listed at about $ 7 so I figured that meant two, but nope, one taco with two tortillas. But whatever, I’m a sucker for filet mignon, can’t pass it up when I spot it. So I ordered one. The menu also had a curious note under the quesadilla heading — «see how we make ‘em!» Well that sounded like a challenge, so I had to try a chicken quesadilla. But when I ordered, I was asked if I wanted chicken+cheese, or the deluxe with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. I wound up just getting the chicken+cheese with a side of sour cream($.79). Spoiler alert, turns out they grill them and flip them just like any other quesadilla. Moving on… They have homemade lemonade so I added that. Wound up being $ 20 all in — yikes! That escalated quickly. My friends had a dog so we sat outside. To the right of the entrance, they have a side door that leads to a bright concrete patio with a few benches. If you keep walking, there’s a second even larger grass patio with more benches — perfect for large gatherings or a party. Wound up waiting at least 20 minutes for the food. Probably because of the large phone order placed right before ours. Worth the wait. Despite the two small street tortillas, the filet mignon taco still felt pretty big. There was a generous portion of meat. It just came with onion and tomato since I didn’t want cilantro. Vile weed. I added a touch of mild salsa. Filet mignon is my favorite beef, and they certainly don’t screw it up here. I almost cried when I finished it because it was over too soon. Gourmet taco, indeed. You won’t find filet mignon tacos on the streets of Mexico. The chicken quesadilla was good. Solid ratio of chicken to cheese. The chicken was marinated in something, added a nice flavorful touch. Sour cream wound up not being necessary. The lemonade was refreshing as well. Strong balance of tart and sweet, but I like sweet — definitely not too sweet. Liked that they didn’t fill it with ice and skimp on the product. (My friends got chips and guac and a hibiscus lemonade. Guac was nice and creamy, and the hibiscus lemonade was eye-poppingly good too) I still felt a tiny bit hungry once the taco and quesadilla were consumed, but after they settled for a few minutes, I realized I was full. Glad I didn’t try and pack more in. I would hope I’d be full $ 20 later! So yeah, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Yes it takes a while to get your food. Sure it’s pricey. But the menu is vast and everything is top notch in terms of taste. Plus the outdoor seating is nice and you can bring Fido. So 4 stars for taste and outdoor atmosphere. If you like tacos, or just well-crafted Mexican food, do yourself a favor and pop in.

If you’re in the neighborhood and you need that taco fix, Sky’s is for you. With a clean, welcoming storefront and friendly service, Sky’s sets the right tone for an evening of taco madness. The variety provided is nice too, with all your favorites and more, including potato tacos and even turkey tacos. The tacos come in two sizes, and you can wash them down with a delicious jamaica/lemonade mix served in a glass jar. My only issues with Sky’s are: –Salsa Issue: THEY put the salsa on the taco instead of letting the customer do it. I’m not a fan of this practice because too much of the wrong salsa can make or break the flavor profile as well as making your taco soggy before its time. –Wrong Order Issue: I ordered a bean and cheese quesadilla and instead, I received a meat quesadilla. That’s a pretty big mistake to make since lots of So. Cal. folks avoid meat. Will I return? If I’m driving by and the craving strikes, perhaps, but with other shops like Guisado’s or BS Taqueria around, I might spend my hard earned taco dinero elsewhere.

