Teddy’s Café has a Car Night on Thursday. It’s an older crowd generally. Some of the guys bring classic cars and some not. We all go in for a burger or some of there specials of the day. I some times have a soda and pie, in the past I have gotten chocolate cream pie, sometimes good sometimes not. Tonight 2-4-2016 I ordered the pie and it was not fresh, I mean it was sitting in the reefer that has glass doors, uncovered. Sal the waiter took the order and Julio the server delivered the pie to the table. The pie was not edible. I told Sal that the pie was not fresh, he claimed it was fresh that morning. I was baker in the military and I know the consistency of fresh and not fresh or two to three day old cream pies. They lose there pudding like freshness and start to become harder as they age. I had a serious disagreement with Sal. He told me I should never eat there again as I have had an issue with the pie in the past. As far as I’m concerned he was RUDE. Instead of offering some other pie, he became Rude. i now question the food from this establishment as I have heard of people getting sick. Summary: One should be careful of eating any meal here. I WILLNEVEREATTHEREAGAIN !!!

Teddy’s has the best roast beef open face sandwich & turkey sandwich. They are super generous portions. His fried chicken is also excellent. The price is really reasonable.

Teddy’s Café feels like small-town diner. Teddy and his staff are friendly, quick and always acknowledge regulars, of which there are many, because the food is home-cookin’ deliciousness and very reasonably priced. My husband and I have been going here for years, and it never disappoints.

We are so coming back. We have passed by for years and not stopped in because it is such a busy corner and thought it would be to packed but… Stopped in for a late breakfast with Mom. Service was fast and friendly. Food was homemade café style food. I had the Martin Omelette(named after a regular customer) with biscuits and gravy. All served fresh and hot. Mom had the bacon and eggs done perfectly. I saw baked goods in the case and beer and wine available. Great neighborhood friendly feel to the place. The thing I love about these kind of places is the eclectic mix of diners. It is like«any town USA». Nothing fancy schmancy just good.

Very hospitable basic diner/café. Food’s cooked to order, fresh, hot, tasty and affordable. Waiters don’t harass you but are attentive. You get what you order, where fish is fish, spinach salad is spinach and NO presence of fusion this or fusion that. Wonderfully surprised. They also have their own parking lot.

Got to say… Teddy is the man. He catered our Holiday luncheon and they stayed with the food to serve… WHAT! you are going to serve us? What an extra perk! The price was great and people were happy with the service. Gave him for stars only because he didn’t bring us all what was ordered. I think he was so overwhelmed that he just forgot. ANyway, no harm, no foul. GREATCATERING

Well what a place first I ordered the roast beef club type sandwich it was by far the worst I’ve ever had it tasted like wood, old meat… My wife had the salmon it was horrible… my son got the the jumbo shrimp it was over done tasteless. .and the meatball soup. .the meatballs looked white… I never ate it took two bites. .tried to give some to my wife she said it was bad tasting and smelled weird… the coffee was old to… the waitstaff was a nice lady came back to refill coffee 3 times. .the food was really bad… will never return ever. .our 8 year old son got sick and had to regurgitate his meal before he left… I believe the health department needs to take a look at this place. soon

Every time I’ve been to Teddy’s I’ve only had their breakfast as they serve it ALLDAY(huge plus btw). So on those weekends when you just feel like sleeping in after you’ve drank so much on Friday and just want some good comfort food, do yourself a favor and go to Teddy’s as it will not disappoint your hangover. They have their own parking lot, so you don’t need to bother looking for street parking, and prices are very reasonable. Service is great too, as they keep the refills on the coffee coming! Food is what you would expect from your average diner, so nothing too thrilling on the menu, just good old eggs, bacon, and pancakes! Pancakes were very good, they didn’t fall apart on me, and were fluffy on the inside.

Worst service ever! We waited at table that was filthy the waiter didn’t take drink order didn’t get a high chair even after 3rd time asked. served the people that came in after almost immediately with drinks meanwhile we still have gotten drinks. If we spoke Spanish maybe we would have gotten service but this place was terrible never again. Left after 30 minutes and still didn’t get drinks by then. If I didnt have to give a star I wouldn’t.

