It’s good food, they people that tend to us where nice. It’s all about what kind of energy you give back. My girl said the sushi was not to park. I’m vegan, so the food was good to me. My girl had the fried shrimp with jalapeños. The miso soup was good just don’t let it sit to long or it will turn salty. Everyone has different palate. The restroom for men had a steal right when you walk in and the sink is inside the stall. I give this place 4 out of 5.

This place only has a 2-star rating but I think it gets unfair expectations. The outside is not really appealing, the prices are cheap, and if I went here with friends for a lunch buffet I think I would be disappointed too. *However* I’ve eaten here twice and both times were on lazy Sundays. My roommate recommended it {who is from China so I think that says something positive}. I called it in before, went and picked it up in sweatpants, and we ate it at home while watching reality TV… we were definitely satisfied! For $ 7 I got the shrimp fried rice which is huge and can definitely be split between two or eaten as two different meals so you’re basically paying $ 3.50. So cheap! The staff could be a little more attentive/polite when you go to pick up your food {I definitely thought to myself ‘are they talking about me right now?’ when I was there} but since I was only in there for a minute I didn’t really care. Overall it hits the spot for my fried rice cravings! Oh, and it was ready in 5mins!

This place is ZERO stars ok. When we first came here we saw the food options were poor. Literally only 20 – 30 things u could pick from. An average buffet has 60 – 70 options and choices. The person the served me just rushed us and let another group cut in front of us when we were next. Right away I could tell that the sushi was old because the avocado black and there was litterally plastic wrap covering it. I had to unwrap it to get some. The bathrooms need an upgrade. Come on this is a buffet u need bathrooms with multiple sinks. DAMNJUSTDONTCOMEHERE. You get what you pay. Theres only one sushi choice. california roll. and its not even good.

American Chinese buffet. Food was bland. Some items where good. What threw me off was that the baked mussels were not cleaned properly. They had that lil whiskers net thingy still stuck in them. The sushi was translucent which only indicates that it wasn’t fresh. Hmmmm service sucked the employees where all poker face. Wouldn’t come back.

Ok for lunch. Decent price, decent quality! Only thing that made me sad was the orage chicken that was stale and hard.

Ordered to go. Had 3 dishes from the menu. House special rice, house special chow mein and chicken with green beans, which they specially made for me. Food had good taste. The price I thought was very reasonable. I wouldn’t recommend the buffet. Food didn’t look appetizing and two flies were moving and sitting around the food.

the one and only way or method that u should use to find out if a certain buffet is good or not is to go around lunch time and«people-watch»…if 8 out of 10 people in the restaurant are wearing sweat pants spandex or shorts, you know it’s a great buffet. because for somebody to actually decide to wear sweat pants before they go to a buffet, you know ITSABOUTTOGETSERIOUS!

Went to lunch with my husband… This is place is disgusting. Grease was floating on top on soups, the food was cold. We had one plate and ended up leaving. Ended up sick for the rest of the day. We will not be going back !!

This is not the fanciest restaurant in town, but the food is okay and inexpensive and plentiful. I always get take out, egg fu young and special combination rice. Some of you food snobs crack me up and some of you reviewers write too much about everything except the food and the service. Reviews on the short side are best. Try the Green Dragon on Colorado in Eagle Rock or the fortune Inn and or the Panda Inn in Glendale if your want to take a date.

Always do take out from here. Food is pretty good for the price and fills that Chinese food urge. Normally the service isn’t the best with the guys just stating back at you or not smiling however today there was a young lady who was very friendly and nice. I really enjoy the take on lemon chicken here.

The truth I really do not know why people are giving this restaurant a rating of more than 1 star, this restaurant his horrible, food is really horrible, at first they do greet you and their friendly people, i live by there, the only reason i stop there was because My Taco had a lot of people and that restaurant had no one in, that should off said something, anyways FOODISNASTY!!! and to top it all we left after the first plate of food we got, but when we left the waiter came out and screamed at us «HEYNOTIP?» in my opinion i think tips are for tasty food, and good service. There’s no way will ever go back

Where do I begin? First off, the food was dry, stale and lacking in taste. The«spicy» dishes were not spicy at all and my wife decided to look up at the ceiling for some reason and saw a roach crawling above our table. We got up and left immediately.

