I tried their SM location and thought I’d never return. A group decided to go to SweetGreen in Hollywood and I was reluctant. I ordered the ELOTE Bowl, I think it is a seasonal item. NOW, this time around, I loved it! It was a huge salad and I couldn’t stop eating. My bf had a horrible experience at their SM location as well so he wasn’t all too excited. He ordered the Hello Mushroom or something. The first one on their menu. He LOVED it. Ok, glad we tried them again. Will def return.

«Another salad place. hmm okay.»…that was my first impression. Katie B. brought the Unilocal volunteers here after a morning of volunteering at Project Angel Food. And it really changed my life. Silly me, I thought just«another salad place» was going to be bland and boring but it introduced me to this thing called ‘wild rice’ which isn’t actually rice, it’s grass(yes! Grass!) and it’s the most amazing thing ever. Here’s how I fell in love: I ordered the Hollywood Bowl because I was told it was one of the popular ones but deep down inside, I was kind of iffy. I thought it was pretty much a salad with balsamic vinaigrette — so what’s so great? But… WAIT until you take your first bite and it’s like a party in your mouth. It was SOOOOGOOOOOD! SOGOOD that I actually came back to get it again! And it was still just as good!!! The wild rice has a crunchy nutty flavor/texture and with the grapes and raisins, it was just a sweet, tangy, crunchy, nutty salad and it was ahhhmaaaazing!(Side note: My boyfriend did try this salad and he didn’t like it at all so… I cannot guarantee that you will also have amazing taste buds like me). Sweetgreen is actually a bit of a drive so since eating there, I started buying wild rice from trader joes which I mix with chicken, feta cheese, almonds, and grapes(pretty much the ingredients of the Hollywood Bowl). It’s not as great as the sweetgreen version but it does fill in the gap until I go back. PARKING ======= There’s a parking structure around the corner. Once you grab your ticket to enter, head to the lower level. There were valet attendants on the ground level who offered to park my car for no charge. I just didn’t trust them and I’m totally capable of parking myself so they directed me downstairs.

I can’t get enough of Sweetgreen’s salads, I literally go to the Hollywood store up to 5 times per week! It’s the only place in LA that I can get a fresh, healthy salad with quality ingredients, and can tailor it to exactly how I like it. Their portobello mushrooms are amazinggggg for all the vegetarians and vegans out there! Staff are cool and very friendly!

Good but pretty pricey for the salad you get. The scoops the give are stingy to begin with and then they shake off the top resulting in LESS than the serving you pay for. Please just serve big scoops and I’ll be stoked. I come here nearly everyday and just want to feel like it’s worth my money. UPDATED5⁄16 I’m basically addicted to sweetgreen now. While sometimes I still have my quarrels with portion size the staff is awesome and the salad is always so delicious.

I tried them out today with my parents. We ordered the Earth Bowl and the Hummus Tahini. AMAZING. They prepare it for you to order right before your eyes. The portions are very generous. My parents and I shared the 2 bowls between the 3 of us and brought home half of the Earth Bowl. All the ingredients were crisp and fresh. The Falafel was very savory. The people working there are beyond wonderful. They are all super cheerful, helpful, and patient. They don’t accept tips so reward them by coming back often. FYI they do validate parking for an hour.

After putting in some hours volunteering at Angel Food Kitchen nearby, Katie B. treated our team to some comp’d sweetgreen. Now, I’m not big into salads, but if they all tasted like this I would eat one every day! Order on their app so by the time you arrive your food is ready to go and you avoid the humongous line. Of course, you might want to line up anyway to sample their offerings, but I like to live dangerously. Parking was thankfully easy with a free hour of valet in the structure next to it. Don’t forget to validate! I ordered an EARTHBOWL($ 11.25) which promises to be filling at 775 calories. It contains quinoa, farro, organic arugula, tomatoes, raw corn, organic chickpeas, spicy broccoli, organic white cheddar, roasted chicken, and pesto vinaigrette. One cup of the pesto was not enough for me, so I asked for another one. If that list doesn’t immediately make you want to go to yoga, do a juice cleanse, and generally get your burger eating butt off to the gym, I don’t know what will. My body is not used to so much healthiness in one meal! Not only is it organic everything, but all their items are locally sourced. I thought I could polish it off easily, but I started to get full halfway and had to take the rest home. When you get a drink, you can sample from all their free flowing agua frescas and teas. I liked the MATCHAFRESCA and the JASMINEGREENICEDTEA, but I was not a fan of the CAMOMILEMINTICEDTEA. None of the drinks I tried were sweet, but apparently you can get some natural healthy sweetener for them? I did not try this out. Admittedly, sweetgreen would not be my first choice if I actually had to buy it myself. $ 11 for a salad is a little steep, BUT keep in mind it is very filling and tasty. I believe in this area all the fast healthy joints(Veggie Grill, Tender Greens) are in that price bracket anyway, so if you want a meal that won’t leave you feeling bad about yourself, do try this out. Food: 5, Service: 4, Environment: 5, Price: 2

