Jose came out to clean the carpets in 2 rooms in my condo. He was very friendly and fast. However, we had purchased the $ 44 groupon for 3 rooms/350 sq ft. I called in advance of purchasing the coupon, and I asked about any extra/hidden costs, especially since 1 of the room had pet stains. The woman on the phone said they charge $ 25 – 40 additional for pet stains, on top of the groupon. I thought this was reasonable, so I purchased the groupon and booked an appointment. When Jose showed up, he said the company’s policy was $ 125 in addition to the $ 44 groupon for deep cleaning. Apparently the $ 44 was only steam cleaning. I’m not sure how the quality would have been with steam cleaning only. I told him how the woman on the phone said only $ 25 – 44 for pet stains deep cleaning. He lowered the $ 125 to $ 100, but I was still uncomfortable being misled. Jose explained that we could shop around for another price and then cancel the groupon, if we wanted. But I fell for the trick, and decided that since he was already here and I had already blocked off Saturday afternoon, I’d pay the extra amount. This company is a bait and switch, and not super professional. The stains were improved, but not 100% removed. Also we definitely did not get 3 rooms/350 sq ft of cleaning. I would just rent a carpet cleaner from a hardware store and do it myself next time, for the same results and lower cost.

Purchased $ 44 Groupon to «Carpet Cleaning for Three Rooms, or up to 350 sq feet». When you call to schedule, they immediately tell you that this is just for a small room and that if you have stains they will charge extra. They gave me a window between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Of course they show up at 1:00 pm. The two guys who came out were friendly. But immediately explained that I need to pay more. The groupon only covers steam cleaning which is literally just hot water/steam. In the fine print on Groupon, «Heavily soiled or pet stained areas may incur an extra charge». I didn’t have heavily soiled carpets. They charged me an extra $ 80. Immediately I knew the Groupon was just a scam. I said no just do the steam clean then. They insisted that they do a demo for me. I clean my carpets myself so I know the difference. They just passed through it and of course picked up nothing. Then he pulled the trigger to let the solution out and of course it cleaned the carpet. Since they were there and I moved all my furniture I decided, okay why not. Yup, there goes my Christmas bonus. Took them 30 mins to shampoo my one bedroom tiny apartment. Only because they have to keep filling the machine with hot water. So be prepared to be asked where they can get hot water from. Luckily I don’t pay water so I didn’t care. They probably just shampooed 400 sq feet. He missed so many spots. Up against the front door, by the leg of my dining table, and sporadically throughout my living and dining room. My carpet is sticky now that it has dried so I know they used crappy solution or the machine didn’t pick up most of the stuff they used. Within hours after they had left, not even deep stains. but the darker areas in my carpet started coming back up. $ 120 plus tip for a half ass job. I would pass on this groupon deal. It’s just to get you to purchase it and then get stuck paying more. Go to a respectable Carpet Cleaning Company that has more information online. I did further researching found out that Steam Carpet 4 U is a residence. They show up in a van and machine on wheels. I thought that since they are on Groupon, they would have a heavy duty machine that’s attached to their truck. Nope. Their machine is just a supped up home shampooer. I even do a better job when I do it with my own machine. Save your money. Groupon reviews are fake. It won’t even let me leave a review. Another Red Flag was that they didn’t even have a Unilocal page. Should’ve known. Lastly, they wouldn’t take credit cards and asked me to give cash or write out a check to Carpet Care. I looked up Carpet Care to see if I can match it to Steam 4 U. No luck. Forgot to mention… so they don’t have shoe covers and they kept walking outside to my laundry room for hot water(walking over dirt, leaves and etc) and inside the newly cleaned carpet. They didn’t mop my kitchen or the hallway and left puddles of water from the cleaning job. UPDATE: It’s been a month and all the stains are back to like it was never cleaned. Even my socks are still dirty when I walk around. Mind you… no shoes in the house. Waste of my money and time.
