Hidden little sweet divey place. Friendly bartenders. The girls are really sweet. Good environment and prices. Not too crowded which is great because I don’t like crowds and hipster places. Galvatron(bacardi 151, patron & makers mark) if you want to get f*cken up. Order the Tamari Ninniku(spy marinated garlic) as a snack and you won’t be disappointed. Will def be back when I’m in the area. See you soon bar c!

I’m not normally a bar person; I enjoy a drink, but usually to pair with food. But if I do go to a bar, it’s for the people(slowly getting into cocktails and mixed drinks…): nice ambience and décor don’t hurt, but it’s all about the people. I’ve been to Bar C when it’s packed; I’ve been there when it’s empty. .always the bartenders and waitresses are chill, friendly, and welcoming — like it should be at bars but very often isn’t. . Bars are like clothes or wine — each has its own taste and style, and if you like it, enjoy! And if you don’t, move on. . Bar C and Blue Collar are my two favorite dives… A note about the food: the beef noodle soup is highly regarded, supposedly taught and made old school Taiwanese style; the kawahagi was interesting(in a good way) but the takoyaki last night was just gross: soggy wet, barely any tako(octopus) bits and all in all just a gross mess. Or as my drinking companion said(normally the sweetest, most elegant and cultured young lady…) «It reminds me of an old man’s balls. .I imagine Hugh Hefner’s balls taste like this. .» DOH! I guess they were pretty bad..

A sports bar with furry walls and servers dressed as French maids… what is there not to like? How about overpriced drinks and so-so service? You can buy a bottle and keep it at the bar all month in your name. So, that’s cool. But, Bar C is a on-time-try kind of spot. Grab a bottle of some $ 30 sake, stroke the furry wall, enjoy the way-too-conservative French maid outfits, and move on.

PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE order the Galvatron(a REALLY strong drink) when you come here. You’ll get a special musical and visual surprise when you do, which is worth the trip alone. Besides the Galvatron this place has a great atmosphere and vibe. When I went with my two buddies it was nurse night, so all of the waitresses were dressed in nurse outfits and even administered jelly shots through a syringe. They were even nice enough to have us pose in some photos with them. The drinks were great, the food was good, and all of the waitresses had a great sense of humor, which added to the experience. Come here for a night with the buds. You’ll be thanking me after you have a fantastic time.

Went for the 1st time on a date last year.” I’m not a bar person but this was more of a casual, intimate setting.” Food was tasty and the Plum Wine was memorable! The waitresses were very pleasant as well! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you for a great experience!

This is a nice, cozy bar in Little Tokyo and it is perfect for drinking with friends. All of the waitresses were dressed in French Maid outfits.

Best bar ever. The maid outfits are super cool but more then that. The girls who work here are really cool and friendly. The drink prices are fair. You can buy a bottle and they save it for you all month with your name. This is a great place to go pre party or after party. I’ve been too many bars and if you live with in a few miles of Bar C — then you need to come here at least once a week. The more you go here the more fun it is. Think of it like a gym. You will get better results after you put in more time. It’s worth your energy. This bar and ppl who drink here are A+

Ok… It’s 6:35pm on a Saturday and I want food and drinks. The«French maid» waitress that I heard would tickle my fancy is actually from Commerce, the cook doesn’t come in til«7 – 7:30» and the available fare is fried only… Because that’s what the waitress can make… Um, lol! I can’t leave this without a positive item… The lychee martini is good

This is a very small bar. It’s a bit gothic and only meant for small groups of 4 or less. The waitresses are all maids, go figure? They serve alcohol, beer, soju, sake, and wine. Pick your liquor poison. They do have small tapas food as well. Since it’s small and intimate, you’re very close to your neighbors. That can be a good or bad thing. If they are drunk and obnoxious, bad thing. If they are cute, cheerful, talkative, good thing! It’s a coin flip.