Ever since being turned onto this salad spot through a Unilocal Elite Event, I’ve been wanting to return and I have, twice. And all visits within a week. That tells you something. The items here are so fresh and wholesome, I feel like I’ve really don’t something good for myself. All the fresh vegetables, hearty grains and protein, making up awesome testing salads, is much appreciated. My favorite lately has been the Earth Bowl. It’s made with quinoa and farro, organic arugula, tomatoes, raw corn, organic chickpeas, spicy broccoli, organic white cheddar, roasted chicken and a pesto vinaigrette. Delicious! Every time I eat this, I am completely satisfied. The flavored waters are sorting also and a great accompaniment to your meal. The staff is super friendly and attentive that it’s just another plus to dining here. Parking is $ 1 on either street meters parking for an hour free with validation in the parking structure adjacent to the newly built Columbia Square off El Centro. This is a great addition to this area and I’ll be returning often.

I have to say, if there are 3 salad joints in a two block radius(there are), you better step up your game. I don’t necessarily consider Sweetgreen to be the best of the three. They all have their pluses and minuses. +make your own options +nice fresh veggies and some unique options +Steelhead! +Delicious ice tea –Not a lot of food for like $ 12 – 15 –Tends to be a lot of greens and you have to ask to add extra tomatoes. C’mon, tomatoes are cheap, put more than 5 on there. –Sometimes the workers are super clue less. If I order ice tea, and your ice machine is broken, please tell me that up front. Duh. So, there you have it. Pricey, but a decent option when you are bored with your leftovers.

I used to love coming here, but every time I come back, my experience progressively gets worse and worse. My last visit here was terrible! I am not sure if the person making my salad was new, but I ordered their rad thai salad and he literally did not know how to make it. at all. He kept asking reaching out to his coworkers on every step/ingredient. Also, for a $ 13 salad, it was such a sad portion. It barely filled the bowl at all and their piece of bread took most of the room. There’s free valet parking with validation at least …(entrance on El Centro)

Very busy place with a very helpful staff. To avoid the wait I placed my order through their app, and it was ready when I arrived. I got the mushroom and wild rice bowl, I liked everything in my bowl except the mushrooms, they had sort of a odd smoky flavor, did not go well with the salad. Next time I will ask for extra dressing as well, it was not enough. The lemon Fresca and the cucumber lemon drinks were not my cup of tea at all, must be an acquired taste. I will be back to try other bowls, there is parking on the street as well as in the structure with one hour valet validation.

Urgghh I have such mixed feelings about Sweetgreen. I LOVE their huge portions, delicious salads, and wonderful people who work there. I like their seasonal portabella mushroom bowl a LOT… But I stopped getting it because they put oil in a LOT of their food. Like their wild rice. You don’t need oil to cook with rice — ever. I’m too afraid to ask how much oil they cook with, without sounding even more like a looney(and for those who think oil/butter is «good for you”– I am sorry but that is not true at all :(Oil is processed fat… which does not serve as energy. Carbohydrates are energy. So yay for carbs. Boo for oil). Because of this I really don’t really go to sweetgreen unless I am in the area and want a raw salad(which is still VERYGOOD). Also they offer seasonal soups that are also vegan friendly!

Watch out now… there’s a new greens bar in town. Between Greenleaf, Tender Greens and Veggie Grill, this little area of Hollywood already had its fair share of good veggie eats. But now enter sweetgreen and I have to say, there is always room for more. I passed by this place a few times before finally trying it out and I can’t believe it took me so long. Like the vibe, the culture(organic and local!) and especially the food. The menu looked amazing and I had no idea what to order. They had samples of the Earth Bowl(quinoa, farro, arugula, tomatoes, raw corn, chickpeas, broccoli and pesto vinaigrette.) It was so fresh and delicious that I just ended up ordering it. I took the chicken off and the dressing to make it vegan. The best part is that when you take the protein off, the price drops too. My bowl came out to the same price as a bowl at Chipotle or Shophouse and I would MUCH rather have this one. So happy this is in the hood now. BEETSDON’T KALEMYVIBE. I’ll be back!

