My favorite coffee spot even though it’s not cheap(quality comes at price), the drinks are made well, there are some good organic food and gluten free pastries as well

Cool play area for little kids. But for the coffee, this was the worst almond milk latter I have ever had.

Quality you can taste, the coffee is very good here what more can you want. Take a look at the wall menu and they have every hipster ingredient under the sun. At first we were confused because of the overall list(what should we add in our iced coffee?) of ingredients.

It’s great to be back. Swork has excellent coffee and snacks and a very good space to get some work done. They even have a baby play area which is a real community builder. Parking a car around here is easy and parking a bike is even easier. Wi fi is reliable and fast. Yes, 5 stars easily deserved. They are doing everything right.

I come to Swork quite often to work. I work remote, and having a place I can sit down, with power and internet, all in an actual dedicated working area — that, to me, is spectacular. I’ve been to most of the other«top rated» coffee shops in LA that tout being the perfect shop to work at — and they are all the same, just tables with free Wifi, with people watching YouTube movies or surfing Facebook. The same people you find in Starbucks using their free WiFi is what you find in those other places. It’s too noisey, the internet is super slow or unreliable, people are constantly coming and going — the environments just aren’t conducive to work. Swork also has something not many other places have, which is a little kid/toddler play area. Your kids can play, drink a warm milk and chomp on a pastery, all in a contained area. You can sit there with them on the benches along the side, or you can sit in the main area, just a few feet away. My kids love coming here, they know they get a treat and can play a bit, and my wife and I get some peace of mind knowing it’s a good place to bring the kids. I’m not a coffee pro, by far, so I think their lattes and coffee is fine. My wife is more the expert, and she rates them around a 6 – 7 on a 10 point coffee scale. They also have milk substitutes, like soy, almond, hemp, coconut and rice«milks». They do also carry pastries and some light snacks, water, juices(both bottle and fresh squeezed), and carry bags of coffee beans and other random coffee shop items. The parking can be a bit of a pain if you’re coming here to work. There is metered parking with either 1 or 2 hour limits, depending where you find a space — and the meter maids are HAWKS — they are there waiting when you meter expires, so be careful. I’ve got probably 1 or 2 tickets a month. :( Overall, best place I’ve found in LA to work from. If that’s what you want to do, this is a place is where you want to go. If you have kids and want a coffee break and to take a second to catch your breath, again, this place is an excellent option. But if you’re looking for some real food(like a meal) or excellent coffee, maybe keep Unilocaling :)

The place is nice, liked the décor. The service was good, very friendly service. The drinks that she recommended were all good. When we got there we sat down for about 15min before we ordered we didn’t feel pressured or unwelcome or forced to place an order before sitting down. I hate when some coffee shops or restaurants push you to make a decision it tends not to go well. The prices were a lil higher than I expected I spend $ 11+ on my Calming Moon Tea & Mayan Latte 16oz then in most coffee shops but will definitely will go back.

Thank goodness for this place. Just moved to the neighborhood and haven’t gotten my home office up and running, so I’ve been reporting to Swork like it’s my workplace. I like how welcome folks are to work there, I never feel like I’m overstaying my welcome, and the please-buy-something-every-couple-hours rule is totally fair and gives me an excuse to break and sample one of their many snacks. One note: the vegan gf cookies people say are SOGOOD are just not good. Those people have been vegan and gf for so long they have forgotten what cookies are supposed to taste like.

Mexican Mayan Mocha, yum. Cute ambiance, local to Pasadena, Glendale, Mt Washington residence. Parking, eh. Staff just doing their job. Good selection of teas as well.

I discovered this street corner coffee joint while in Eagle Rock on a work project. I like that they use great bean sources, including Intelligentsia. I sampled a deep, rich dark roast that hit the spot on a cold afternoon. The crew was very pleasant, the prices were reasonable, and the place was roomy. The only downside is there’s limited parking in the area.

Several occasions I have been treated with no respect. The phone lines are impossible to get through. The coffee tastes burnt, smells like some one has been licking an old bbq grill. Unprofessional, over priced, hipster joint. The staff are rude.

Review is for vanilla ALMONDMILK latte… It’s not like I couldn’t drink it, it’s just that it only tasted like almond milk! I ordered vanilla almond milk latte but I couldn’t taste the coffee and vanilla! It was weird. I didn’t go back to complain but I know I wouldn’t come back. $ 4.75 for almond milk ain’t worth it. A carton of almond milk at Ralphs is less than the the one cup I got here!

Got coffee here this morning. The coffee is great. The baristas are very friendly and knowledgable. I highly recommend swork if you want a good cup of coffee in Eagle Rock. On a side note, there was a bonfire crazy person who demanded that his hot cocoa be in a special mug that they didn’t have and then blocked all customers until he got his money back exactly the way he wanted it. I’ve never seen a more horrible customer in my life. The employees of Swork handlers it brilliantly even with a long line of people. They deserve hazard pay.

