Ta Fong Restaurant Supply

Great prices. And a huge inventory of things. I have been to Star Restaurant Supply in Van Nuys and I love that store too. The prices here are even cheaper than Star. Ta Fong is more of a warehouse and the place is less orderly and clean than Star (as others have said its a dusty warehouse) but you’ll find some great finds here if you’re a foodie and love to cook.
Personally, there’s a lot of people who’d rather pay for ambiance and attentive service. This place doesn’t have those qualities but rather make up for it in rock bottom prices and selection. I guess that’s why I like those hidden restaurant gems that serve great food cheaply even though the ambiance may be suspect (think ‘B’ or ‘C’ health department rated places.

friendly, clean. they’ve got what you need and a few other things you didnt know you needed. had sinks in stock same day. good price. take cards. helped load to vehicle. strong muscular chinese men.

This place isn’t exactly the cleanest place but its like any other wholesale retail in the area. They gave me a great grand opening schedule and were on time with everything.
After searching around for 1 ½ months I found them easily the cheapest. I was able to order things at a very good price and would definitely come back.
When i went there were massive amounts of togo boxes and cups pallets stacked on top of each other. I didn’t ask the price but i’ll report back.
If you’re like me and price is your main concern i’d forgo some dust to save me money.

Don’t be fooled by the clean professional website. This place is basically a big dusty warehouse. The employees are rude, and half of the supplies are out of their packaging and covered with grime. Anything bought here should be washed thoroughly. Also important to note, this place is cash only but still charges tax, although that could be because I couldn’t speak chinese to the woman at the counter.
The only reason this place got anything from me is because they were nearby and very inexpensive.
