I m super bummed about the sushi tonight. I don’t normally order to go but I did tonight. My sashimi salad was full of all the fatty sushi it was chewy and looked like scraps! And my blossom roll was all loose and fell apart;/ than the sexy roll the(cucumber one instead of rice wrap) was all yellow and hard and the carrots were hard too! I m so so disappointed. I normally eat here and I have not had this kinda of service before. After that I m a bit standoffish to try it again:/

Fresh. Clean. Descent Japanese. Good service for ordering but the only waitress who was in this small restaurant left dirty dishes on the table for more than an hour after people had left. It’s no frills and the bench seating on one side is a little uncomfortable as there’s no cushion, but if you’re after a great selection of fresh and reasonably priced sushi and sashimi then this would be it. Loved the green dragon roll, sushi tempura, and gyoza.

Terrible service, but good food with portions on the smaller side for the price you pay.

It might not be such traditional sushi but I will definitely go back for the tamago which seems to be made fresh each time you order it. So it’s warm on cool rice. A nice sensation.

Always fresh and amazing. They spoil you here. Great date place. Been coming for a year. My fave sushi in Hollywood and I’m a foodie.

How infatuated can a broad be with a sushi joint? (Rhetorical — I’m smitten, kids.) I submit to you Sushi Ajito: where the saki’s hot, hospitality is warm & the fishes & crustaceans are funky-fresh-dressed-to-impress-ready-to-party! Some of the most exquisite & creative fare breaks out of the kitchen. It’s a constant source for mixing & experiencing new flavors, textures, combinations of comfort — Further, despite a creative flurry behind the menu & new options added to entice — Sushi Ajito is consistently & undoubtedly a truly dazzling dining experience. Also: I’d be remiss to not address the staff & artisans behind this phenomenal establishment. Warm, receptive, brilliantly well-versed, remembered I don’t eat avocado after 2 trips. That’s effing HUGE. Mic drop HUGE. But there’s more: they care. They take pride. They’ll create anything you can dream up — this joint was built to serve. It’s only bonus points that this establishment’s offerings blow the freaking roof off & obliterate all sushi meters. This is the spot for creative, innovative, decadent & beautifully artistic items. (I use it to show off to friends & it works. Errytime, without fail. I urge you to do the same — sit back & wait for the«oohs» & «aahhhs» from your guests. #yourewelcome

I love this sushi place; I come here all the time, even by myself. When I go here by myself, I love sitting at the bar because the chefs joke around with you and sometimes even show you tricks. They basically keep you company and not make you feel like you have no friends LOL. And let’s get to the main topic: The Food! I love the heart attack roll with a kick of spiciness and the thousand dollar roll also with a kick of spiciness. I also tried the yellowtail, tuna, and salmon sashimi here and all tasted fresh. Sesame salad was pretty good as well. Man, I came here ALOT. What else did I try… maybe I’ll update next time I come here. Haha Oh, if you love avocados, ask to get them on the side and just eat it everything! haha

I moved around the block two months ago, I was always blinded by the crowds at Fat Sal’s that I never noticed Sushi Ajito just next door. After looking for a healthier alternative for a meal I stumbled across them on Unilocal.Other reviewers mention their poke bowl, I have now ordered it 3x. For the price it’s a sure win. The fish is always fresh tasting and the flavor is consistent.(I add avocado for extra measure) So now my go to last minute meal is this poke bowl.

Didn’t get the full sushi experience, but just went there for a small snack. I just got a side of rice with a small thing of Teriyaki sauce(which they call Eel sauce). For some reason they couldn’t put the sauce on themselves, and had me do it. The rice itself was really good, and it wasn’t your normal normal sticky rice. The sauce was even better. Super impressed. The chef I spoke with and the others that I saw seemed very nice and helpful. The hostess at the front of the restaurant was very rude(and there was not reason to be). Review for food only

I had my first poke bowl here and Id say it was pretty satisfying. Everything in my bowl was fresh and I also liked how they gave me miso soup on the house because they forgot to add avocado as I requested. The staff is super friendly and vibrant and give off a warm, welcoming vibe. Id give 7⁄10 for the poke bowl, 9⁄10 for ambience and 10⁄10 for hospitality and quick service. Thank you sushi ajito for my healthy yet filling dinner :)

Had a simple order of California roll and tempura udon. California roll was good, not too«wet» not too«dry». The roll diameter was a good nite size. The tempura was done well, not oily. The noodles had just the right firmness to feel hearty and the broth was very tasty without being over-seasoned with salt. I usually don’t care to finish the broth of noodles, but this one was good. Went on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm, it was a nice atmosphere with not too many people in there and was able to enjoy the meal without a lot of noise.

Service went down dramatically. Wait time increased by 30 – 40 minutes. No deliveries. Employees don’t speak English well.

Their poke bowl was amazing! I love how they didn’t have 100 things to choose from to add to your bowl. Simple, cheap, and delicious.

Good spot when you want sushi but without paying $$$ or waiting in lines. Every time I’ve been here has been pleasant enough. Love that they have HH prices during the day. Three rolls, one app, a large beer and a large sake came out to $ 40…basically the price of one Trust Me dinner without the alkie. Parking can be a drag since it’s shared with Fat Sal’s but if you luck out with a spot, at least it’s free. Service is good too. They don’t judge when you’re throwing back sake shots in the middle of the day. Ha.

Very solid sushi place if you are looking for one in this area. Never too crowded for a quick lunch during the work week!

Bad Don’t be fooled by the discounted happy hour menu prices. They are lower because the portion is smaller. Half price rolls but half the roll. Half-price Goyza half the Portion. Dressing on the salad is over sweet and pre-bought. Tomatoes were old and waterlogged. Gyoza was cheap and frozen. The Korean woman who acts as host and server is really rude and unhospitable. They could put a little bit more positive energy into their atmosphere. I understand the difference between being busy and just being plain rude and she was just plain rude. And look out for flys!!! So upon my leaving I decided to talk to the manager and express my concerns as he had nothing to offer. I addressed the server who could care less and said that that was just my opinion. I expressed to her that as a paying customer my opinion should matter. She said oh well and didn’t care. How do restaurants like to stay open? (if you’re looking for a good bite this is not your stop keep driving there are plenty of sushi restaurants in the area that offer a better overall experience)

Came here tonight for dinner with my family and am not just blown away by the amazing sushi but the friendliness here and how they treat you like family when you walk in the door! My two year old loves their Alaska roll and the fun music always playing. Thank you for the Mickey Mouse orange you made!!!
