Swingers is a cool eclectic place imagine for a moment if the cast of characters from Pulp Fiction meets Jerry Springer, who gets knocked up by Guns and Roses and produced a love child… I mean where else do you see Hasidic Jews wolfing down bacon sitting next too and rubbing elbows with a group of 70’s rockers, next to a group from Greenpeace, sitting with the cast of Entourage, sharing a booth with Dog the bounty hunter and a crew from LA Ink alongside the Kardashian’s who took a table with a couple of transgender strippers and old porn stars oops maybe those were the Kardashian’s oh well you get the idea… It’s where the really cool eclectic hungry and horny late night crowd come to get there grub on and chill in a cool energetic space with a great vibe. It subtly rocks and nobody is judged or feels out of place where everything and I do mean everything is considered normal. Btw there is no cover but they do have a(12) tattoo minimum lol The staff is hired from the same gene pool and is the bomb. Truly sooo friendly, engaging and down to earth and really chill. It’s kind of like Hawaii time no rush, no hurry, no worries just chillin at Swingers. Oh yeah the food huge menu something for everyone it’s a diner afterall… The food is good not great not bad just ok but the vibe, the cast of characters and overall feel is as good as it gets seriously this places rocks especially at like 2am… When you don’t want your date to end, go home just yet, maybe get to know the three men, two women and a goat named Wally you just slept with or your hungry again this is the spot period end of story. It is truly the best people watching in the city seriously this is the spot. Trust me Swingers has like a cult following and should be on your to do bucket list of things to experience in LA… It’s truly an experience enjoy!

Even if I didn’t live across the street I’d travel to eat here. They have tons of vegan options, including chocolate chip pancakes on the weekends, and vegan cheesecake. The vegan breakfast burrito is delicious, and my friends can get breakfast with bacon and eggs so everyone is happy.

Cookie Casa owner down the block recommended this spot– they carry her baked goods, but sadly, she’s closing up shop 2÷27÷16. Diner has a nice retro look & nice staff; needed to grab something to eat quickly, and my requested patty melt came out pretty fast; it was mid afternoon on a weekday; patty melt was okay– meat needed more seasoning, bread was yummy and toasted right, few grilled onions were helpful, but overall, sandwich was on smaller side and forgettable; asked for crispy fries & they were perfect, not greasy at all. Hit the spot because I was hungry and staff was nice.

Swingers has a really cool 60s/70s vibe. From the décor to the way the waitresses are dressed(and tatted), it’s definitely a great place to get a taste of what a classic diner actually looked like. There is even a jukebox that plays music from time to time. We went for lunch and the menu is so diverse; you’ll spend a good amount of time trying to decide what you want. Only in LA will you find a classic diner that serves quinoa and ahi tuna. Typical LA for you. Since I don’t find that everyday at a diner, I decided to go with the Ahi Sandwich($ 10.95) and I thought it was pretty average. It comes with a side of your choice(fries or fruit). I liked the thick piece of ahi tuna and the toasted pumpernickel was pretty good but I didn’t think it had enough sauce. Supposedly there’s spicy wasabi mayo in the sandwich but you can hardly taste it. You can’t go wrong with fries at a diner and it lived up to expectations. In all, the atmosphere is pretty cool and the food is decent. Not spectacular but it got the job done.

Swingers is a step back in time located in Santa Monica. It is a retro diner type décor. The waiters are cool, hip, and creative looking young people with attitude to match the tattoos and Knee high socks and little skirts. Most of the time you just grab an open seat and see if anyone notices your there. Cool, I like it. Swing in and out this place rocks. Swingers is a well-maintained restaurant with an enticing diverse menu from vegan to all meat also there aren’t many places that serve food after 11 pm in Santa Monica and Swingers is one of them. There is something on the menu for everyone. I had the eggs and quinoa! It was so light and fabulous! It was the perfect portion and delicious! It was nice to not have a brunch that was covered in grease. Things were well priced. A lot of organic options and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well. They also serve beer and wine… Looking forward to next time food adventure at the Swingers.

Was there for breakfast, and the service was prompt. I felt they could have offered toast as an alternative, since I wasn’t having pancakes which came with my order. Also the huevos rancheros I had the day before was meh…

We pretty much always stay at the Beverly Laurel hotel when in LA and Swingers is very handily grafted on to the side of it. It’s a cool hipster diner sort of place, great for breakfast/brunch with with a bar for late night drinks too. It’s not quite 24 hours but pretty close to it and you can pretty much guarantee that you’ll hear aspiring actors talking to producers or scriptwriters if you hang around for an hour or two(it’s only a block from the CBS building).

