Worse experience ever! My friends and I came from Palm Springs for a night of bars in DTLA. Came to Jalisco for the drag show. After being here 10 minutes, we had security yelling at us in Spanish. I had no idea what they’re saying. Finally the main security guard explained there is a 2 drink minimum to be in the bar. No one explained that when we first entered, nor did they explain it to anyone else from our party as they arrived. Then when we tried to order our drinks, the female ‘Owner’ tried to deny us. This place is so distasteful for a drag show, it’s poor quality for what they charge for drinks. The atmosphere is run down and outdated. I should’ve stayed home in Palm Springs for better service, drinks and shows.

Weird place. No liquor license? Just wine and beer and fake low proof spirits? Couldn’t tell. Very cramped and dirty. Interesting… crowd.

Been here many times and live hanging out with the gay boys… You don’t have to be gay to have a gay’O time. Live drag shows with Spanish music is awesome and the dance floor. Nice spot to have a drink or 2, or 3 and groove to the beats.

Was excited to watch the drag show and the fact that there was no cover charge, but ordered jake and coke. They had no jake which was fine, but the house«whiskey» and«coke» was disgusting. A few of our friends ordered tequila and vodka and we all agreed all of our drinks tasted the same… disgusting…we got our bill and it was $ 10 plus per drink… if you want to have fun I would suggest order a bottled beer… maybe $ 15 a bottle? Never going back. :-(service was awful, when we told the bartender about how awful they drinks were they said«no they’re not » …okay… And continued to talk bad about us in Spanish… which we speak…

A pretty dirty bar… I was a little afraid to touch anything! The bartenders are pretty rude… the décor is very sticky and gross… everything had a sticky layer of dust… im glad it was very dim lighting… im affraid of what I would see if the lights were turned on… I would never come back here… im actually very surprised this place is not shut down. I did go to another gay bar in downtown called precinct… now thats the way a gay bar should be!

I wouldn’t rush back here, was a nice place to get a drink and chat with my friend. They didn’t start playing any music till around 10:30pm right before the drag show– which I didn’t stay for

My friends and I were shocked at how horribly weak the pours were. We popped in around midnight, after the LA Artwalk, on a Thursday. My four friends and I accounted for over 40 percent of the bar patronage. I can enjoy the upbeat music playing on the empty dance floor, but I’m inclined to dance to anything :-) :-) :-)

I couldn’t give this 0 stars other wise I would. The«bar» needs major remodeling. The menu is a poster board, which most items are not served. The«bartender» well she’s not even a bartender but a rude lady who gets mad if you interrupt her conversations. The«music» wait what music?! If remodeled nicely updated, music at all times and good music it would be a good place. I went there on a Friday to grab a drink before a late dinner with my cousin, and wow there was 6 people in there, 4 of them watching the Novela(soap opera) on the tvs. No music until I put some money on the juke box and it felt a little more like a bar. Needs major updating with a new bartender.

I love this place! I always have a great time here and the atmosphere is exactly what I expect. That said, this place is not perfect so if you come here expecting West Hollywood, you will be disappointed. If you come here expecting cheap beers, friendly clientele and staff, and good music and pretty good shows you will love it. Yes, the bathrooms could be cleaner, the neighborhood safer, and the hard liquor could be A LOT better! But this is a dive bar and one that has stood the test of time too! They must be doing something right. First, the bartenders are great. They are friendly and will remember you, provided you tip appropriately. The one kisses me from across the bar and affectionately calls me «Guero» which I take no offense too.(Its better than gringo in my eyes). He is always quick to serve me and I never have to wait for my beer or change. The way it should be… Compared to Tempo. At Tempo I’m waving banners(not literally) in an attempt to be served. At Tempo the bartenders are terrible! They have no personality and regardless of your tip they treat everyone the same. Second, the atmosphere is great. It’s small and dark and divey, but that’s the way I like it. On Friday and Saturday nights, the place is packed around 10pm. The music is playing everyone from Cumbia and Reggaeton to Rihanna and Lil Jon. More often than not people are dancing. On that note, everyone is really friendly and very humble. There are few if not any pretenses here. These are ordinary people from all walks of life and from many different Latin American countries. Spanish is not necessary, but it will help you to know a little. Hope this helps.

By far the worst bar I have ever visited. I ordered a couple of shots of Patron for my friends and I, paid 38.00 for it, drank the shot, and it wasn’t Patron. Not even sure what it was but when I asked the bartender about it he told me they didn’t have Patron. DONOTGOHERE.

Great casual, neighborhood bar, predominately Gay Latino, but like so many cool places, the hipsters are finding it.

I dont normally write reviews but i was compelled after my visit this past wednesday. my friend christos brought me here as an attempt to avoid west hollywood, which i was thankful for. i dont normally go to dive bars and given the exterior, i was hesitant. The moment we walked in, Angel the bartender greeted us and asked if we wanted anything to drink. given the fact that he was cute and muscular was definitely a welcome view. NOW, I will say the first round of drinks did taste like colgate, which brought into question what type of liquor i was really drinking and it could have ruined the night, but i was determined to have fun. I decided better just to recoup and guide him through the next round of drinks. I saw what options they had and ordered accordingly. He was so nice and sweet, i could not get mad at him. After that point, the drinks were great and he kept them flowing. They also had a drag show that night and even though i dont understand spanish, i really enjoyed it. The people were also nice and although i got a view questionable glances, i just chalked it up to my florescent green tank, lol lol. all in all a fun time, classic case of not judging the book by its cover. this is a gem spot that just needs some polishing The only down side was their AC was not working, thats if they have AC. That fan was not cutting it. thank god it was night time.

Celebrated a friends birthday here Wednesday night… She’s part of the drag show so did I have fun? Yes! A Completely different experience, drink are cheap, and everyone is so open and free in this place. Might come back again, but with my LGBTQ friends of course! ;)

Don’t go here, just don’t. They’re willing to scam you. Literally scam you on the liqour. I came in looking for any gay bar downtown, and found this shithole hoping that there would at least be a cool staff or nice people around. Nope! No, no, no, don’t go here, seriously. We ordered two whiskeys and got some off collored brown water. Being stupid, we shot the drink anyways, terrible idea. It tasted just like the brown water it appeared to be, we got the bartender back and asked what the drink was. He laughed a bit and said«Oh, it’s like some kind of like „special“ whiskey. It’s only like 20% Alcohol.» It wasn’t any kind of whiskey, and it didn’t taste like it had any kind of alcohol in it. Total bullshit, we payed for our beers and left.

Came here with some friends on a Wednesday night. There was a drag queen show that started around 10:30pm and we made it just on time to watch. The beers were super cheap and the service was good. I have never laughed so much at a show and to be honest with you, I had an awesome time here. The performers looked great and a couple of them really kept the crowd engaged and laughing. We will be back for another show!