This place is bizarre and kooky but all in all a decent bar. The place has furry walls and funny décor overall but plays sports games on tv ilke any other bar. Came here while waiting to eat at Sushi Gen. The bartenders are dressed in French maid outfits and we just had a couple drinks while we waited. They also serve food and it looked to be of the typical fried gastropub variety. Service was quick and very friendly and pours were pretty generous. Definitely a fun place to check out and a decent spot for some drinks.

Bar C is a Japanese bar in the heart of Little Tokyo. It’s very small and not a lot of space in my opinion. I brought a group of friends here for their birthday. During Birthday’s I heard that the maid’s give birthday spankings. They actually use a real belt. It was kinda weird… since the waitresses are wearing maid costumes. The look store bought so they were skimpy? It seems like this location is trying too hard with the sex appeal without being too risqué. I forgot what drink I actually got but it was pretty tasty. I definitely enjoyed it. Maybe I enjoyed it too much? My bad. My birthday friend got the most expensive drink called the Galvatron. There’s even a song and music video that the maid’s put on when the person orders it. It is CRAZY. It almost makes you feel like you took acid. But you didn’t. I think this place has terrible seating. I feel like my group was very crowded and didn’t have enough space. Maybe that’s just me but I felt very cramped. This location is definitely for the wow factor and the silly waitresses in maid costumes. After the first time, I think it’ll be my last time. The drinks are aite I guess.

Very cute bar; I also absolutely love the atmosphere here! The Waitresses here also wear french maid outfits. The seating was also very comfortable; if you get to sit in the sofa’s that is. The bar sitting isn’t quite as comfortable as I’d like though. The lighting is also dimmed a bit, so it has a lot more of a relaxing feeling to it. I also really love the fact that they don’t blast the music to the point where you can’t even hear the person you are talking to. The drink menu itself is very nice, they also have a good selection of Sake to choose from. If you’re looking for a drink to put some hair on your chest, try the Galvatron, it consists of Maker’s Mark, Patron, and Bacardi 151. Also be sure to ask them to put on the Galvatron Music Video for you. ;) Anyway, I would highly recommend this place if you want to go somewhere that’s a bit on the unique side, but also calm and relaxing, with a good selection of alcohol.

This is a «maid bar». All the cocktail waitresses are dressed in maid costumes to serve(go figure…). Although I like how intimate and friendly this bar was, their drinks were not that great. The one I ordered was some kind of vodka mix and it was so sugary that I felt that I was drinking sugar water the entire time. The cute thing about this place is that if you order their heavy hitter, «Galvatron» then they would play a special music video for you that shows you the effect of the drink. Finally, if it is your birthday, then all waitresses(maids), will take turn spanking you with a leather belt… I’ve witnessed them doing it to a guy, but I am not sure if they will do so to girls.

Weird. But a good weird. The place is pretty small but it’s cozy. Also, the music was a mix between 90’s music and Japanese music. I only came here to drink. I got some sake and my friend ordered the Galvatron(Maker’s Mark, Patron, Bacardi 151). The best part was the bartender, who was wearing a French maid outfit, and she was very friendly. We had a fun time chit chatting with her and she was really knowledgeable about sake. Overall, drink selection is on point and the friendly bartender made it a good experience.

This place is so RANDOM~! What made this place so random? — Maid Café? — Decore — Music One of the first things I noticed was the workers uniforms. I’m guessing the owner is going for a Japan ‘Maid Café” style? Mehhh, not really pulling it off =/ The decore. Where do I start? Ummm. Its just odd. It looks like two maybe three people had their own style and just threw it all over the place. I think the weirdest thing was the furry walls. Finally the music, The music was 90s hip hop. The only reason why this was random was because they are trying to pull off a maid café with this weird decore. The whole place is just confusing to me. However this place does have a nice selection of sake, wine and whiskey. I’m definitely a fan of their alcohol list: D

Super tiny, eccentric, eclectic, maid’s bar. Overpriced. Waitresses dressed up as maids. Old fashion/Goth Décor. Small crowd and location. Galvitron(makers mark, patron, bacardi 151) That’s all you need to know. The food is expensive and nothings spectacular. The drinks are pretty standard LA prices. No reason to come besides that fact that you’re hoping to get really F* up with the galvatron shots. and to enjoy the amazing video.