If you need to phone in a to go order for pick up and an employee named Daniel answers the phone then you should either ask for someone else or hang up as you’re not going to get your food. This evening I called in a simple order, repeated everything I said twice(at his request) gave my name and phone number and yet when I arrived 20 minutes later no one could find my order. When I mentioned to the confused employee at the counter that my order was taken by someone named Daniel he looked concerned, checked in the back and then informed me that Daniel had never put my order in. It was just after 11pm on a Sunday night, the restaurant was NOT busy. I was offered a drink on the house while they made my order from scratch but having already driven 20 minutes starving the last thing I wanted was to wait another 20 for my forgotten food. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself I understand that mistakes happen but to fail to remember to put in an order over a 20 minute period seems like you shouldn’t be taking orders in the first place. I’m beyond disappointed.

If you come here at beverly hills, dont forget to come by at Swingers. The veggie burgers were great as were the vanilla on vanilla cupcakes. Funky place-good food-reasonably priced.

If you’ve ever seen me here past 2am, it’s because it’s 2005 and I was just at Beat It in Hollywood. Dancing to 80’s music would make me real dehydrated, so I’d go to Swingers and order coffee to keep my night going. It was never too difficult to accommodate our table of 8. My usual craving for cheese fries would quickly elevate to tofu chilaquiles or the vegan wrap. It was nice having vegetarian options at a late night diner. This place was always in a dead heat with Fred 62’s in Los Feliz for that same reason. I’ve been to the Santa Monica location more than this one, but this location always holds fond memories for me.

I’ve been coming here for years, and while I’ve fallen in love with this restaurant and its staff, I need to make a complaint: I came here tonight specifically for their fish tacos, and I can say they were mediocre at best. I’ve had better fish tacos from Del Taco’s drive through, which is unfortunate. Obviously management needs to wake up, because the decline in quality is sadly becoming more and more apparent.

So many awesome vegan and vegetarian options! It’s open late, adorable interior, and there’s a huge variety of delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner options. I recommend getting champagne and cupcakes, or the vegan burrito… Or the banana pancakes(add a side of peanut butter)! Also, they have great daily specials.

Swingers makes great turkey burgers. If you really want to go off the reservation order a rocket shake & get a side of ass kicking mac & cheese instead of fries. End with a brownie, they’re amazing here. The nice thing about Swingers is that they have yummy salads so people with you can eat healthy. Hang out & play the juke box or sit outside with your dog. This is a real insider place that’s always filled with celebs especially comedians from Saturday night live or people from the music biz.

I am becoming a regular here. I’m a vegetarian and the menu is full of options for me. It offers home style /comfort food, yet is healthier then the typical diner. It has an upbeat attitude, great prices, friendly and quite competent staff, good food– and a lot of personality!

Best late night spot! Sheesh I would even come here anytime of day. I loved the quinoa poached eggs! It was so delicious. Perfectly seasoned. And the peach cobbler HOT with the COLD vanilla ice cream was the PERFECT combo! The service was EXCELLENT! Got a cute and friendly waitress :)

2.5 stars. Got a breakfast burrito to go and added chicken sausage. the burrito was not a mexican breakfast burrito by any means, and overall was just really bland. the positive i would say is that there was actual egg in it(oftentimes i can’t taste the egg in most breakfast burritos), and a good amount of chicken sausage. they also gave a side of guac and tomatillo salsa with it that i liked. I would come here if i wanted classic eggs or maybe even an omelet, but anything other than that I would recommend going somewhere else.

Just keeping it simple with coffee, however their food is always tasty as ever. I went there for my birthday last year and starred at their amazing cupcakes and never even ate one. Just looked at them.

Had the opportunity to eat here with a new friend and it was the perfect environment to share stories and talk about anything. The diner is set up very nicely with tons of seating. The staff is dressed so adorable and the food was outstanding. I would say it is your average food but the service and environment make it a 5 star experience. Great stop for mooring coffee or breakfast for lunch :)

We had great service. Staff is friendly, polite and attentive. All that we ordered was good. We came in at around 2am with kids! Nevertheless, we felt welcome, safe and we were able to satisfy our hungry tummies with good food. I will definitively recommend this place. The music was loud, but it added to the ambiance and it was totally fine and enjoyable to our table of 6 people.