This is a cool old-school looking place on the corner of Bundy and Pico. They have their own big parking lot which is a huge plus for West LA! The interior is really interesting — it kinda has that 50’s vibe going with the décor, but isn’t too flashy. We each got the Westside Favorite — 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 sausages or strips of bacon — for $ 6. I’m pretty sure a meal this size at other breakfast/brunch places would be $ 8+, so I’m happy with the prices here. Our server was extremely friendly and really attentive. My scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy and had that nice almost gooey/wet texture that I like — overcooked scrambled eggs are the worst. The bacon strips were a little small but had a great crunch. And the pancakes were solid. I had enough food for 2 meals! This is your average, run-of-the-mill diner. Not amazing, but not bad.

This is the type of place you take your parents when they come visit. especially if your mom is from the South and enjoys the knick knacks at Cracker Barrel. My mother is extremely price conscious and gets excited about dollar stores and Jack-in-the-Box tacos. This place fits right in line. You won’t break the bank for a solid meal. You won’t eat gourmet and you’ll have to raise your voice while stretching your ear at times to have nice conversation over a meal. You will certainly not leave hungry or dissatisfied with the portion size. Your water cup will be flavored with dish washing detergents. Your lemonade will as well. Can’t go wrong with poached eggs and sausage links. Coffee isn’t the best but’s it definitely not terrible. Great value if you got a ten spot burning a hole in your pocket!

Teddy’s is my favorite diner on the Westside. Breakfast available all day, good honest food, great prices and super friendly staff. I eat there at least twice a month. Friday a week ago I had their fish & chips. The fish was perfect, the batter so tasty & the portion was huge and it was under $ 10!

I had heard about Teddys biscuit and gravy so I finally stopped in. I was doing a B & G drive by with just that and coffee. They are only $ 2.85! It was legit, not iconic, but worthy! Coffee, ok. I was impressed by the menu and prices. It’s like a dive diner that are going by the way of gourmet this and gastropub that. When I came back with family everyone had a solid brunch. I tried the corned beef hash, only ok but I had to try for you, my Unilocal bretheren. Sandwiches, burgers and breakfast all looking solid walkinhg by. They have a milk shake for $ 3 something, kind. Parking lot is small and cramped. I will be back.

This is a great breakfast spot on the west side. The owner was the head cook at Ray’s Diner. The food is great. Traditional American along with Mexican favorite. The house breakfast potatoes are a signature favorite. The service is fantastic. Bring cash. The have an ATM machine inside.

It’s a diner. Not a bad one, not a great one. They’ve got omeletes and hash browns and hot cakes and all the other stuff you would expect from an American«greasy spoon» style of diner. I had a bit of a hangover from the night before party, and came in here for the«hobo» omelet. Chicken, vegetables, and some broccoli are all helpful for hangovers. The omelet I had was«ok». The chicken was present, the broccoli was crunchy, and everything was hot. But that’s where the good of it ended. It was kindof bland. And the eggs had been cooked so fast they were a little rubbery instead of being fluffy and golden. The hash browns were mealy, greasy and not seasoned well, I didn’t much care for them. But they also help with a hangover so I ate them anyway. I liked the coffee, more for the mugs than anything else. I would give this place a «meh» 2 stars, but I’m giving them an extra one because I liked the décor of the place(had kindof an old-school feel to it, like someplace your grandparents would take you when you were a kid). The servers were friendly and my coffee cup was never empty, despite my intentional attempts to make it happen. Also there was plenty of parking in the lot so plus there. The bill came out to just under $ 11, so this is a good place to come for cheap eats on the Westside, just remember it’s a diner, not a bistro. Cliff’s Notes(TLDR) = mediocre quality at best, good for hangovers, endless coffee, lots of parking, good service. 3 stars. Will return(maybe).
