This place is delish! The buffet can use a little more variety– but what’s great is that EVERYDISH on the buffet is flavored just right. Not over-powering or heavy on the spices– just perfectly balanced. Props to the chef! Love this place definitely worth coming back. Can’t wait to try the rest of their dishes!!! My advice– even though the buffet is on point, don’t just go for the buffet(there are only like 5 items) go for the stuff on the menu. Service is great– giving them 5 stars because I have been craving them since I’ve had it.

Yes please! Delicious! Great service too. Even the Brit in our party was impressed. Thank you, Taj Mahal!

This place is by far the best Indian food in Los Angeles! Nicest family as well. They make you feel at home.

We went to order chicken and asked them for their specialty. They suggested Karachi chicken and it was really pathetic. This ruined our day and really bad experience. I would not suggest this place to visit. Please careful and be their on your own risk.

The BEST tikka masala everrrr! Both the chicken and tofu are amazing. I also loveeeee the sag paneer. Owned and operated by the sweetest family. I love supporting family run businesses. They deliver food quite far, which is great for you Angelenos. Literally the best Indian food I’ve ever had, corroborated by many of my friends as well!

Buffet is worst. No taste. When asked for bowls they didn’t have one. Had to wait for roti.

Quaint atmosphere, good service, and great food. Perfect for a quiet date night. The food is seriously awesome and ideal for takeout if you don’t feel like dining in.

I’ve been eating here for nearly 7 years now. Great food, and everyone I’ve brought here loves it as well. Try the saag tofu, it’s amazing! This place also makes my favorite chana masala.

One of the best things about my old hood was living near Taj Mahal… my favorite Indian place in all of LA… so my move away included many sad face emojis. Imagine my excitement when I went to Unilocal indian food and Taj Mahal popped up with the delivery or take out option. GASPS… the delivery to my new hood. I know its only 4 miles away but 4 miles in LA can mean 45 mins in hellish traffic. I took the chance and ordered. Yes delivery took hella long but it was worth it! Nothing has changed. The medium spice option stil has the right amount of kick. The curries are just as creamy and delish as I remember. Get the Tikki Masala medium. Its not too sweet and perfectly spiced. I always order chicken and you get big chunks of white meat. Worth the delivery wait.

Went here for a lunch buffet. Never mad a faster U-Turn! After seeing that pitiful excuse for a buffet, one can only hope that the clientele for dinner is better business. We disappeared through the se doors we’d excitedly entered, leaving the one attendant alone in the empty restraint! The conundrum: — 1 meat option — a few unrecognizable vegetable options — sad presentation the end. I’m convinced that the reviews of five stars are either hired, have terribly low standards or visited this establishment under another régime.

This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had! I brought my aunt, who has a favorite Indian place in Manhattan(NYC), and she said this place is right up there with it. Their tikki masala is not too sweet. I got the delicious vegetarian option Aloo Gobi(cauliflower & potatoes) with medium spice– it’s just right for those that enjoy some spice but nothing that makes you suffer lol… The samosas are perfect and the Keema Nan(nan studded with minced lamb/beef and spices) might be the most delicious thing I’ve ever had. Especially when dipped in the tikki masala sauce! The guys that work there are so nice and they deliver to my house in the neighborhood too(via bike! Way to be environmentally friendly)

This is about the lunch buffet only. Sorry to say I was very disappointed. The tandoori chicken was overcooked dry and mealy. The vegetable dishes were yellow dal(didn’t taste), spinach with potatoes, green beans with something unidentifiable, and cabbage with sweet potatoes. The three vegetables I ate all tasted the same. They were bland and overlooked. That was okay for the cabbage, but not so for the other two. I really wanted it to be good. I live nearby. What can I say nice? The naan was good. The other chicken dish was way better than the tandoori, but even it was chopped into bony little dark meat chunks. It might have been chicken makhni. I should have asked. The server was attentive. The décor is pleasant enough and the price was very cheap. I guess it’s true that you usually get what you pay for.