What a great diner! Friendly staff and great food. They have a great selection of food and vegan/vegetarian dishes. Very classic all american style of food. This place has been here since 1993. Their breakfast menu is off the hook. Plus they serve breakfast all day. Try this place out. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Happy I discovered this diner! One late night we wanted some quick and easy diner food and didn’t want Dennys. This place is open really late which is perfect too. Breakfast served all day, which is quite yummy. The waffle was very good, and they use organic eggs! Yay! The service was fairly quick and friendly — straight to the point which is the best. For coming here pretty late at night, it was decently packed too, but we were seated right away. The only thing is that parking was a little hard to find. There’s metered street parking near, but I think that’s it.

(Dined 02÷20÷15 F @ 8:00pm and many times before): It’s all about«Love, American Style» in this hopping late-night eatery! The end of a lazy Friday had arrived, and a friend and I decided to hit up Swingers Diner, a place we and others used to frequent during our college days or when we needed someplace to unwind after a night of bar-hopping and clubbing(that’s a long time ago, folks!). Those times were few and far between now, but like that old worn pair of jeans, it was nice to know you still had them, and it always felt so good when you slipped into them on those rare occasions. How was there fit these days!?: [ONIONRINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT — 4.5 of 5STARS] Onion Rings($ 5.50) — A staple menu item I always ordered whenever I came here. The only knock I had on them was that they were not Sweet Maui Onions… so damn you Jax Bar & Grill for introducing me to your creation ! The portion size was good with assortment of all shapes and sizes, gorgeously golden brown with delectable darker spots, each one crispy and crunchy, and the onion itself was thick and didn’t pull out when you bit into it. The ranch dressing was rather watery, but I usually used Ketchup anyway. Peanut Butter & Banana Ice Cream Shake($ 5.50) — The King himself would’ve been proud of this homage to one of his favorite meals. Heck, all it was missing was some toast thrown into the mix for a liquidfied sandwich! This was a meal in itself, and although it wasn’t as «nearly-sucked-my-lungs-out» Jack-In-The-Box thick, it was pretty damn close! Both namesake flavors where prevalent throughout every slurp and suck. Lactose-intolerant be damned, I was willing to accept and suffer any consequences that followed. My only gripe was that you didn’t get any«reserve» shake in the metal container as most places offered. Service — Immediately greeted by a friendly HOT tatted-up female hostess/server, our time here was going to be another winner. This place always had extremely attractive females(did males even work here!?) whom at times were scantily clad(sex sells!), but they were always ready to take your order and serve your every need. After we placed our respective orders, our drinks and food arrived less than ten minutes later. We were checked on regulary as our water glasses were filled, and when we were just chilling, there was no rush to get us out of there. Their shit don’t stink; they knew all about customer service! Parking(Free) — They had a small private lot across the street that held no more than 16 cars. Otherwise, there was plenty of metered and non-metered street parking along the main drag of Beverly Blvd. and all surrounding streets. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — The definition of the word«diner» would nearly sum this place up perfectly, with its fleather cherry-red upholstered booths, squeeky low-sitting plaid chairs at the eater-counter , randomness posted and hung on the walls, and a casual familiarness that exuded from both the servers and customers. The electric lighting was a tad annoying as it created shadows everywhere, but during the daytime plenty of natural lighting swept through the large windows that surrounded the joint. There were no TVs but a jukebox that blared excellent rock & roll music. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I was always down for some hanky-panky at Swingers Diner anytime of day… or night. Their food was consistently good at reasonable standard prices, service was on-point, and the general vibe of the place made you felt at home. Although they served alcohol(no Happy Hour) I’ve never ordered any since I was usually trying to sober-up. This was a diner Quentin Tarintino would be proud of. And remember, «Ass, Cash Or Grass Nobody Eats For Free» ! I found exceptionally good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total bill was around $ 12.00 before tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 4.5STARS

Huge Swingers fan, just not this location. We’d been going to the Santa Monica location for brunch for years, and when visiting this location we were not impressed. The food tasted different and was mediocre at best. We were surprised at how poor our experience was. To get the best experience of Swingers, I’d say hit up Santa Monica and enjoy the beach scene after!
