Jess is very talented and friendly. Every cut I get from her I leave feeling great and looking beautiful. Jess is the best. Finding the perfect stylist can be very hard and expensive. But once you find the right person it feels so amazing. I don’t have a super well developed sense of style or personal fashion but I do care about looking my best.
That is why I really appreciate someone hip and awesome like Jess that will just sit me down and make me look great without requiring much if any input from me. I don’t know what I want, I just want to look good. She makes it happen!

I found Studio Vasi when I first moved to LA because of his excellent reviews. And they were all so accurate! I’ve been seeing Vasi for a year and a half now and I’m obsessed. Everyone at the salon is so sweet and fun to be around. I look forward to going the salon because of them. Not to mention Vasi does an amazing job! He’s given me extensions, colored my hair, and has given me blowouts and all of it has looked phenomenal. I constantly receive compliments on my hair. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

New to LA and already found my new salon. Stellar service, love the ambiance and left with beautiful hair. Highly recommend Brendan. I’m in love with my highlights /​color.

I am incredibly picky person and brought a photo of my natural brunette shade to Vasi. He was able to safely bring my box dyed black hair to the most perfect chocolate light brown my hair natural is. I cannot be happier!!! Worth it! His personality and atmosphere just are a seal to the deal! So happy!!!

Love Love Love Studio Vasi. I’ve been going to them since they were at their old location at Salon Republic (I initially found them just based on positive Unilocal reviews). I always had Christopher (who recently left the salon) cut my hair and loved him!
I went in yesterday and had Jessica do my cut for the first time… I can say with some certainty that i’m obsessed! Jessica did such an amazing job, she was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I went in wanting to do something different to my hair, but I didn’t really know what. I told her to do whatever she wanted and what she thought would look the best on me. She did amazing fade on my sides and layered the top so it was easy to style (i have ridiculous wavy hair with cowlicks everywhere).
Fast forward to today (day after the cut); i’ve received so many compliments on my hair. Two different people have actually told me this is the best haircut they’ve seen on me.
I will definitely be going back!

Firstly, this place does have talented hair stylists. You can tell that they have a level of training and experience higher than a lot of places.
The end result, however, may not be for everyone’s liking. I’m not sure if it’s an intentional aim for the staff to cut styles requiring frequent maintenance or a return visit, but my particular experience didn’t end with the most «cost effective» cut. In fact, literally days after the cut, it was already requiring maintenance — work management in fact asking me to go get it tidied up. This was more so than my previous cuts at other various locations from other stylists.
The bottom line is that while you’re getting a strong cut by talented and experienced stylists — it’s probably a place to go only when you need a cut for a special occasion that night. It’s slightly more expensive than other hair stylists in the area, and unfortunately, you won’t leave with a cut that will last, but rather, a cut that will end up requiring additional work and upkeep very shortly after.

Vasi is a gifted stylist and a wonderful human being. He is professional yet warm, listens to what you want and executes accordingly. I get SO MANY compliments on my cut and color. Peter schedules appointments and is lovely. Jess is a goddess. Trust me, come here and you will not be disappointed!

Vasi is AMAZING! Not only does he really know his stuff when it comes to colour, he is also just the nicest, funniest, most humble guy. After another hairdresser left my hair in a bright yellow-​and-​orange mess, I was struggling to find someone to fix my hair in time for a big event tomorrow morning. Everything was closed or had no appointments available. Then I happened to walk past Vasi’s salon.
He was finishing up for the day, but he didn’t hesitate to re-​open just for me, and was so enthusiastic about helping! He even helped me with the price as I had just spent quite a bit on the previous hairdresser. He went to town on my hair, separating out the big yellow strips that were supposed to be highlights, toning down the orange at the top of my head to a beautiful sandy blonde, and making the colour at the ends richer and deeper. He was the nicest company after a slightly teary and stressed out morning. He totally made my day, and what’s more, he completely fixed my hair at the last possible moment! Thank you so, SO much Vasi — I will definitely be telling everyone about you!
In conclusion: GO TO VASI! :)