Friendly staff… Chicken Vindaloo was so dry my boyfriend was scared to swallow it… Heat was on point. Vegetable masala tasted like veggies mixed with sour cream… ZERO flavor in that dish. Samba was good, Idly was dry, masala dosa was good. Garlic Naan was so weird and undercooked. Fish tandoori was decent. Won’t be back ;(

A good go-to on the weekday take out kind of place. Being Indian, I always ask them to not add cream to the matar-paneer and they are very accommodating. I know that they make the paneer in house and that makes me very happy. I think their food is pretty decent when I’m in a hurry and really craving Indian food. Also note, I believe they are on Eat24 so they have a pretty robust delivery service too for those of you too lazy to leave your house :) There is usually street parking available in front of the restaurant. Depending on the time of day, you may have to feed the meters. Restaurant staff is pretty friendly and I have met the owner a few times. The restaurant has a lot of sit-down space but I would probably personally never come here for dinner. I think the ambiance is a bit dated and tacky. Maybe for non-Indians, they wouldn’t know the difference :)

I will be nice, but the lunch buffet was not very tasty. For $ 7.95 you get what you pay for but not necessarily because I have had similar pricing for lunch buffet and its quite tasty. But not here, I am sorry to say. We came by on a Tuesday at 12:30pm for the lunch buffet, because reviews seems good. NOT! We were there for an hour and not one person came in. At least we did not feel ill after. However honestly the food was tasteless. 1. Lunch Buffet variety: POOR 2. Taste: POOR I wonder if all of these reviewers have had Indian food before because I have had many and for some reason the buffet had no flavor and little variety.

This is the 2nd time I’ve had Indian food and i LOVE it. Chicken Tikka Masala($ 10) A staple. I think this is like one of the most popular dishes when you dine at an Indian restaurant. SODELICIOUS! I loved everything about this dish. We got medium and it was pretty spicy. Sag Paneer($ 8) At first it wasn’t my favorite but once you throw on some mango chutney, it was amazing! Coconut Malai curry($ 10) I love anything coconut. If you don’t like coconut then don’t get this dish. It has a heavy coconut cream taste. We got this in mild and i think it would have been better if we got it medium spicy. Chicken was a bit dry though. Garlic naan($ 2.50) SOMUCHGARLIC. Soft and fluffy naan makes me happy but i wish i had more Mango Chutney($ 3) My manfriend wanted me to try this so they gave us a little bit to try. LOVEDIT. It added a new dimension to the dishes. Mango Lassi($ 3.50) Mango drink. It tasted like a mango yogurt dessert. VERY good. We came for lunch and it was completely empty. Didn’t think it would be good at all but i was pleasantly surprised when the food came out. The portions are small but surprisingly filling because the curry is so heavy. Everything tasted amazing but the chicken was a bit dry for my liking. Street parking if you could find it. It took us a few rounds to find parking. I want to try the Tandoori chicken so I’ll definitely be back

Great Indian Food! My favorites were the veggie marsala, the nam bread and the tandoori chicken. The menu is large with lots of great options to choose from. Its an easy place to go for a group dinner or a quick casual meal. The service is a little slow but very friendly. The décor is not anything fancy but it is a causal Indian restaurant. I will definitely be back!

The ambience could be a little better. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, but I’m not a huge fan of red lighting at night. Makes me feel like I’m in a Redlight district or something. It was very dim, and the decorations were a bit outdated. The service was good, and the family members who run it do a good job about making customers feel welcome. I got the chicken korma, which was $ 10. It came with rice, which is nice. However, the rice didn’t taste like basmati rice, more like jasmine. The Korma itself was good, but didn’t have a rich a flavoring as some of the other places I’ve been. Not sure if this is a more authentic version of the dish or not. My friend got a salad and the chicken tandoori, which he said he liked very much. I tried a bit, and found the chicken to be well-cooked and not bone-dry and hard. The sweet lassi was delicious… my first time turning down mango lassi for something else.

La calidad de la comida es realmente excepcional. Un pelo caro, para la decoración, y el estilo de restaurante, pero muy recomendable.