I came here with three gals after an afternoon snack sesh at 5 Line Tavern. It seemed to be peopled by 20/30-somethings working on their laptops. The somewhat-crowded factor aside, the mayan mocha I ordered was absolutely delicious, and the service was fast and friendly! As far as being able to gab goes, we made do, but it was quite crowded, however, I should add that we came on a Sunday afternoon and during the Eagle Rock Block Party so I tend to err on the side of the crowd being atypical.

First time here and staff was able to recommend drinks for me. Great tasting coffee — Swiss Latin Latte — with ½ sweet(contains condensed milk). I paid cash(receipt wasn’t given automatically). Great place to do work with a time limit. Needed to ask for password for WiFi. Needed a key to use restroom. Wasn’t as crowded on a Friday. There’s also a play space for children or adults :)

Been coming here since I was a kid with my dad to get out of the routine of going to other over popular coffee shops. Very kid friendly with their play area and the hot chocolate is always the best bet for kids. Since then, I have grown into other drinks here like their espresso specialties and most of all their exquisite lattes. And you can never go wrong on their food menu from baked goods to salads. The café is very cozy for reading or just getting work done for school or career. For anyone who wants to get out of the massed produced coffee shops even just for one day, Swork Coffee Bar is the way to go.

I love the amount of space they dedicate for laptops and/or catching up, and I understand their reasoning for the 2-hour wifi limit after catching an earful of the owner on KPCC some time ago, but the last couple of times I have been in, I felt the place was lacking a welcome mat, of sorts. The employees don’t offer up their services in any way until you are practically casting a shadow over the card machine. I get that the menu is pretty simple and laid out on high in readable font above them, but not a hello, what are you thinking, did you see our special drink of the month rolls off their tongues. Not even a faint raise of the eyebrow in acknowledgement that you’re there and you’ve chosen the small mom and pop over the commercialized joint across the way. Why am I harping on service instead of the coffee, you ask? Because I feel like it’s very much part of the café experience, so it means a lot to me, especially when the coffee wasn’t a stand alone 5 star and when I asked for almond milk the staff member helping me neglected to inform of the $ 1.50 extra(not swork’s fault… bee’s, the drought). It didn’t register when she said my latte was $ 7ish but it did when she turned the payment device over to me and I saw the $ 1.50 come to life on the screen. A head’s up would have been appreciated but the mum’s the word or can’t be bothered vibe further added to the lackluster customer service experience. The have a cute kids area, so if you’re a mom looking for a play date that has extra cash burning a hole in her mom wallet, swork will do the trick!

Waking up at 5 am, followed by an hour commute thru dtla to look forward to a 12 hr work day. I was only able to keep up for so long and decided to look for a café nearby with the thirty minutes I normally had left to spare. Swork came to my rescue :) The first day I got a latte. The latte I got had a little too much milk for my taste although it was creamy and comforting, but not enough caffeine to get the day started. The next time I got a small Americano. Thank goodness I only got a small, because before feeling its effects I thought it was too small. zomg I was ONONE at work. My legs couldn’t stop moving and I was finishing everything too quickly for my own good, and way more peppy than usual. I was going around asking all my coworkers if they needed any help, to an annoying degree. hahaha I think it even put me in a better mood. Their Americanos are dangerous. They go down so smoothly, no bitterness at all. There’s plenty of street parking although metered — I got away without putting anything in the meter cause I would just quickly order something and head over to work. Inside there’s a few tables. It appears a lot of people like to come to chit chat or have pastries together with coffee for breakfast. It’s a cute spot :)

I love coffee and had some high expectations for this place and was disappointed. I ordered their most popular drink which was the Eagle Roca. How can you go wrong with a drink name like that? The drink was good but way overpriced for what it’s worth. I expected a deeper coffee flavor and maybe a more distinct almond roca flavor. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I miss this place’s décor. They had beautiful visuals throughout and the layout seemed more like a living room space, which I loved! Will you bring the warm feelings back, please? :) It’s gone through many changes and it feels a little cold now. I don’t go as much as I used to but it’s still a great place for drinks and meetups. I like that they have a space for children to play in and they keep it stocked with toys and books — hence the 4 stars. I also like that they have healthy treats. Definitely, it’s a step up from coffee chains.

Been to Swork a handful of times for their coffee, lattes, tea and baked goods. It’s a step up from Starbucks in my opinion. I must say, their cappuccino was memorable. The place deco is clean lines. Nothing spectacular. It’s a coffee shop. Staff are not consistently cordial, but that’s okay, I’m not here to socialize. There’s metered parking on Eagle Rock Blvd and Colorado Blvd. I normally don’t stay long. Just get my brew, and keep moving.

Accepts credit cards, no minimum. Yeay!!! Very important to me at this poor moment of mine. VERY child friendly! They have a decent sized play area for little kids and they also have a diaper changing station in the bathroom, as well as a little step stool for the kiddies to reach the sink. Wifi is only up to 2 hours with each purchase. Lots of outlets. Parking — metered street parking but there are also residential spots for free and unlimited amount of time. Staff is extremely friendly! I had a latte and it was delicious!!!
