I made a reservation here for Wednesday at 7pm during DineLA Restaurant Week and ordered from their preset menu. The service here was great and I found that the portions of each course were very large where at the end of the meal, I was very full and had to take almost half my meal home. I found the arancini I ordered to be a little bland but other than that I thought the food was very good! I really liked the bowl of goodness with shrimp as it was very flavorful and I especially recommend this dish for all sriracha lovers! The Mulberry is a fruity cocktail that I recommend if you’re looking for something sweet and light. While the ambiance of the poolside, rooftop view was spectacular, I had to embarrassingly take my phone out to flash a light on the menu because of the dim lighting. However, other than that I found the service to be very attentive and overall experience here very good. I parked downstairs with valet and I was able to pay with card at the front desk. With validation from the restaurant the parking cost $ 8.

The service here is awesome, our server and the host were both very accommodating. We got here a little after 2pm on a Sunday for brunch without reservations and were seated immediately. Despite it being their restaurant week and having a few big parties to attend to, our service was very quick and pleasant. I ordered the Wilshire Salad and Wilshire Grilled Cheese that came with a non-alcoholic drink for $ 15 as a part of the Restaurant Week special. Full servings and worth it! The salad was amazing and a great balance of flavors but the grilled cheese was disappointing and sad. The cheese wasn’t fully melted, the filling was very sparse and felt like I was eating toasted bread with a little bit of jelly and cheese accidentally smeared on. The mimosa carafe is definitely the way to go, one is equivalent to 6 glasses. It’s about the price of 3 individual glasses.

I made reservations here for brunch on a Saturday morning at 11am. It wasn’t really clear when I called or when I arrived that they had my reservations but it wasn’t a busy time so thankfully we got in alright. I parked at the lot next door to the Kimpton Hotel and if you tell them you are eating at The Roof they’ll charge you $ 5. It’s a very cute roof top patio spot. It’s not a very tall building but the layout is welcoming. You have your bar, cabana tables, pool and lounge area. We sat next to the pool. I ordered a bloody mary. Bloody Mary’s are tricky because everyone has their own acquired taste for it. It was spicy like I asked but not the best one I’ve ever had. It had 2 olives and pepperocini as garnish. My friends ordered mimosas. The menu had some good options but I went with something I never had before and that was the Breakfast Lasagna. It was basically layers of cheese, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, possibly even gravy with maple syrup. I’m not sure what they did to the eggs and sausage. It was so mushy as if they blended it with gravy. I had to just take it apart and eat the pancakes. I wouldn’t order it again. My friends stuck to the simple breakfast: egg, toast, and side. I don’t think they had any complaints. Our waiter was attentive throughout our visit. I’d definitely try something else on the menu next time, but the ambiance is really what would bring me back.

Dissapointing breakfast service and food. The pancake lasagna thing was just kind of awul. Service was spotty because the staff seemed to be away most of the time running room service or ? I arrived 10 minutes after opening time and didn’t see anyone for 5 – 10 minutes. I was about to leave when a server appeared. I wish now that he hadnt. Breakfast the next day at McDonald’s down the street was much more satisfying.

Average food and(below) average service. We came in for Sunday brunch and there were lots of empty tables but they sat us at one of the less favorable spots. First of all it’s literally right next to the pool… so close that if I dropped my purse it would’ve fallen in the pool. Second it’s right in the middle of the whole roof so lots of wind coming from all directions. Lastly there’s not much of a view here like you get by the side seating by the windows. We requested a table change by the side and they said they were about to seat someone there. Fast forward 10 minutes later, that table’s still empty… so they lied to us. A couple gets the table later and after skimming the menu, they leave. The table is empty and they still don’t offer to move us :/ The food was decent but really nothing special imo. Pancake lasagna looks cool and everyone’s in awe when it first comes out, but it’s easy to get sick of it after the first few bites. I ordered scrambled eggs w/goat cheese, mushrooms, avocado and the eggs were basic but avocado was plenty and tasted very fresh. Overall an okay spot for brunch but when you’re in LA, there are sooo many cooler brunch spots that offer you better food, service, and view since the building itself isn’t even very high. Also only parking option is valet w/validation for $ 6 and $ 35 without, so don’t forget that validation folks!