This is difficult to review in terms of stars. Service/ease of ordering/time spent — 2 stars. Food — 5 stars. My boyfriend and I are vegan and came here before a hockey game because I had been craving really good tacos. First, there was not a single other person in there, dining in, when we ate there. Several people came in and picked up their phone orders, but we definitely waited a solid half hour for our tacos. We ordered four tacos, different kinds, veganized, to share. It was difficult to order, because the menu breaks it down by ‘omni’ food, then there’s a veggie menu where you can either order it vegetarian or vegan. It took almost ten minutes at the actual counter to order our food and made sure that all the versions we got were veganized because there’s so much room for error, from ordering, to the employee entering it, to the cooks making it. I’m not accusing anybody of being incompetent, but this seriously needs to be streamlined in some way. Unless the girl was new and was making sure she was doing it right, I don’t understand why the entire process was as difficult as it was. The food, however, was delicious. The flavor was just lights out, and it really curbed my craving for tacos. I’d come back here, but it was pretty expensive, and almost a hassle to order. The menu needs a serious overhaul. Like, it’s broken down like this: Veggie taco — veggie style OR vegan style Veggie taco(w/vegan meat) — veggie style OR vegan style Tofu taco — veggie style OR vegan style Etc. Making all the veggie tacos vegan by default would really help this, and I think would help cut prep/cooking time down by a lot.

Let me tell you that the gourmet tacos are so far from gourmet … It’s pretty cheap quality & taste, not sure why this place has good reviews. The cheap street taco was the only thing ok. OK, so the filet mignon burrito was not big or filling & openface WTH& tasted like some cheap meat but It’s $ 16, YIKES!!! The steak taco & filet were also like $ 7 – 8& so average. They have other cheap menu items like street tacos, quesadilla, etc because that’s all they are good for, cheap quality. I’ve had SOOOOO much better & made my stomach hurts :(

Gourmet — as defined by Merriam — Webster:(noun) —(1.) a connoisseur of good food; a person with a discerning palate. (2.) of a kind or standard suitable for a gourmet. __________________________________________________________ Whooda’ thunk’ to infuse this tactic with something so simple as a taco??? Admittedly, even after performing Unilocal due diligence and salivating upon reading both Wes and Akisha’s prior reviews… I possessed more reservations when arriving last night than Cirque du Soleil on première night. Located on Pico and Hauser, I found parking for this seemingly well hidden establishment to actually be quite accessible; metered on the street affront the eatery and walking in, the aroma of Naw’lins was virtually inescapable! For what it’s worth, the menu @ Sky’s will darn near reach the sky! We’re talking gi’normous and they offer everything from crawfish and lobster tacos straight to filet mignon burritos! Lawd yes!!! I dun’ made it HOMMMME!!! Without a doubt, did I know I’d died and gone to heaven, yet my death was relatively short-lived as my growling stomach resurrected me in time enough to trek to the window and place my order. Wanting to try«a lil’ bit uv’ dis’ and a lil’ bit uv’ dat’», I partook in ordering the filet burrito, requesting it be served medium rare. Caus’ if it ain’t pink… DEN’ ITAIN’T RIGHT! Thereon, I elected to add shrimp to the burrito and they were stated to have been served a la carte at $.75 a piece. I requested 6! Tag on their illustrious«Sorrel Lemonade» as well as their current special($ 2.95 +/-for chips and avocado salsa) and waiting for it to arrive to the table was next to impossible. What tuh’ do? What tuh’ do? So uhm yea, after a few rounds of Angry Birds, the chips/avo– salsa arrived alongside the lemonade. Disclaimer: YES — ladies and gents-, the provided lemonade is quite sweet but I considered it to be the perfect compliment when served in addition to their already highly seasoned chips. Realizing that the true testament to greatness is often derived by way of an establishment’s salsa —– I inquired on whether or not there was another option(as opposed to the avo-salsa that I initially ordered) and was given the choice of hot versus mild. Of course Kenny Ken likes it HOTTT and this arrived shortly thereafter. Baay-behhhhh — when I say this salsa was hot, Lawd… I swear it was the bear equivalent of downing lava directly from the Momotombo volcano in Nicaragua… and in turn, …well, I was compelled to request EVENMORE!!! #my-booty-gone-have-an-attitude Let’s just say that the Sorrel Lemonade definitely came in handy… The burrito arrived without hesitation and was served«open-faced», reminiscent of say, a burrito bowl from Chipotle, with better presentation. I dug in like a well-digger!!! Unilocal — let me tell ya’, this was HANDSDOWN, the most succulent filet, I’ve tasted in QUITESOMETIME and even more star worthy would be the fact that(and unlike most places), they didn’t skimp on it!!! Yazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! The steak itself, was marinated to perfection not to mention being well seasoned and when coupled by their«sassy sauce» — suddenly I felt so dayum seXXXy! (…perhaps this was actually conjured by the flask I tend to carry around within my briefcase…) —– LEADINGMETOTHESKRIMP’ — this shrimp yall.(sighs…) This shrimp required me to unfasten my belt… and recline a bit further within my chair as I bit down and directly into the bayous of New Orleans, Lew’zanna!!! Yazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! We’re not talking those itty bitty — guppy-sized, baby«Fisherman’s bait» shrimp that some places disingenuously mislead you into purchasing —– yall’ deez’ were jumbo prawns seasoned and served to unmitigated perfection and by no means were they stingy with them!!! #hunnie-hush! The meal deducted a whopping $ 30.00 +/-from my account(and I tipped $ 5-), …HOWEVER, a meal like this is definitely hard to come by and I acknowledge that for what it is. * * * Without a doubt will there be a 2nd visit. Perhaps next go round I’ll strategically walk in toting my resume’ in hand. If I’m gone continue grubbin’ like this, I need to be a part of their payroll!!! {Thanks Olivia}