The food here is fantastic. Very fresh. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the business. I came here after a spin class I took in Los Angeles but live in orange county. This will be one of my go to place says when I’m up in LA again.

Ambience + Décor: 5 stars Food + Drinks: 5 stars Service + Staff: 5 stars First, shout out to KATIE B. for hooking it up after a Unilocal Fit Club spin class! Free, healthy salads! Sweet! Thank you Katie B for putting this all together! You’re the best. And big thanks to sweetgreen for a delicious meal! Will definitely be back! After an intense spin class at Sunset Bike House, we managed to crawl into this place wobbly legs and all and were delighted to see the vast menu! There were many many options for custom made salads, but we went with the Guac Green and Rad Thai. The salads are made to order, right in front of you like Chipotle. You can see how fresh all the ingredients are, and they aren’t skimpy! Salads range from $ 10 onward, comes with a complimentary piece of bread. They have yummy looking teas and lemonades too. The décor was so minimalist and wonderful. Wood, concrete floors, white walls. Love the décor and style of the place. Our salads were delicious and SO filling! My Rad Thai was spicy(but not too spicy), crunchy with the cucumbers, and had a good amount of shrimp in it! I love the concept of eating like a Thai salad/spring roll in a salad form. Really tasty. My hubby’s Guac Green salad was really delicious too. Maybe a little too tangy with the vinaigrette but still a yummy salad. Love the chunks of avocado and chicken. Cute little restaurant right next to SugarFish on Sunset. Definitely check it out!

Thanks sweetgreen for your comp salad after Unilocal Fit Club! It allowed me to try a new restaurant in Hollywood that I otherwise probably would have never ventured into. PARKING– One hour free valet parking with validation from sweetgreen. Lot is off El Centro and Sunset, to the right. AMBIANCE– Reminds me of Chipotle but set in Hollywood. Clean cement floors, bright open windows, cute wall décor that has the seasons in cursive… you know, little random mundane things like that that kind of win my heart. FOOD– I ordered the OMG Omega and it didn’t disappoint. I subbed the cucumbers for onions and the staff member kindly allowed me to. When I went they were in the middle of making more steelhead, so I subbed chicken for steelhead and it still tasted amazing. I love love loved the plentiful arugula and subtle Asian twist with the nori and light ginger dressing. I usually prefer my dressing light, and medium dressing was perfect for me. Out of the signature salads, I would order OMG Omega again because it was that good. DRINKS– I was going to pay out of pocket for a juice, but the kind manager said she would also comp my drink because they didn’t have the steelhead I wanted! I got the cucumber ginger lime drink and it was light and refreshing. Looking back, I probably would have opted for another drink if I hadn’t just worked out but I wanted something light and healthy. Yay for refills. Overall, sweetgreen is like Chipotle-style ordering meets Souplantation-style offerings at a more high-end, Hollywood level. It’s pricier, but their simple ingredients are definitely more high-end, like arugula and steelhead. Free wifi definitely helped win my heart, too.

Sweetgreen isn’t my favorite salad joint, but it isn’t my least favorite, either. As someone from the east coast, a bunch of my friends told me to try this place as soon as it came to Los Angeles, so I have always had in the back of my mind but never went out of my way to do so. However, due to a series of fortunate events, I ended up at the Sweetgreen Hollywood location two separate times for a free salad thanks to Unilocal, and each time I was able to try a different salad. The first time I came here, I opted for the kale caesar salad with organic tofu on top. The staff walked me through the process as they made my salad from scratch which I found to be quite pleasant. The salad, however, was pretty dry, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the kale that tasted bland due to the lack of dressing and toppings mixed in. The second time I ate here, I was MUCH more impressed. I got the portobello mushrooms & wild rice salad with steelhead on top and everything in the salad was perfect. The salad reminded me of a nice autumn salad and it lasted me two meals. I got this salad with the cucumber tahini yogurt dressing which I loved also. If you come to this location, there is an hour of free valet parking with validation in a lot off of El Centro Street. There is plenty of seating at this location and the space is very friendly and modern with a Walt Disney quote painted on the wall :) If you want to order your food for delivery or pick up, they have an app for your phone where you can order your food online and rack up points, too.