I came in on a Saturday afternoon to fill up on a lot of cheap food. I had spent the morning running around Pasadena(literally, training for a race) so I was pretty hungry. When I went in, a family had just gotten up from a table and the host/waiter seated me at their table with dirty dishes, cups, and napkins still present. He asked me to sit and wait and came back with a moist rag to wipe down the table in front of me. It was pretty odd considering the restaurant was 80% empty and there were plenty of clean tables nearby. My guess is it reduced the amount of cleaning the staff had to do but I’m still not sure how that works or why they’d choose that practice. The food was awful. I started with the very sad, very empty sushi station that had only about 10 pieces in total. They were covered in saran wrap, maybe to prevent them from drying out but it didn’t work and the few pieces I took were very dry. They were also at room temperature instead of being chilled so I was worried about food poisoning and stuck to the veggie pieces. The salad bar made me laugh. It was a tray with sheaves of lettuce that had not been cut and would have been impossible to eat with a fork. The rest of the salad bar had a handful of different dressings but no other vegetables, croutons, or toppings were present. The selection of hot dishes was on the small side, which isn’t a huge detraction considering the price. In fact, it was small enough for me to sample everything. There were two dim sum options, potstickers and shumai. They were also dry and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The«best» of the hot dishes were greasy and bland without being memorable. The worst tasted pretty bad and were difficult to eat, even for someone who isn’t very picky. The chicken meatballs stand out, which came four on a stick and were congealed to the bottom of the tray. They were difficult to stomach and I wasn’t able to wash it down because my water was never refilled(more on that later). The wontons in the wonton soup were passable but floury it was my favorite dish(not counting the Texas toast, which was great). Nothing tasted fresh but I wasn’t expecting it to and everything tasted like they had been drying out under heat lamps for several hours. I showed up at about 2:30 when it wasn’t busy so it’s possible that’s exactly what happened. The desserts were pretty standard square cakes and cookies that I’ve seen at other Chinese buffets. The cakes were old and stale and tasted like they were at least a day old. The service was lacking but I wasn’t expecting much for such a cheap buffet. My water was never refilled and it was impossible to flag down a waiter because they only helped guests to seat them and never circulated otherwise. The staff was also very small with only two hosts/waiters working on a Saturday. For a while they hung out at the cashier and were talking and joking with each other, which became distracting after a while. Later, one of them was busy preparing a box of green beans at a table in the dining area. It was very weird and I don’t know why they didn’t prepare the food in the kitchen, out of sight of the guests and in an environment designed to handle food. Looking at the price and the reviews, I didn’t come into this restaurant looking for good food. I would say I got a fair amount of food for what I paid, especially considering how many meat dishes there are, but I don’t feel like I got the most out of my money. Had the food been better, I would’ve eaten about a third more than I actually did. I wasn’t hungry when I left but I wasn’t full either. I won’t be returning again and the next time I’m looking for a buffet, I’ll gladly pay a little more elsewhere for better quality food.

I wrote a review while I was in the restaurant yesterday but for some reason it has not showed up here or in the filtered area. I guess I don’t know how to use my smartphone to do this. So here is my review: As someone who has not been in a Chinese restaurant since I discovered Thai ones, I was quite surprised when I was taken to Super Panda. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from and were constantly being refreshed with just cooked stock. There actually were a fair number of spicy dishes, a real plus for me. It was the lack of spicy dishes that got me to switch to Thai. I was impressed with the seafood selections. There were a number of shrimp dishes, baked mussel on the half shell, octopus, and stuffed crab on the half shell. Their chicken dishes were real good too. The roast chicken breast was tender and very tasty. Price-wise, it is quite fair for what they provide, under $ 8 for lunch on weekdays, a bit higher for dinner and on weekends. I have read the lousy reviews that they have gotten, and either they have just done a major turnaround or those reviewers were eating some place else. I think most of the 3 star reviews I read actually were rated lower than what the review wrote. They probably ought to have been 4 stars. 3 stars is average or mediocre, but their reviews said it was a good experience. Oh, well! Overall, this is not the best Chinese restaurant that I have eaten in, having been a regular visitor to N.Y. Chinatown and China, itself, but it was good enough that I would make the trip from North Hollywood to eat there again. A 4 star rating is fair for my dining experience.

