The Mod Barn

We hired Ryan to design and build a barn door. The door is beautiful but the installation and customer service were aweful. For the initial installation they were 2 hours late after saying they were on their way, they had to borrow a tool from us to do the install and they forgot pieces of bracket hardware so used exposed screws instead. They also left drill holes where they had missed the studs in the wall and did not fill them. The same crew was sent back the second time to fix the install mistakes even though we had asked that the same crew not be sent back. They fixed the issues and added a bottom bracket to hold the door at the bottom, which had not been done previously and made the door wobbly, but the door then scraped and made an aweful sound which the installer said we would need to talk to Ryan about. We called and emailed 4 times before he responded 3 days later leaving a message saying he would mail some touch up varnish for any scratches in wood and some felt to stop the scraping sound the door was making. It is now 3 weeks since we received that message from Ryan and we have yet to recieve anything from him. We ended up getting someone else to compete the install properly. Again, the door is beautiful… but based on our experience we would not use this company again.

I haven’t bought anything from this place… yet. Just went to check it out. The furniture and wood work is beautiful. Ryan, the gentleman that was there that day was super helpful, and drew up estimates and sketches of what I was looking for while I waited. They make everything custom to what you are looking for. We will definitely buy from them when we are ready.

I Needed to have a sectional J-​sectional couch which needed repair and had previously been upholstered over 10 years ago. Ryan was able to steer me to find affordable fabric. The couch in the Venice show-​room was so comfortable that I requested the same goose-​feather stuffing. Marco picked up the couch and delivered it at my convenience. Both Ryan and Marco were also accessible to my inquires. In addition, I had another couch reupholstered in baby-​blue faux suede. Both I and my husband are very satisfied with the two «new» couches.