Came by this place for the complimentary salad after one of the Unilocal’s Fit Club event. I honestly had no idea what to expect but I was super excited for some free food! Theres parking off of El Centro and you get a free 1 hour valet service with validation(The valet people whip your car around like they’re little nascar drivers). Anyways, I ended up ordering the hollywood bowl, which includes: organic wild rice, kale(that I substituted for spinach), jicama, grapes, raisins, sprouted almonds, goat cheese, roasted chicken and balsamic vinegar. They ask you how much dressing you’d like but I decided to ask for it on the side. The salad also comes with a side of bread. This salad was probably the best tasting salad i’ve ever had and the ingredients tasted fresh. The customer service was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and also very helpful with such lovely attitudes it seemed. They were more than willing to answer any questions. I’ll definitely be back sometimes soon!

I only came here because I got a BOGO coupon. Had it not been for the coupon, I doubt I would have ventured here. At around $ 11-$ 13 for a salad, the prices are too high for me. I am not a baller. I ordered the grapefruit and avocado salad which was one of their listed salads. They also have options to custom make your own salads and bowls. Anyway, the salad consisted of arugula, endives, shrimp, cucumbers, walnuts, mint, grapefruit, avocado and lemon garlic chili dressing. All enticing ingredients in my book. The person making my salad forgot to add the walnuts for which I kindly reminded him. Later on, I realized he also forgot to add cucumbers! Geez, please know your products! I asked for medium dressing, but there was still way too much. I hate soggy salad. I would suggest getting dressing on the side. This salad costs $ 12.25 before tax. I don’t think I would pay $ 13.35(after tax) for this salad, especially with missing ingredients. My friend who split the BOGO with me got a Hummus Tahina and the person making hers completely left off the HUMMUS! I still prefer Tender Greens down the street.

sweetgreen is a great addition to the Hollywood’s Columbia Square with its fresh ingredients, seasonal rotating yummy recipes, and welcoming staff. It’s nice to have another fresh option of «fast food» other than Tender Greens in Hollywood. | F O O D & B E V E R A G E S | Their menu is broken into different categories for your convenience: Seasonals, Grains, and Greens. This alone makes it significantly easier for a person as indecisive as myself, figure out what to order. Also, you can try about any of the items before you order. Fresh iced teas & waters made daily!(I like the Lemon Fresca + Jasmine Green Tea.) WILDCHILD(grains): organic wild rice + organic baby spinach, cilantro, peppers, raw beets, shredded cabbage, carrots, raw seeds, avocado, miso sesame ginger dressing — I ordered this without the raw beets and they were so nice to allow me to replace it with something else. :) This was such a yummy and filling meal; at less than 600 calories, my tastebuds and tummy were very, very happy! **You can also order online! | L O C A T I O N & P A R K I N G | Located in the new and beautiful Columbia Square, next door to Rubies+Diamonds. There’s 15 minutes &1 hour metered parking right in the front on Sunset Blvd(25¢ /15 minutes or $ 1 /hour). There’s also free [validated] 1 hour parking in the structure off Sunset Blvd & El Centro. | S E R V I C E | Customer service is really important to me when I walk into any business. I look for how friendly the staff was, were they knowledgable, were they helpful, etc. sweetgreen obviously took the time to get their staff right and trained well. I’ve been in a couple of times and have been greeted immediately, suggestions were offered based on my taste preference because I had no idea what to order, and all my questions were answered with the utmost knowledge. I’ve also walked by many times and each time a member of their team(either store or corporate) has greeted me warmly and remembered me from previous visits. A+‘s and gold stars are given from me! Ps. To the higher ups at sweetgreen, Alexis, is the sunshine in your store. Many thanks for her smiles, amazing service, and friendliness. :)

Absolutely delish! The team at this new to open sweetgreen location is incredible. Our office enjoyed a wide array of salads from their menu today, and not one disappointed. I had the Kale Caesar which after a quick 8 mile jog, left me feeling completely rejuvenated. Opening day is Monday, November 23rd from 10:30A — 10P with 100% of the days proceeds going to their local charitable partner, Garden School Foundation. How can you not back a business such as sweetgreen? Super stoked to have them on the left coast even more so to have them a block from my office! Go! You won’t regret it, unless of course you don’t like treating your body to things that taste incredible and are great for you. You can also order online at . Let’s not forget to mention… how ridic cute is their Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe bag!?! I’m convinced you need one of these to tote your goods home from the grocery store or the excessive number of salads you’ll want to order from here. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