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for awhile. It’s a pretty well known spot in LA. I went on a Wednesday evening, met a friend and her co-workers who were staying at this hotel. If you are planning to go to this restaurant, they validate upstairs $ 8 for 3 hours, which is reasonable compared to the price of the normal hotel parking. You take the elevator up to the 8th floor then there is another elevator to the restaurant. The restaurant has booths surrounding the pool, it’s pretty cool. The servers were really friendly, but took quite awhile especially considering it wasn’t very crowded at all. The drink menu is really creative and has some pretty interesting concoctions, a couple with jalapeño in them. I tried the cue southside was always really good. Ask for a mulberry shot, it’s really tasty and fruity. Polenta appetizer: delicious. Has the texture of grits, but it was really pretty thick. Tasted buttery. french fries were really good, perfect crispiness. Grilled cheese: don’t recommend. It has bell peppers in it, I appreciate the twist, but didn’t feel it went together very well. Our server recommended the burger and steak, if I go back I will give those a shot. The biggest selling point of this place is the great view, atmosphere, and drinks. Seems like a great happy hour spot.

Came here for my friends baby shower. Big group of girls. Our waiters were super accommodating. It starting raining just a tad and the wind was crazy on the rooftop. So at first we had our own little table, not on the same deck as the pool. Great views btw. However once the rain started coming in they did move everyone to the main covered area. We had a group of 10+ so they gave us a great table. I got the chicken club sandwich. It was good, hard to mess something like that up !(4 stars). Others got breakfast or lunch. Smaller menu with not a huge selection of choices. But great place for a rooftop brunch or to grab a drink! They also have valet & street parking if you get lucky.

Great spot for brunch! it’s not hard getting a seat here as long as you make reservations or if you get there early. You will not be disappointed with the sick view that you get here. Since it’s rooftop you get a nice view of the city, especially on a nice sunny day. Crab cake benedict, oh so good! They also have a pretty good cocktail menu for only $ 9. The unconditional bellini is my fav! The mimosa is only $ 5 what a steal! :)

My friend and I decided to check this place out after a recommendation by a friend! We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. The weather was nice & the view from the roof was pretty sweet! We checked in & got a free round of fries which we paired with our drinks! My friend got the spicy margarita? Can’t remember the exact names of each drink but it was good! I ordered the one with gin, basil, lime juice, soda etc. & it was quite refreshing! I like that this place was not crowded at all! It’s perfect for a date because you can actually have a conversation! Only downside is that the place is pretty small, so it can feel a little overwhelming. Service was great! Staff is very friendly! Next time I’ll have to come back to try their brunch!

The pros really outweighed the cons for me here. Cons were that the drinks were fairly pricey and the waitress TOTALLY judged us for sharing a jug of mimosa. But no shame because COLLEGESTUDENTS. Came here with three other friends to enjoy the free fries and the view :) I got a reservation for 11pm on a Friday but honestly there was no wait. They make it sound like they’re busy but there’s really not much of a nightlife in LA okay? Let’s be honest here. Mimosa was okay. The jug(forgot the real name) fills about 6 flutes but two of my friends didn’t really want refills so it was enough for us. They only allow one order of free fries per table so those were gone pretty quickly. The view though was nice despite it only being 6 – 8 floors up. If you’re used to that New York skyline or whatnot, it’s COMPLETELY different. You don’t have the bright lights from buildings but hey you won’t have another taller building blocking your view :) pros and cons guys. Bring a camera for some pics!

It was about 2pm I arrived at the Wilshire hotel pull in valet and took the elevator to the top floor that welcomes you to a hidden little treasure in miracle mile/Los Angeles… Great place for small groups or planned with the manager if over 6 guest. I do brunch with my girls every first Sunday of the month. So, this particular Sunday, about 11 of us showed up. There were two other large groups already in the only areas that would fit us all. We were kinda stuffed in a booth until one of the party finally left and a roomy table was avail. The staff is totally accommodating and kept our glasses filled with mimosa, I love that they wore uniforms. The host the valet everyone was totally awesome. Great service. The food was priced well. I ordered the Grilled Cheese which is on the sweet side and delicious.