Came by this place a few months ago randomly. I must say, very unexpected great food at this place. First, went through the menu and finally decided to stick with their fish tacos. Expecting simply/basic tacos and then when we got our order and let me tell you… they were past amazing. very fresh tasting and very well sautéed. The location is very small, sits very few people yet seems like people come in and out of this place often. Seems like a To-Go option is much better for this place rather then a sit in restaurant. Parking is limited(they have all of two spots) but sometimes street parking is available. The staff here is ok I would say, not mean or rude but also not the nicest or helpful. They weren’t too happy, at least it seemed like it, when we had so many question with it being the firs time there. However they did answer them so wasn’t all that bad. I would definitely recommend this spot, very different that just a regular taco place.

My fiancé and I love Sky’s. Its fusion flavors are bold and delicious with some things spicy and others just filled with spices. I often order the Steak Nachos(4 stars) with guacamole and sour cream(extra charge). Each chip is layered with beans, cheese and flavorful steak. The chips also include their signature seasoning. I also like the Steak Burrito(4 stars), which is more like a big open faced taco. It has a similar flavor profile of the nachos without the beans and includes lettuce and tomatoes. The flour tortilla is delicious with a slight crispy outside while still chewy at the same time. My fiancé always gets the Carnitas Taco and the Steak Taco For a refreshing drink, the Sorrel Lemonade(4 stars) is a good choice especially if you like hibiscus flavored drinks. It sweet and tart reminds me of cranberry juice. Service(4 stars) is great since they are always providing service with a smile. There is also indoor and outdoor garden seating. So whether you are here during for lunch or 3rd Thursday on Pico, it’s nice spot to get delicious food and even try their vegan and vegetarian menu.

Features: * This place is a bit small in the inside so I would recommend sitting outside so you can enjoy the street view. * There were only two of us but we decided to pig out on 5 tacos: fish, pork, beef, chicken, and veggis, and nachos. The tacos were really stuffed with meat and veggies and they all tasted good. My favorites were the pork and beef. We were fully stuffed at the end, lol. * We also ordered the sorel lemonade and not only was that delicious but it looked pretty cool in the little vase. * Parking was easy to find. * The order and wait took a total of 15 minutes which was not that long since they had a line of people ahead of us. Good service and our waitress was super nice, she brought us extra sauces for our tacos. Improvement: * The nachos were plain and were not really anything fancy so maybe try something else instead. Tip: * I would say to order the sorbel lemonade because it was sweet and tasty and went well with the tacos.