I was way overdue for a cut, & after doing a bit of research, I found this salon fairly close to my house and decently priced. I booked a consultation over the phone with Peter, who is super friendly. I arrived at the salon to meet Jess. I told her about my lifestyle and hair goals, & she instantly knew what I needed and gave me a few different options. She didn’t try to sell me on some crazy, elaborate style I could never obtain at home, or any extras. I got a great cut that works with my laid back SoCal life. She told me what kind of products I should be using without pushing me to buy anything. The salon has a great atmosphere, a very professional, yet friendly vibe. The price is a bit high for a cut, but at the same time A. This is Los Angeles and B. This ain’t no Supercuts! You definitely get what you pay for! I will be back!

I’m not going anywhere else but here for my ombré/​sombre obsession! Vasi is incredibly talented and knows exactly what he’s doing. He did it exactly how I wanted it! He has such a great technique and blended my hair together perfectly. He takes time on his clients and doesn’t rush anything. He is so passionate in what he does and completely honest with what he thinks needs to be fixed, which is what I loved! He is hilarious and entertaining as well! :) Will definitely be going back to him, and recommending him to all my friends!

I am *convinced* the hair gods & goddesses are responsible for my finding out about Vasi and his amazing apprentice, Brandon.
After a long day of walking to work and then actually, y’know, working, I was dead tired and ready to go home to prep for a big night out. Before I headed on my way, Brandon stopped me and told me about the new Studio Vasi salon across the street and that he could give me a complimentary blow-​out. I inquired about a haircut as well and after hearing the great price, I was SO in.
I called for an appointment and as I walked over there, Brandon joined me and we got to work on my hair once we arrived at Vasi’s beautiful all-​white studio. A full consultation and a shampoo later, Vasi was cutting my hair. Brandon styled it.
AND IT’S AMAZING.
Seriously. My last cut was done by a ‘celebrity’ stylist who charged almost 10x more for something really basic — and all I got out of that experience was a hard-​sell for his line of overpriced hair products. Vasi didn’t try to sell me *anything.* He and Brandon literally just cut my hair and styled it precisely how I asked for it to be cut & styled. IMAGINE THAT.
The staff is all-​smiles, really trendy & cool, and totally fun to talk to. Very welcoming, no bullying for more appointments, no crazy upselling, etc.
PLEASE get your hair done here. It’s basically too good to be true.

I’m a naturally curly hair girl and was in desperate need of a haircut. I had been rocking the dreaded pyramid shape for far too long. My previous stylist had moved to NY and I’ve been nervous to try another stylist. I took a chance on Studio Vasi and specifically booked Renee on a whim and it was perfect! She knew so much about curly hair and the Ouidad products that I fell in love with instantly. They had a sale so I ended up buying several to take home. It’s been three days and I love love my new do and the new products. Will definitely be coming back. Renee was so professional, knowledgeable and just fun to talk to while getting my hair cut. The fact the she knows curly hair so well and was not intimidated by my curls was great. I rarely write Unilocal reviews, but felt it necessary since I love what Renee did with my hair. Thank you!

Recently visited Studio Vasi to get a new cut/​color and check out the new space. I love the vibe of the salon very friendly and fun. I was paired with Renee. She was very welcoming. Renee did an amazing job cutting off some of my length and adding bright natural looking highlights. I love how my hair turned out and had a great time at the salon during my visit.

Unlike every other hair stylist I’ve had before, she did not complain even once. She was super excited to see how my highlights came out and I must say that she did a wonderful job!!!

Studio Vasi is a really fantastic salon because the stylist are all very wonderful and very talented. Before this I posted a negative review because part of my hair cut was unsatisfactory and unmanageable but within the same day the owner, Vasi, replied and emailed very concerned and had a million solutions. After swallowing my pride (and a xanax) I chilled out about my hair and came back the next day and OMG, they are amazing people! Vasi hooked it up and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, which can be rare especially in LA. I finally have a new stylist and I’m taking him!!! Mine! haha :) Thanks Vasi!!! You’re a magical person! :)
