how could I not give a good rating for this subs??? I have at least trice a week visit in this location, sandwiches are pretty damn good. Steak and cheese sandwich, tasty chicken, turkey and roast beef, and fresh garden veggies like crisp spinach and crunchy cucumbers, awesome delicious. Plus the beautiful and smiling cashier. :)

For the food, you’ll find your average Subway here. However, there are some things that make this Subway not like the rest, and get ready, it’s not good. The prices are above normal. I’ve found some instances where they will price something more than the one they would serve out in Westwood. They are practically pickpocketing us broke college students. I can’t stand it. It’s not as if Subway needs this money. The service at this Subway also never seems friendly at all. They just are focused on efficiency and getting people in and out through the line. There are always way too many people lined up for Subway for lunch, so going at the beginning of an hour is never a good idea. You would have much better luck at Fusion right next door.

I’m rating this Subway against other Subways, so bear that in mind. I’ve been here more times than I’m proud of, and that’s because it’s placed smack dab middle in UCLA’s Bomb Shelter, an affectionate nickname given to the mini-food court next to the heart of South Campus. Where the other choices are Yoshinoya, Fusion, and some obscure healthy eatery, it makes sense to sometimes grab a foot long sub. What do I love about this Subway? I love that you can get all you ever need from Subway: a good, hearty, fresh sandwich that you can feel decent eating. Plus, I love that I can study in Bomb Shelter’s multiple tables and smell the aromatic wafts of fresh-baked bread. For that reason alone, I hope this Subway never goes away. What do I not love about this Subway? Prices are slightly higher than usual. What I mean by that is that they don’t offer the $ 5 foot long for any subs; the cheapest they start out at is $ 5.75. It makes sense given the ridiculous demand that is present; on most days during lunch hours, the line is pretty lengthy, so expect 10 – 20 minutes to get your sandwich if you come around 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. All in all, a pretty solid Subway and a very convenient location, but long lines(as well as not being open on Sundays, which is more of UCLA’s fault than anything) as well as a lack of price deals makes this Subway decidedly average.

There’s a person who messed up my subs TWICE in a week. Just so freaking stupid made me even think she did it on purpose. WILLNEVEREATSUBWAYONCAMPUSEVERAGAIN!