Me and my husband went in for some chinese food and came back out less than 10 min after we realized everything tasted like crap. We got home and around 1:00AM we both started violently throwing up and had horrible stomach cramps and chills which I am pretty sure is FOODPOISONING. this place should do Los Angeles a favor and SHUTDOWN. DONTGOHERE.

Why did you come here? How did you end up coming here? Life has not been kind to you or you were taken here for some reason. I was taken here. I pigged out, yeah. so what? I was with family and they enjoyed it. The egg rolls were delicious. Cheap buffet in Highland Park. I wouldn’t recommend the sushi there. I ate some other stuff but I can’t remember, and I was sober too. The locals here are very interesting.

Really bad. The first thing I see when I step inside is a fish tank with disgusting green build up coating the glass. I had the buffet, which was my own fault, but I thought I could expect at least Panda Express level food(which isn’t great in itself) but I was wrong. It looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day long. I won’t be going back. If you want good Chinese, there are plenty of authentic places in Alhambra.

My wife and I spend money, but we hate it. We get our nice paychecks and you think of all the possibilities to do with it, but then the burden and responsibility of adult hood punches you right in the lung and when you are slumped over trying to collect breath, it knees you once right in the teeth. My lungs are struggling to grab what air they can as I collapse on the floor. My creditors and bill collectors just look on counting their money and when I beg for help, they pick me up by my hand then toss me face first onto the floor. Yep. Adulthood stinks. Me and the missus want to live like kings on a wage that doesn’t really support that, so we have to find avordable subsititutes that give us the illusion that we’re kings. It only makes sense that endless buffets give us this impression. I use to work catering and I never had a single good experience with buffet food, but like an idiot, I always try it again and again. This time I was coming back from visiting my friend in South Pasadena and I saw the sign, looked over to my wife and asked«Super Panda»? She turns to me. «Super Panda?» she asks. «SUPERPANDA» we both squeal. We go in and it’s like so many Chinese restaurants. Tacky paintings with the illuminated waterfall, lots of gold trim and that really bad listen at work station that Dick Clark would advertise in the nineties is playing. We sit down and are given chopsticks, some napkins and we are asked what we want to drink. The chopsticks were a real treat as the paper packaging in came in was loaded with grammatical, syntax and spelling mistakes up the wazoo. Basically it was an attempt to teach you how to use chopsticks and to celebrate the«galonious histoly of China». We go get our plates and load it up with food. We notice some strange things as it’s advertised as «China Buffet», but there are plenty of things like microwave quality pizza and incredibly small and disgusting California rolls that were out of character for the buffet. When I did get some Chinese food, it was incredibly greasy and tasted like it was left out for a few hours. My wife was incredibly upset as she grew up in a neighborhood loaded with tasty Chinese restaurants, but that was among the most mediocre she’s had. It is mighty telling when there wasn’t a single Chinese person eating here and instead it was loaded with obese Mexican women looking for a deal. We left very upset and very unsatisfied. Why did we waste money on that? Sure we saved money, but at what cost? At that same price, we could’ve bought some cheap ingredients and beer from Trader Joe’s and make ourselves some deluxe sandwiches and instead of having Boyz II Men playing on the radio, I could’ve listened to those amazing Carl Stalling compilations me and the lady are so addicted too. Unless I become an obese dynamo who gets their kicks from self-loathing and by eating greasy food, I don’t plan on coming back anytime soon.

Ghetto buffet style at it’s finest. Super cheap lunch special and gotta love the fact that they have Tsing Tao beer. My favorite of all Chinese beer! Go there to spend less than $ 10 bucks to have a beer and eat until you’re ready to burst. I like the selection of food in the buffet just don’t like that most of the food looks like it’s been sitting there untouched for 3 hours… Decent place if you’re reallllly craving Chinese and you’re real lazy because there are definitely better Chinese places in the area.