Lame. No crowd is an understatement. Came on a weekend night with a handful of friends to bar hop. Only one other table. So sad. We ordered champagne to celebrate a new job. House champagne is super cheap supermarket champagne. But the price is like marked up 800%. Truth. So not exaggerating. Needless to say, we didn’t stay long. Two stars for cute maid costumes and lots of jenga and other board games to entertain. Peculiar place.

Tapas & Winebar C is like an alien alternate reality that somehow was able to slip through a space/time warp in the fabric of our own universe. Harking back to an old 1960’s bizarre/campy Japanese movie by the name of Kuro Tokage or Black Lizard, the heroine, a transvestite/transsexual, would find T&WB C to be a natural lair in which to lounge & indulge in finding perfect specimens of men to preserve for her collection. Dr. Frankenfurter, another transvestite/transsexual of Rocky Horror Show fame, would also probably find this boîte de nuit to be a place to find his Brad & Janet. This bar space is an eclectic mix of animé sensibilites, Japanese kitsch, a touch of goth, and walls & doors made of plush, furry fabric that outdoes the caca brown shag carpeting on the walls of Elvis’ Graceland. Top that with the waitresses in French Maid outfits, the entire atmosphere at T&WB C borders on the surreal until you look at the wide screen TV’s above that is televising American football to cater to the single men who line the bar sitting in high bar stools. We sat in the section with upholstered chairs creating cozy nooks. The cute animé waitresses in French maid outfits came & handed us the menus. I did a fast look see & found that their Sake(sah keh) list is extensive with interesting unusual acquisitions that piqued my interest. The prices on many of the Sake was reasonable. I picked a never before ordered Gokuraku Oyaji or Blissful Old Man, Junmai Ginjo, Tottori, Japan. Overall, a smooth, initially rather dry Sake that mellowed out as it breathed to a more medium sweetness. The 180ml glass container can be taken home to take on the new duty of becoming a water glass. Instead of throwing away the bottle, the Sake container does double duty thus extending its life of usefulness. I also ordered the Gyo-za or pot stickers which were ample in size. The ground pork meat seemed to be mixed with garlic, onions, finely chopped cabbage & green onions and put into won ton wheat wrappers fried on one side then water added to steam the entire gyo-za. Meaty with the won ton skin acquiring al dente, crispy texture. A ponzu(pone zoo) sauce was included to up the gastrique & soy sauce Umami. This bar is a place where you have to see to believe. Truly unique atmosphere that goes beyond what American style bars usually fear to tread. The only comparable place that I can think of off hand would be Buffalo Bruce’s Mercantile in Sylmar, California. Both of them deserve to be visited at least once in order to tick them off the bucket list. 3+ Unilocal stars, but the outlandishness of it all ups it to 4 stars.

This bar would of been a 4 star had it not been for the poor customer service. But it’s a very unique bar and worth a gander if you’re in the area. It was an unexpected find after our meal at sushi gen next door. The shady metal doors made the place seem like a S&M club or a dive bar. At 11pm I really didn’t know what to expect when we decided to take a chance and just see what’s inside. A full wine and sake bar with waitresses dressed in maid outfits was definitely not what I imagined in my head. We sat down and ordered a sake and a glass of wine that’s made in Japan. I personally didn’t like either of the drinks but now I can say for sure I don’t like Japanese wine! They have a large collection of both sake and wine from all over the world, so I will have to try some of the other choices next time. The price for the place isn’t too bad. 2 drinks and a small plate of mustard radish come to be less than $ 25. We were ready to pay and check out but no one came by or made eye contact with us for a good 15minutes. They weren’t even that busy… I guess they just paid more attention to returning customers. Ended up walking our cards up to the cashier ourselves and waited a couple more minutes until we were finally able to leave. Even though the drinks were a big meh and service could of been better I would still recommend this place for the novalty alone.
